Chapter 186: Our sweet era 1

The Wizard of Gwi shook his head slowly, turning his gaze toward me. "She is Saebyeok now... and the only right thing to do is make things right before she adds a single month to her existence."

I nodded quickly, without a second thought.

Without hesitating, the Wizard lifted the infant from the bed, holding her up to look into her face. The baby let out an innocent, sweet giggle, but the Wizard merely chuckled darkly back at her.

"Saebyeok and her cunning ways," he murmured. "Using an innocent act to stop what is inevitable."

Gently, he placed his palm over the child's face, covering her eyes for a fleeting moment. When he withdrew his hand and laid her back onto the mattress, the baby simply closed her eyes and stilled. The dark, suffocating aura vanished completely, and her breathing ceased in absolute peace.

Only then was I finally able to exhale a breath I felt like I had been holding for months.

The Wizard turned to the Seer. "You are fortunate. Had she stayed under your roof for even one more month, you would not have survived it. She would have taken your life first."

I shook my head in absolute terror. How could Saebyeok still plan such malice after everything that had happened?

Siwoo reached over, taking my hand and pulling me away from the heavy atmosphere of the room. A bright, triumphant smile lit up her face. "Right now, we have something far more important to focus on, Jina. I can't wait for you to say 'I do' to my brother!"

She dragged me out to the car, and within twenty minutes, we pulled up outside a grand bridal boutique where rows of classic, breathtaking wedding gowns filled the floor-to-ceiling glass display windows.

I let out a long breath, turning to Siwoo. "Really? Right now?"

"Yes, Jina! Really!" she cheered, pulling me inside.

She immediately began pointing out different designer pieces mounted along the mirror walls. But my eyes swept past them all until they finally landed on an elegant, long-sleeved silk gown displayed in the center. It was simple, timeless, and completely captivating.

Siwoo ushered me straight into the fitting room. The moment the zipper glided up and I turned to face the mirror, the dress fit as if it had been hand-stitched for my body alone. Siwoo gasped, tears welling in her eyes as she threw her arms around me.

"This time... we are entering our sweet era, Jina," she whispered emotionally. "No more trauma. No more dark prophecies. Just pure happiness from here on out and I want you to enjoy every single second of this journey. Remember that."

I smiled, nodding softly as warmth flooded my chest.

Suddenly, my phone began to ring. Raven's deep, anxious voice echoed through the speaker before I could even bring the receiver to my ear.

"Where are you?! Jina, why didn't you tell me before leaving the house?!"

I smiled, casting a playful look at Siwoo before answering him. "Relax, Raven... we're buying my wedding gown."

I heard a heavy, audible exhale of pure excitement and relief over the line before he hurriedly hung up to coordinate with the venue team.

From that moment on, preparations moved smoothly. Raven chose a stunning, secluded botanical estate for the ceremony he had always wanted an outdoor wedding surrounded by nature, and everything fell into place seamlessly as the days flew by.

Throughout the entire process, Raven never left my side. He refused to let me travel anywhere alone, insisting we do every task together, and we spent nearly every night wrapped in each other's arms. He was so devoted that he even tried to take on all the heavy planning himself to spare me any effort.

I constantly had to stop him from overworking, doing my best to hide the faint spells of dizziness that crept up on me throughout the week. I brushed the fatigue off, assuming it was just the physical toll of stress and back-to-back wedding arrangements catching up to me.

Soon enough, the day of the wedding arrived under a brilliant, cloudless sky.

Raven's arrangements were absolute perfection. The garden was draped in white silk and soft pastel blossoms. The guest list was kept intimate, filled only with those who truly mattered including the Wizard of Gwi, Yoon, Eunwoo, and a few close, trusted allies from our past days at Haneul Ridge Academy.

The morning of our wedding arrived like a clear, golden sunrise, bright and uninterrupted by the shadows of our past. In my long white dress, stepping down the aisle toward Raven felt like walking straight out of a nightmare into a dream I never thought I d be allowed to keep.

Everything was absolute perfection.

Raven hadn't stopped smiling all morning. His joy wasn't just for today, but for the life waiting for us after this moment the long-awaited journey we were going to take together with Siwoo. A peaceful, quiet trip back to London, to leave all the dark memories behind. But before we could board that plane, there was still one small stop we needed to make.

The pastor stood before us in the garden, his voice carrying over the gentle rustle of the trees, asking the sacred vows that would bind our lives together forever.

Raven held my hand tightly, his ring held between his fingers as he looked down at me, his eyes shining with absolute devotion. "Jina... I have waited for this moment for so long. Through everything in sickness and in health. The only thing that could ever tear us apart now is death itself. This isn't a prophecy... this is our destiny."

Behind us, Siwoo quietly dabbed at the tears overflowing from her eyes, and my own throat tightened as a sob threatened to break through my smile.

"Until death do us part," we spoke together, our voices ringing out in soft unison.

Gently, he slid the ring onto my finger, and I slid a matching band onto my husband's hand.

"I now pronounce you husband and wife," the pastor announced with a warm smile. "You may kiss the bride."

Raven didn't hesitate for even a fraction of a second. Before the words had even fully left the pastor's mouth, he stepped forward, wrapped his arms tightly around my waist, and pulled me into a fierce, breathless kiss.

The small crowd burst into cheerful applause, whistles, and shouts of celebration echoing through the botanical garden. Raven held me close, resting his forehead against mine as we caught our breath, both of us unable to stop smiling.

"Okay, Jina!" Siwoo suddenly chimed in, stepping forward without making the slightest attempt to hide her scheming smile. "You said you had something important to tell Raven, didn't you? I think right now is the absolute best time!"

"Siwoo...!" I gasped, my face flushing bright red as I raised a hand to playfully smack her arm.

Raven blinked, looking back and forth between his sister's smug grin and my blushing face in utter shock. "Wait... what something? What are you two hiding from me now?"
