Chapter 205
Blake’s POV:
1 kept my eyes closed when she got into the car.
The memory of Anna with Seth made my blood boil, but I kept my composure, at least on the outside.
I need your help, her voice broke the silence. ‘Emily and Seth I want them to be safe.
I finally opened my eyes, my gaze piercing through her. I told you, you’re asking for too much.”
“Because what you want, I happen to have,” she replied, her voice steady despite the tension between us.
I looked at her with contempt, sizing her up like a business asset rather than the woman I once loved. ‘Is this how you ask for a favor?
She inhaled sharply, visibly trying to control her emotions. “How do you want me to act?”
My patience was wearing thin. “I don’t have time to waste here with you. If you can’t make up your mind, get out.”
Something inside me snapped when I thought of Seth again. My rational mind crumbled.“Get out now!” I shouted, my hand suddenly pressing against het throat, the other reaching for the door handle.
I noticed her glance toward the hotel entrance. Following her gaze, I saw Emily’s mother still waiting there. Anna grabbed my sleeve desperately. “No I can’t
get out!”
Tears welled in her eyes, one dropping onto my hand. The warm wetness of it gave me pause.
I withdrew my hand from her throat and in one swift motion pulled her onto my lap.
I could feel her body trembling against mine, the heat of her skin through her clothes. I gripped the back of her neck with one hand, the other holding her waist, anchoring her to me.
‘I gave you a chance,” I warned, my voice low and dangerous. “If you don’t get out now, there’s no turning back.”
She nodded, her body rigid with tension.
‘Look at me,” I commanded, hands sliding down to grip her thighs, pulling her closer until our breaths mingled.
My fingers traced up her spine, feeling her shiver at
touch. Her dress had ridden up, and my palms found bare skin as I moved them slowly, deliberately.
I unfastened the top buttons of her blouse, my cold fingers touching her collarbone. I stared at her with undisguised dominance, watching her reaction to my control.
Her breathing became erratic as I studied her lips. Her mind seemed to drift away from the moment.”
I squeezed her chin forcefully, making her focus on me. My fingers left faint red marks on her cheek.
A vengeful impulse took over. I bit down on her lower lip–not a kiss, but punishment. I wanted her to understand the cost of betrayal.
She trembled in pain but didn’t pull away, her hands clutching my shirt so tightly the fabric nearly tore.
Her soft body pressed against mine as she winced. The metallic taste of blood filled my mouth.
I released her, my tongue lightly tracing her injured lip. I tasted One hand still gripped her waist tightly..
I brushed my finger across the blood on her lip, smearing it along her chin and neck. “Now you’ve bled for me too,, I said quietly.
Against my intentions, I didn’t go further. I’d meant to punish her more, but something in her eyes–that complete surrender–threw me off balance,

I released my hold and pushed her away, returning her to the seat beside me.
The driver entered the car, and I instructed him to head toward New York.
As we merged onto 1-90, I glanced at Anna; she looked puzzled about what I was up to.
I stared out the window silently, remembering out past trips to New York together. Those memories now tasted bitter.
During the long journey, Anna fell asleep. I remained awake, my mind churning with thoughts of betrayal and revenge.
Hours later, we arrived at our destination. I pushed Anna’s shoulder to wake her.
“Get out,” I said coldly.
She looked outside, recognizing the building Seth had purchased for her. Her expression changed to one of realization–I knew everything
Yeah, I knew all about how Seth bought the damn house and how they’d been fixing it up together, dreaming about their perfect future. It was just so fucking sweet!
“I’m not getting out,” she whispered.
I remained silent.
“There’s no point. I won’t come back here again,” she added, staring out the window.
Frustration surged through me. I exited the car, slamming the door behind me. I strode around to her side and yanked her door open, grabbing her wrist and pulling her out forcefully.
She lost her balance, falling to her knees on the pavement. “Blake… she gasped.
I noticed her twist her ankle, but hesitated only briefly before hauling her up with one hand.
At that moment, my anger towards her overshadowed any sympathy I felt.
“I twisted my ankle… I…” she winced, struggling to keep pace.
“Remember, you’re the one asking for a favor,” I cut her
. “Don’t expect any special treatment from me anymore.”
She no longer loved me. Her heart had changed. While we were fighting, she’d let another man in–Seth. That was betrayal I couldn’t forgive.
