Chapter 112
Anna’s POV:
sat fcross from Make at the elegantly set table, watching the satisfed smile spread across his face,
He’d just proudly informed me that all the negative comments about ine naline had been removed. Like I should be grateful. Like this was some precious gift he’d bestowed upon me.
“I took care of it,” he said, his voice low and confident. Every nasty comment, every hit piece deleted. No one will hurt you like that again.”
A hot wave of anger rushed through me, but I kept my expression nectral. Two months. Two fucking months of patience and evidence gathering, all wrecked by his so–called “belp.”
Did he think he was helping me? Led just destroyed my entire plan to clear my name and expose Claire’s true nature to the public.
1 remembered every careful step 1d taken these past months: protending everything was normal with Blake, playing the bullied victimsin front of Claire, contacting various sources to collect evidence, setting the stage for the truth to explode at the perfect moment… and now it was all wasted because of Blake’s so–called “heb”
“Anna?” Blake called me, reaching across to touch my hand.
OP
Did he have any idea what these days had been like for me? Being attacked online by Claire’s fans, having my privacy exposed social media, enduring the strange looks from Wright family relatives and friends… and I’d endured it all waiting for the perfect moment to strike back.
My chest tightened, especially when I thought about how I’d played the loving, understanding wife these past weeks. Playing along with Blake’s fantasy that our marriage could still be saved.
The funniest part? I’d actually believed that once 1 had all the evidence, we might find a shred of real feeling between us again. Now it seemed my last hope for us should die too.
My mouth hung slightly open, unsure how to respond. Blake gently closed it with his thumb, then leaned forward to place a soft kiss on my lips. The kiss felt like ice against my skin, and I couldn’t untrol the trembling of my lips.
“You… found out who was behind it?” My voice shook badly, but Blake seemed to mistake it for gratitude.
“I did.” He said confidently.
Those two words hit me like a sledgehammer. My last hope shattered–I’d wished he at least didn’t know, that he wasn’t once again. deliberately choosing Claire over me.
Then my mind buzzed with confusion as I heard him say he was finally ready to answer my earlier question. He chose me over Claire and wanted to send her to Europe… How ridiculous.
I couldn’t help but laugh coldly: “Now he says this? After everything’s turned to ash? If he’d chosen me firmly from the beginning. I wouldn’t have suffered so much from Claire’s schemes.”
I brought up Claire, the photos of them in bed, and the issue with her ruptured corpus luteum, but he denied it all
He insisted that it was Claire’s former colleague who hurt her, causing the rupture and hospitalization. He said Claire had been through so much that he just didn’t have the emotional bandwidth to care about my feelings.
As I looked at his seemingly hurt expression, I found myself lost in thought. Should I really still believe what he was saying?

1 took a deep breath, staring into his eyes, “Can I believe you?
Blake didn’t answer directly. He bunched forward, elbows on his kutis, looking like someone had punched him in the heart.

For a moment, I felt an urge to reach not and hold him. He looked like he was about to break down, vulnerability etched across his face, overshadowed by a heavy grayness, But with everything
happened, we’d lost the right to comfort each other.
Blake stood up unsteadily. “Anna.” His finger pointed at me, words taping him, “I need to calm down.”
As he turned to leave, I called out, “Don’t go. I have something to show you.”
I sat down with a smile and began laying out the evidence I’d been carrying, presenting each item like courses in a meal
“This is the record of Claire spreading rumors about me online.”
These are chat logs of her encouraging her fans to target me.”
This audio file contains Claire’s confession to framing me.”
“Blake, even if there’s nothing
between you two, how am I supposed to settle this score with her?”
Blake’s shoulders shook slightly before he let out a small laugh. His posture straightened, eyes filling with coldness and distance.
“So this is why

Blake suddenly bent down and gripped my face, yanking me from my seat.
“So this is how you tricked me at the hospital in Switzerland!” he growled. “With that poor, pitiful act!”
His eyes blazed red as he shoved me away, his appraising gaze turning to disgust.
“Anna, are you fucking playing me?” he roared,

“Blake, I just wanted to prove my innocence; I hadn’t done anything wrong.” I
gently touched the evidence on the table, my vision unfocused, unable to see Blake’s face clearly.

A knife hit the floor,
