Chapter 201

Chapter 201

I was deeply touched and accepted the gift without hesitation.

But I have no plans to move right now.

This villa might seem small from Thomas's perspective, but I'm already very satisfied with it.

Not to mention, every corner of this villa is something Jason and I once dreamed about together.

Living here makes me feel like I'm living in the future I hoped for. It makes me very happy.

Fortunately, Thomas didn't insist. He respected my choice.

Lily woke up with a splitting headache.

She saw the note I left, went to the kitchen to heat up some porridge, and sat in the dining room eating slowly.

Her head was foggy, making it hard for her to feel energetic.

The doorbell suddenly rang.

Lily was startled at first, then turned to look at the door.

A wave of hope she couldn't ignore rose in her heart.

Was it Ryan?

The porridge wasn't finished yet, but Lily wiped her mouth, rushed back to her room to put on makeup, and deliberately changed her clothes before going to answer the door.

When the door opened, she saw Chris's annoying face.

Lily frowned, "Why is it you?"

"Why can't it be me?"

Chris stared at her, then suddenly smiled, "Did you fight with your boyfriend? I knew you two..."

"Shut up! It's none of your business!"

Lily impatiently cut him off.

Chris also frowned, "Lily, you've changed. Why have you become so crude? You weren't like this before."

"So what? This is who I am! Get lost right now. I don't want to see you. Just looking at you makes me sick, I'm about to throw up my food! Aren't you disgusted with yourself for being so shameless?"

Lily was already in a bad mood. After yelling at Chris, she tried to close the door.

Chris pushed his way in before she could, and sat down on the sofa as if he were the owner of the place.

Lily stared at him coldly.

Chris's examining gaze swept around the room, finally stopping on the half-finished porridge.

He called someone to deliver food.

Lily had had enough, "Chris, are you brain-damaged or hard of hearing? I told you to get lost, didn't you hear me?"

Chris said, "I know you're in a bad mood because you fought with Ryan, but what does that have to do with me? I came here today to care about you, not to listen to you throw a tantrum."

"Is your concern worth anything? Just looking at you makes me sick. Get out! Get out now!"

"Lily! My patience has limits. You'd better know when to stop."

Lily laughed in anger.

"Do you think I should be kneeling down thanking you right now? If you're sick in the head, go see a doctor! Stop hanging around in front of me. I'm asking you one last time, are you leaving or not?"

Chris opened his mouth, "Lily..."

"Fine, you won't leave?"

Lily strode into the kitchen and came out holding a gleaming kitchen knife.

Chris's expression changed, his voice rising, "Are you crazy? I just came to care about you, and you want to attack me with a knife? Even if you do this, the Scott family won't accept you. No matter how hard you scheme, you won't be able to marry into that family!"

"What makes you any better? You have a fiancée and you're still hanging around me!"

Lily's heart was aching terribly. Gripping the knife, she charged at Chris.

Chris hadn't planned to run at first, but seeing that Lily was really going to attack him, he fled toward the door in a panic.

The door slammed shut. Lily curled her lip and put the knife back.

She had completely lost her appetite now. She collapsed on the sofa, her eyes empty.

She must be sick too. She was the one who brought up breaking up with Ryan, yet when she heard someone knocking on the door, she was actually hoping it was Ryan coming to find her.

And she even went to put on makeup and change her clothes.

Lily covered her face and sighed.

What was she even doing!

Half an hour later, someone knocked on the door again.

Lily jumped up, ran to the kitchen to grab the knife, and yanked the door open aggressively!

The delivery person was startled by the knife in her hand and stammered, "H-hello, I... I'm here to deliver food."

Lily glanced at it—clearly what Chris had ordered earlier.

"Take it away."

Lily dropped that line and slammed the door shut.

When leaving the Old Mansion, Jason lifted Jessica out of the car.

"You're sleeping at great-grandma's tonight."

Everyone's eyes on us carried a knowing look.

My face turned red. I didn't dare say much, quickly said goodbye and hurried into the car.

Not letting the child come home—any adult would know what he wanted to do!

Jason didn't seem to think there was any problem with it, smiling as he parted with everyone.

After he got in the car, I glared at him irritably, "This is all your fault! I can't face anyone now!"

Jason smiled, his expression gentle.

He pinched my cheek, "It's okay, everyone will understand."

Understanding is one thing, but I don't have skin as thick as Jason's!

We got home at just eight-thirty.

Usually I wouldn't get ready for bed until eleven, but today Jason carried me straight to the bedroom as soon as we got home.

Knowing what he wanted to do, my heart was racing.

We'd fucked many times before, but I still had quite a bit of anticipation for my wedding night.

Jason was obviously eager. While showering, he already fooled around in the bathroom.

Later the action moved to the bed.

We fucked until midnight, then Jason carried me to the bathroom to clean up.

After everything was done, I lay lazily on the bed while Jason sat beside me, gently blow-drying my hair.

I turned my head to look at him.

Under the soft light, his features were handsome and his eyes were like a painting, impossibly gentle.

Sweet happiness filled my chest.

I couldn't help but smile.

Having formed a family with such a handsome man, I really hope we can stay happy forever.

"Jason."

I called him involuntarily.

Jason looked down, "Call me husband."

I'm still not quite used to this form of address.

But now that we're married, getting used to it is just a matter of time.

I paused, then changed how I addressed him.

"Husband, you didn't use a condom earlier?"

Jason's hand paused.

I just smiled, my voice full of teasing.

"Don't you want a daughter? Starting from now?"

Jason's expression clearly froze. He obviously thought of the TV drama I mentioned about having six children in a row.

Seeing his reaction, I was thoroughly amused.

"I didn't expect this would scare you?"

Jason nodded with lingering fear, "Six sons, just thinking about it is annoying."

I laughed, "No choice. If you want a daughter, you have to take the risk. After all, having a boy or girl is a matter of probability."

Jason looked at me and said hesitantly, "Should we try again then?"

I rolled over, casually took the hairdryer from his hand and tossed it aside, then moved closer on my own initiative.

"Sure."

Jason's eyes became dangerous. Just as he was about to lean down and kiss me, my phone suddenly rang.

The originally intimate and heated atmosphere instantly froze.

We both paused.

Jason's face darkened, "Who's so clueless to call at this time? Don't they know it's our wedding night?"

Thinking that not many people usually call me, and worried that Lily might have something urgent, I crawled out of his arms and went to the nightstand to get my phone.

The call was from an unknown number.
