Chapter 20: Newlyweds
Cattleya’s POV
"Excuse me?" I said, scoffing nervously.
He stepped forward, our bodies inches apart. I could feel his warmth radiating from him.
I gasped as he slowly unzipped my dress from behind, his eyes never leaving my face.
"Turn around. It makes it difficult for me to undress you," he said.
I turned around nervously. So this was it. I was truly giving in to the monster, and I had no idea how to escape.
Was this some kind of sacrifice to find out the truth and bring down the Mafia Lord?
I gasped softly as his soft hand touched the bare skin of my back.
"There you go. You can breathe better now," he whispered, pausing.
I was startled to hear that! He had only unzipped the back of my gown. He then took off his upper clothes and trousers, diving into the bed. "Good night, wife," he said.
I thought of something so dirty tonight, yet this man was so unpredictable.
He hadn't even let me breathe to think that he was going to do something nasty to me.
I gasped softly as I watched him close his eyes, looking so tired.
I put my hand to my chest and took slow, steady breaths. Then, I whispered to myself, "Damn, that was close."
I walked to the bathroom and took a quick shower, using their shampoo even though I didn't like it. I had no choice.
Then, I smiled as I noticed a new conditioner. Had he planned all of this?
After my shower, I put on a bathrobe and sat down slowly on the bed, trying not to make any noise.
I lay in bed, wrapped in the bathrobe, as I had nothing else to wear.
This sleepover had been a surprise, with no warning.
I turned off the lamp and thought about the meaning of sleeping together.
This new meaning was truly literal - no touching, no sex. He was a gentleman in bed, but I knew deep down that he wasn't always like that.
The next morning,
When I woke up, I was startled to see a man standing in my room.
He was opening the window, staring out at the beautiful scenery.
"Good morning," he said.
Then I realized I had married him last night, slept together, and now I was on his property, waking up to this view.
My eyes widened when he turned around, and I gulped as my eyes landed on his naked chest and sculpted stomach.
I stammered, "W-Why don't you put a shirt on?"
He plastered a soft smile on his face, and I was a little captivated by his beauty.
He looked like a dashing king in the morning, smiling at me charmingly. I looked away, feeling like he noticed my reaction.
Damn. I should not react like that.
I should keep my mouth shut and not hang it open like I saw an angel in front of me.
Then I thought to myself, "He's the devil. I should not fall for him. No. Nothing. I should be the one breaking his heart, not the other way around."
I gasped as I felt his hand on my thigh. Then I realized he was already sitting on the edge of the bed, slowly stroking my left thigh.
"I asked you again, where do you want to eat?" he asked.
I distanced myself from him and stood up.
"I want to go back to my condo. I need to get my things there, and this afternoon, I have an appointment with some people who can help me with my case."
"Case?" he scoffed.
"Yes. You know I'm working a lot to find the killer," I said sarcastically, but half meant it.
"Alright, but we need to eat breakfast first thing in the morning. Where do you want to eat? Here or outside?" he asked in an annoyed, calm voice.
I looked around and bit my lower lip. "Why don't we eat here? I'm sure you have some food stock here."
"Alright. But you have to prepare-" he began.
I put my finger on his lower lip. "Shhh, I can manage."
"You know how to prepare your own breakfast?" he asked in surprise as he followed me downstairs.
I laughed softly. "What do you think of me? A fool?"
"No, but you do act like a fool," he said.
When I turned around, he wasn't looking at me.
"What did you say to me?" I frowned at him.
"Oh, I apologize if I offended you so much," he said, trying to stop himself from smiling at me. "I know you hate me. I hate you too."
I rolled my eyes and opened the fridge to prepare our breakfast.
I made burritos for both of us, then prepared his American espresso coffee; mine was just milk.
We ate together in the kitchen like a normal couple. And when I saw our reflection in the mirror, we really looked like a couple enjoying their morning together.
He noticed me staring at our reflection in the mirror.
"What? Did you just realize now that we looked good together?" he asked.
I looked away and blushed.
I don’t want to admit that he was right!
I knew that we looked good together, but I didn’t want him to know that he affected me so much!
Oh, come on, self. You have to stop yourself!
He laughed and pulled my hand closer to him. He kissed my knuckles, and my heart was beating so fast that I asked him in a low voice, "What are you doing?"
"Planting a sweet kiss like newlyweds do…" he answered as he continued doing that.
I tried to free myself from his grasp, but he rose to his feet, took my hand, leaned in close, and aggressively kissed my lips without uttering a word.
"I know you want this," he said in a whisper.
"Jaxon..." He held me in his arms when I tried to get up.
Until my bathrobe slowly came off. My breast was facing him, and I gasped, "Jaxon!" I yelled at him and tried to hide my breasts.
He tried to grab my hand that was over my chest and said, "Let me."
I could feel his finger slowly moving up and down my thigh until it was between my legs. I let out a soft gasp when it touched the most sensitive part of my body.
"Tell me, Catt. Has a guy touched you like this before?"
"N—Not yet..." I shook my head.
"No?"
I nod my head, “No.”
He lifted me up above the sink and he demanded, “Spread your legs….”
