Chapter 176
I pressed my lips together in a smile and said nothing.
But if I really stayed quiet, a certain someone would be unhappy again.
Once in the car, I helped Kelly settle into the back seat before taking the passenger seat myself.
Jason leaned over to fasten my seatbelt and took the chance to kiss me again.
Before I could say anything, a voice suddenly came from behind, "Could you two please restrain yourselves? There's another living person back here."
Jason ignored her and tried to continue kissing me.
I covered my mouth with my hand and shot Jason a warning glare.
Only then did Jason lick his lips and reluctantly sit back in his seat.
While fastening his seatbelt, he said slowly, "Didn't you say you liked watching us being affectionate? You don't like this kind of scene?"
Kelly said nothing, just turned to stare out the window blankly.
Seeing her soul seemed to still be at the concert, I gently urged Jason to start driving.
When we dropped Kelly off, Lucy was waiting at the door.
Seeing Kelly get out, she immediately went forward to support her.
She looked at me gratefully, "Thank you for taking care of her today. Would you like to come in for coffee?"
I smiled and waved my hand, "It's a bit late today, so maybe next time. I'll definitely visit another day."
Lucy didn't insist. She nodded and looked at Jason, reminding him, "Drive safely on your way home tonight."
Jason nodded, "Got it."
Watching Lucy pull the dazed Kelly back into the villa, Jason and I headed home too.
Back home.
I took a shower and took out the skincare products Lucy gave me to apply.
They smelled nice and were very moisturizing.
Just the way I liked it.
After getting ready, my gaze fell on the balcony.
Jason was standing there on the phone.
He had a great body—broad shoulders, narrow waist. Even with his back to me, he had an undeniable charm.
I blinked and tiptoed behind him, wrapping my arms around his waist.
Jason was still talking to someone on the phone. He looked down at me in surprise.
I stood on my toes, hooked my arms around his neck, and kissed him lightly on the lips.
Jason's eyes instantly deepened.
He quickly said a few words to the person on the phone and hung up directly.
Tossing his phone onto the bed, he gripped my waist with both hands, his voice low and husky, "Are you seducing me?"
I looked at him with a smile, "My period's over."
As soon as the words left my mouth, I felt the world spin.
When I came to my senses, Jason had already placed me on the bed.
Jason's eyes were burning hot as he stared at me intently.
I turned my head away, a bit embarrassed to avoid his gaze.
"After all this time, you're still shy?"
I heard Jason's attractive laugh, voice lowered, by my ear.
He pressed me down and kissed me hard for a while, then got up, "Wait for me."
He got off the bed and rushed into the bathroom to shower.
His whole demeanor showed how eager he was.
I couldn't help but laugh quietly.
I don't know if it was because the bed was too soft or because the concert had drained too much energy, but I fell asleep shortly after lying down.
When I woke up again, it was already the next day.
Looking at Jason's peaceful sleeping face beside me, I felt a bit annoyed.
My period had finally ended, we hadn't had any deep communication in so long, and I'd fallen asleep right after lying down!
Without even thinking, I knew Jason must have been so frustrated last night.
Seeing Jason still asleep, I moved carefully, about to get out of bed when suddenly my waist tightened and Jason pulled me back into his arms.
"Sue."
His voice carried the low huskiness of just waking up, kisses falling bit by bit on my neck.
I shrank back sensitively, my voice trembling uncontrollably, "Don't... don't."
Jason turned me over and lowered his head to kiss my lips.
I turned my head away, "Don't, I haven't brushed my teeth yet..."
Jason kissed me anyway, his voice muffled between our tangled lips and tongues, "It's fine, I haven't either."
We'd clearly gotten up quite early.
But when I woke up and got out of bed again, it was almost noon.
"How can we be fooling around in broad daylight?"
I couldn't help but mutter.
When I came downstairs supporting my aching waist, Jessica was playing with toys in the living room.
Seeing me come down, her eyes immediately lit up and she came over.
"Mommy, why did you wake up so late? Are you not feeling well?"
It's all because of your wolf-like father.
I complained silently in my heart, but obviously couldn't tell the child that.
So I went along with Jessica's words, "A little bit, probably tired from going to the concert last night."
Fortunately, Jessica was young and easily believed this reason.
She looked at me with concern and said seriously, "Then Mommy, you should rest well and get better soon!"
"Okay, thank you for caring, sweetie."
I squatted down and kissed Jessica's cheek, feeling soft inside.
Looking around and not finding Jason, I couldn't help but ask, "Where's your daddy?"
"Daddy..."
A look of complexity flashed in Jessica's eyes, and she said hesitantly, "Daddy's in the kitchen, said he wants to make chicken soup for Mommy."
Though she said this, Jessica's expression looked like she was facing a great enemy.
Thinking of Jason's slightly anti-human cooking skills, I wasn't surprised by her reaction.
Walking into the kitchen, I looked up to see Jason battling with a chicken on the cutting board.
The chicken was chopped into pieces all over the place, with quite a bit of meat splattered on the walls.
I sighed silently in my heart.
Jason's talent really wasn't in this area.
"Let me do it."
I spoke up.
Jason turned his head to look, his handsome brows slightly furrowed.
He pressed his lips together and stared at me silently for a while, then finally nodded and gave up the chef's position.
I efficiently cut the chicken into pieces and put them in the pot.
Jason didn't stay idle either. He took out breakfast from the side—he'd been keeping it warm, and it was just right to eat now.
After putting the chicken in the pot, I went to the dining table with Jason and sat down to eat breakfast.
Jason lowered his head to peel an egg for me while saying softly, "Have some chicken soup later."
When Tamsin came in, she just happened to see Jason feeding me the egg.
Seeing this scene, she smiled from ear to ear.
"Good, good, good. At this rate, it won't be long before I can hold a great-grandchild."
I paused silently, then stood up, "Grandma."
Tamsin waved her hand, "You eat, don't mind me. I'm just passing by to take a look."
"Today I'm busy supervising George! He has a blind date nearby today, and I need to watch him to make sure he doesn't mess around!"
After saying this, Tamsin left in a hurry again.
I opened my mouth, then finally shook my head.
"Uncle George is pretty pitiful too, being forced to go on blind dates at his age."
Jason raised an eyebrow, "Can't be helped. Not everyone is like me, able to meet their true love early on."
Sunday morning.
Following my usual habit, I took Jessica to the library.
After spending two or three hours at the library, we'd just come out when we ran into an uninvited guest.
Tyler got out of his car and strode toward us.
He looked at me first, then at Jessica, and without a word, reached his hand directly toward Jessica.
