Chapter 205
What happened next felt like things spiraled out of control.
By the time we finished fucking, I was drenched in sweat, even my hair was wet and stuck to my cheeks.
I had no strength left in my body, couldn't even be bothered to lift a finger.
Jason carried me back to the bedroom.
The next day.
I stood at the study door, knocked, and held out my hand to Jason who was inside handling work.
"Give me the laptop."
Jason sat in his chair without moving, raising an eyebrow, "Come get it yourself."
I glared at him fiercely.
I didn't want to go in there.
I didn't want to go in that study for a while!
The desk, the chair, even the window—all contaminated!
Forget about going in, just standing at the door made me think of those embarrassing scenes from last night.
"I told you to bring it, so bring it. Can't I even boss you around anymore?"
I raised my voice, both embarrassed and annoyed.
This bad man!
Such a rogue!
When he goes wild, there's no stopping him!
Jason quickly got up, grabbed the laptop and brought it to me.
I snatched the laptop over, glared at him angrily, and turned to go to the bedroom.
After carefully checking my resume and making sure there were no problems, I browsed job postings online and sent out over a dozen resumes based on my requirements and their needs.
Now it was just a matter of waiting.
I let out a soft breath, closed the laptop and went downstairs.
The backyard ground was still empty, not planted yet.
Since I had time today, I went to the storage room to get tools and came over to turn the soil.
"Honey, what are you doing? Playing a treasure hunt game?"
Jason's voice came from above.
I stopped what I was doing and looked up at Jason poking his head out the window, "Turning the soil. In a while when the weather warms up, I can plant vegetables."
This was the life I'd always dreamed of.
And just thinking about Jessica and Jason eating vegetables I grew myself filled me with energy!
Jason smiled, "Need help?"
I waved my hand, "No need, you focus on work."
Jason blew me a kiss, "Go honey, I believe in you!"
I nodded, "You too honey, don't slack off, go work!"
If he didn't go work soon, Samuel would probably cry.
Lily called to invite me shopping.
After we met up, I asked, "What do you want to buy today?"
She wasn't like Kelly, who shopped everywhere for no reason.
When Lily asked me to go shopping, she usually had something specific to buy.
Lily nodded seriously, "I want to buy a dog."
"A dog?"
I was a bit surprised, but thinking about how Lily's love life wasn't going well and her home was cold and empty, having a dog for company would be nice, "Sure, let's go check out a pet store."
As soon as we walked into the pet store, Lily asked the owner directly, "Boss, do your dogs bite people?"
The owner smiled and shook his head, "No, don't worry. All our dogs are really well-behaved and obedient. They're all gentle and sweet dogs, they definitely won't attack people!"
Lily looked disappointed.
She shook her head and pulled me toward the exit, "Never mind if they don't bite."
I was pulled out of the pet store with a confused look on my face.
"Lily, what are you trying to do?"
I was puzzled.
Everyone else who gets a dog wants one that won't bite people.
But she wanted to find a dog that bites?
"I'll be straight with you!"
Lily scratched her hair, her tone irritated, "Chris keeps coming around to harass me lately. He's as annoying as a fly, I'm about to lose it!"
"After thinking it over, I figured getting a dog would be perfect. As soon as he comes again, I'll just set the dog on him and let it bite him to death! How can there be such a shameless person in this world!"
Now I understood why she suddenly wanted to buy a dog.
But...
I shook my head and tried to talk her out of it, "Lily, you're so angry at Chris you're not thinking straight. Even if you specially picked a dog that bites, if it actually bites Chris, what if he tries to scam you? He may be shameless, but he's still from the Miller family. If he uses this to blackmail you for money until you're broke, what if you can't pay? What if he takes the opportunity to force you to be his mistress?"
Lily looked at me with rather resentful eyes.
I felt a bit awkward.
After we stared at each other for a moment, Lily broke the silence first, "Then what should I do? Sue, I really have no other options. How can someone be this annoying? I'm about to have a nervous breakdown."
"He puts flowers at my door every day and keeps knocking. If I don't open it, he just keeps knocking. Even when I chase him away with a knife, he still has the nerve to come back the next day!"
"Moving probably won't help either. It'd be easy for him to find my new address, and then he'd just follow me there!"
I thought for a moment and patted Lily's shoulder gently.
"I've got an idea. Tomorrow afternoon I'll come to your place and help you deal with him properly."
Lily's eyes lit up for a moment, then she looked at me with surprise, "What are you planning to do to him?"
"Don't worry about that, I've got a plan."
The next afternoon, I went to Lily's place.
Lily looked at me nervously and expectantly, her eyes scanning my hands and behind me. When she found nothing, she looked away disappointedly.
"Sue, can you tell me now what you're planning to do? I'm telling you, don't underestimate Chris. When it comes to being shameless, Chris is in a class of his own!"
I smiled and reassured her, "Don't worry, just leave it to me."
I really had no way to deal with Chris myself, but someone else could.
I hadn't been there long when someone knocked on the door.
I stopped Lily from going to answer it and walked to the door myself.
Sure enough, it was Chris.
When he saw it was me, his expression changed, "Why is it you? What are you doing here?"
I crossed my arms and raised an eyebrow at him, "This is my friend's house. Is there a problem with me being here? You're the one—don't you have a fiancée? What are you doing here?"
Chris's tone turned cold, "None of your business!"
I sneered, "None of my business? You're harassing my friend—that's very much my business!"
Without giving him a chance to react, I immediately pulled out my phone and started recording his face.
Chris quickly covered his face, raising his voice, "What are you doing? Put the phone down!"
I said with a smile, "Tyler keeps calling me wanting to meet up. I bet he'd be really curious about what his son does every day. What do you think he'd think if he saw you shamelessly clinging to someone?"
Chris frowned.
I continued, "Oh, and I definitely need to show Ms. Blair this exciting content. Although I'm not close with Ms. Blair, Jason has plenty of ways to make sure this video gets in front of her."
Chris's face grew darker and darker.
I acted like I didn't notice, "As far as I know, the Miller family values the alliance with the Blair family very much. How about we bet on whether Ms. Blair will still marry you after watching this video?"
Chris clenched his fists at his sides. Unwilling to give up, he said stubbornly, "I didn't do anything. What can your video prove?"
