I let his kiss wash over me, making everything seem more bearable.
1 cup his face in my hands, responding with equal passion.
I’ve always wondered about Blake’s sudden affection–how real could it be? I constantly question how much he truly loves me, and how much of myself 1 should give in return.
Give too much, and I’d be the one left shattered in the end. Give too little, and I’d never find any joy in this relationship.
But what if he only wants me as some kind of… remedy? What if I’m just a convenient solution to his problems?
Soaking wet for me already, arent you? How fucking bad do you want me?” Blake growled as he pinned me to the bed, his fingers literally ripping my silk nightgown before plunging between my thighs.
1 arched my back, gasping for air, barely able to string words together. “But you’re still sick… your heart’s racing way too fast… you’re gonna pass out…”

His hot tongue anoaded my ear, mimicking exactly what was happening below, making me shiver uncontrollably.
His mice was pure sex, so deep and raspy with need it vibrated through me. “Tonight I’m gonna make you scream your throat raw. Gonna make you come so many times you forget your own same. “How many points now?” he demanded. “Tell me, how much do you love me right now? Ten points? Twenty? (it more?
His whole demeanor changed, becoming eerily calm while my body continued to tremble uncontrollably. Tears leaked from my eyes head my caked
I thought it was over, but then he pulled me close again, holding me tight. Love me a little more, will you? he whispered.
“Blake,” I said, my voice cracking, “when you don’t need me anymore, just let me go. The points won’t matter then.”
“Never!” he growled.
“Then before we’re both ready to really commit to this marriage again, don’t ask me how many points. Otherwise, I’ll only answer that there aren’t many
The bed suddenly shook. ‘T’ll punish anyone who’s stubborn, he threatened, then contradicted his words by pulling me against his chest, his hand soothingly stroking my back, kissing the top of my head like I was some frightened animal.
“Blake, get better soon,‘ I whispered, thinking silently: Get better, so I won’t have to be your medicine anymore.
For the next three days, Blake kept me in his bed, determined to prove his fever wouldn’t affect his abilities.”
By dawn of the fourth day, Blake’s fever had completely broken, but I couldn’t even stand from the three days of non–stop lovemaking
My lips were swollen from his kisses, my neck and chest covered in marks, clear fingerprints bruised my waist and inner thighs, and my legs couldn’t close properly.
Blake turned gentle then, drawing a bath and carefully washing every inch of my skin, His fingertips traced over the red marks he’d left, his eyes showing a complex mixture of guilt and satisfaction.
He prepared a nutritious meal and fed me bite by bite.
When his finger traced a prominent hickey on my collarbone, I saw the naked possessiveness in his eyes. “These are all my marks,” he said softly. “Reminding everyone who you belong to.”
On the fourth day, a knock interrupted us. Blake scowled. “If that’s Seth again, I won’t be polite this time!”
I followed him to the door, supporting myself against the wall. When it opened, it wasn’t Seth standing there–it was Claire.
She immediately threw herself into Blake’s arms. “Blakey,” she pouted, “it’s bad enough you never come home, but aren’t you even going to visit Dad anymore?”
