Chapter 1055: Extra 5
Tina didn't know.
As the baby grew day by day, Tina's belly also gradually got bigger.
Especially in the last two months, her belly quickly rounded out like a balloon.
Soon, it was 36 weeks.
Thinking that the baby was almost full-term and might come out to meet her in less than a month, Tina was particularly excited these days.
But she never expected her water to break late at night.
When she discovered it, some of the amniotic fluid had already leaked, and she was extremely panicked.
She immediately grabbed her phone and called Alexis.
Alexis was very anxious, running to check on her while calling Ennifer.
Fortunately, Ennifer was able to stay calm and rational at the critical moment and quickly called a car to take them to the hospital.
At the hospital, the doctor immediately conducted an examination.
The amniotic fluid had indeed broken, but the baby's fetal heart monitoring and other data were still good. The doctor reassured them not to worry.
Since Tina was already having some contractions, the doctor suggested they could try a natural birth first, and if it didn't work, then go for a C-section.
Tina nodded in agreement.
Alexis and Ennifer knew why Tina agreed.
So, Ennifer immediately called Vincent.
Luckily, the call went through.
"Tina, this time you talk to him!"
"Okay." Tina nodded in pain.
Vincent immediately noticed something was wrong with her voice. "Tina, what's wrong? Are you feeling unwell?"
After enduring a wave of contractions, Tina spoke while breathing heavily. "Vincent, I might be about to have the baby."
Vincent was stunned and stood there in a daze.
"Tina, isn't your due date still more than twenty days away?"
"Yes, it's not the due date yet, but maybe the baby is in a hurry, so it's coming early. Vincent, you said before that you would come back when I have the baby. Does that still count?"
As soon as she asked, Tina was in so much pain that she couldn't hold the phone anymore.
Maybe he answered, but she was in too much pain and screamed, so she didn't hear it.
Or maybe he didn't answer at all.
Tina didn't know for sure; she only knew she was in a lot of pain.
After another five hours, the dilation was still not ideal, and more importantly, the amniotic fluid was not in good condition and had become cloudy. The baby's fetal heart was also not doing well.
So the doctor suggested an immediate C-section, as delaying further could put the baby at risk.
Tina glanced at the door of the ward, hesitated for a moment, and nodded. "Okay, let's do the C-section."
The doctor quickly prepared everything, and ten minutes later, Tina was urgently wheeled into the operating room.
Before going in, Alexis and Ennifer held her hands and comforted her, "Tina, don't worry, Ennifer and I are right outside. Trust the doctors; you and the baby will be safe."
"Don't be nervous, we're here with you."
Tina nodded. "Okay, Mom, Ennifer, I know, thank you."
But as she said this, a few crystal-clear tears still fell from the corners of her eyes.
They all knew what she was waiting for, but in the end, she didn't get a good result, and she didn't see the person she wanted to see.
Tina lay on the operating table, starting to close her eyes little by little.
From the two doors at the beginning to just a small gap at the end.
Tina lost all hope, closed her eyes in despair, and gently turned her head.
At that moment, a voice came from outside. "Tina, wait!"
