Chapter 324
Blake’s POV:
Everything at Seaside Manor termined unchanged, my memories crystal clear as if those days had happened juar yesterday.
I placed my land behind her head and leaned down to kiss her, desperate to feel that familiar doftness again. Her lips were soft and minist
For a moment, there were only intimate sounds between us. I pressed against her body, like a wolf exploring its territory, I wanted to gri deeper.

While kissing her, I used my thumb to massage the sensitive spot where her earlobe met her neck. I knew her
1 felt her body tremble with both desire and feat. My practiced movements suggested we had never been apart, but I could sense her resistance, though she was trapped firmly in my arms.

Just as I deepened the kiss, a sharp pain jolted me back to reality–she had bitten me. Hard.
The moment I released her, a resounding slap landed on my face. She glared at me fiercely, breathing heavily.
I took her hand, worried she might have hurt herself. “I’m not hurt. Don’t hurt yourself.
Her eyes held both humiliation and anger: “Blake, if you can’t even respect me enough not to touch me, what can you do?”
“You didn’t resist when I held you. When I mentioned our kiss in the snow, I thought you were giving me a chance… My explanation sounded pathetic.
She shoved me away forcefully: “You’re truly delusional!*
I felt my lips tremble. The extreme pleasure from moments ago had transformed into complete rejection.
She frantically wiped her lips with her sleeve as if trying to erase all traces of my kiss.
“Pop.”
A soft sound from nearby broke our standoff.
Looking back, I saw a small figure running away, leaving behind an open storybook… My heart sank. Nora. She had seen everything.
Anna’s POV:
Since that day when I slapped Blake and Nora witnessed it, she’s become increasingly withdrawn.
She started spacing out frequently, sometimes staring at Blake or me, sometimes just fixating on random objects, each episode lasting over ten minutes.
She began resisting expression, no longer asking for hugs or kisses, not even speaking up when hungry–just silently waiting until mealtime, then only taking a few bites.
The household hired a pastry chef specializing in children’s nutrition, who prepared small snacks throughout the day. Nora would play with these treats but wouldn’t eat them.
This situation continued for a week, Nora lost five pounds, and Blake and I were frantic but helpless.
We checked the security footage and discovered that she had seen everything that day. Perhaps the only thing she couldn’t accept was me slapping Blake.
For Nora’s sake, Blake and I reached an agreement, showing unprecedented cooperation. When at home, we became cautious with our actions, treating each other with mutual respect, like a real married couple.
One morning during breakfast, Blake sat beside Nora with his tie in hand. “Daddy has to go to work now and won’t be back until tonight. Will you miss me,

He waited, feceiving only silence in return.
1 took the tie from his hand and pulled him up, whispering: ‘Don’t resh it. Don’t make Nora feel this is important. We’re not foreleg her
Though I was comforting Blake, my heart burried with pain. When she was younger, Nora would freely express her dissatisfaction. Now, it felt like du had seated herself in an even deeper space.
Blake’s fingertips lightly grazed my cheek. The medical team has designed a specialized assessment questionnaire for Mora. My secretary just informed me that we can bring Nora in tomorrow morning.
I felt excited–since our confrontation, he had already been contacting the medical team.
“What kind of questions? Should we review them first? I’m not sure if Nora will understand them.”
I’ve seen the questions. They’re mostly picture–based, and the text is simple. Nora is smarter than most children her age, so don’t worry.”
I nodded silently. While abroad, I had visited many hospitals, but because Nora was too young, I could only intervene at home. Now…
Blake hugged me. “This time, I’m with you. You won’t have to face this alone again.”
My body stiffened as I glanced toward Nora, noticing she was looking up at us.
1 gently wrapped my arms around Blake’s waist, rising to place a light kiss on his chin. “Go on, come home early.”
Blake took a deep breath. “No matter what happens, I will protect you both for the rest of my life.”
“Just go already. Don’t act like you’re heading into battle.”
During this period, he had stayed at Seaside Manor to accompany Nora, never returning later than four in the afternoon.
When I looked up, he was smiling down at me.
A warm sensation in my palm startled me. Blake held it firmly, his gaze gentle as he looked directly at me, the tenderness reminiscent of the past.
“Enough…” I warned him.
Blake paused, then crouched beside Nora: “I love Mommy, that’s why I kiss her like that. I love you too, sweetie,
He took Nora’s small hand and placed a feather–light kiss on her palm before leaving.
so I kiss you the same way.”
Watching him go, I complained silently that this man had performed this act countless times this week, with “love” becoming a habit on his lips.
1 smoothed my frantically beating heart, telling myself this was just another one of his performances.
