Chapter 57 Marksmanship
By Valeria
She turned around and sat on the bed with a huge smile.
"I see this was faster than I expected."
That woman said, and I swear I felt buried.
"Karina?"
"How's it going, cousin?"
"What are you doing here?"
Alejandro, who was entering the bathroom, retraced his steps.
He looked at both of us.
"Ask your boyfriend. You must be terrible in bed. This is the second one who, after being with you, comes looking for me."
I must say that if I was trembling before and felt like dying when I saw her, at this moment she humiliated me with pleasure and her harsh, degrading words deeply hurt my already low self-esteem.
"Vale, I didn't..."
"Relax, Ale. My cousin must be right. By now, she's a professional."
"Don't you dare humiliate me. I'm in his bed, and you're not. You caught him with me, and this time you found him in action, not like that idiot Diego, who you believed every lie he told you. You were so in love, hahaha."
"I'm asking you to leave."
"I'm not going anywhere. We planned to spend the whole day together."
That's a lie. Ale would never spend a day with a woman, and since I manage his schedule, I know he has two important meetings.
"Really?"
"Alejandro, take advantage and get rid of her, like you told me last night."
"Vale, I didn't say anything. I swear, I didn't know who she was. Vale... get her out like always."
"Okay, you're a fucking liar. Get out of here."
"Do you still believe in men? You're a fool, poor thing. You're so in love with another idiot who also prefers me."
"Vale, I swear I didn't... call security."
"No need, I'm leaving."
It can't be that she's leaving easily, without trying to cause more trouble. I know her very well; she must have something to hide.
"You know what? You're right, I'm not calling security."
I turned and walked towards Alejandro, who was still near the bathroom door.
"Did you pay her or did you screw her for free?"
I asked with anger and disgust.
"Vale, forgive me, I... I wasn't even good with her."
"That's another matter, my dear... boss. As for you, it's true, you're not leaving here."
"Valeria, let her go. I have two meetings."
"I'm going to save your ass, and you'll owe me big time."
I approached as she began to dress and took her purse.
"Give it to me! It's my purse, don't touch it."
I dumped it in the middle of the bed and found what I was looking for, her cellphone.
I grabbed it quickly, and she lunged at me, pulling my hair.
Alejandro pulled her off me.
"Don't touch Valeria, you fucking bitch."
"Let me go, you're not the big man, you didn't even satisfy me in bed. It was all fake."
"So was mine. I only finished by thinking of Valeria."
"You're a fucking loser."
While they argued, I checked my cousin's phone. I knew her password.
She had recorded part of the sexual act.
Damn, I would never forget this.
"She filmed you while you were having sex."
I said, and Alejandro's horrified face almost made me enjoy the hatred I felt.
"Get dressed, you fucking bitch."
He said.
"It's my phone. I'll report you."
Alejandro laughed with disgust.
"First, I'll disable all your social media accounts, then I'll accuse you of drugging me and coercing me with intent to defraud."
"Are you a lawyer?"
"Yes, and you're a bitch who doesn't know who you're messing with. You could disappear, and no one would find your remains."
"My cousin is a witness."
Alejandro laughed.
"I didn't see anything. Don't drag me into your life anymore."
"I had an abortion because of you."
"You had an abortion because you're a bitch."
I said while looking at the images on the phone.
"Vale... don't watch what she recorded."
I looked at him with hatred. I'm going to watch it. After this, I'll never be with him again.
Alejandro's face showed a terror I had never seen before.
He was always a man who took charge of any situation, even with a few drinks, he was dominant.
The video showed little because as they moved, you couldn't see them. Only those damn sounds that hurt my heart and pride could be heard.
Although I must say that Alejandro was barely audible, and he didn't seem that... passionate. I know very well how he is.
I fast-forwarded it. It took him about 45 minutes to get going again, and clearly, my cousin did a thousand things to make him react.
It took him about fifteen minutes to finish. She said all kinds of obscenities, and suddenly you could hear Alejandro saying,
"Yes, Vale."
"I told him my name was Valeria."
"No, Vale, he didn't say that. I have... the conversation recorded in my car. He told me the name, and I don't even remember what it's called."
Karina looked at us with hatred.
"Well, I told him my name."
"We're keeping your phone, don't file a report, because you'll end up in jail, just like the jerk who made you get an abortion."
"Is Diego in jail?" she asked, horrified.
"They're going to learn not to mess with me, much less with Valeria, who has my full support. They messed with the wrong people. Valeria, which guard did you come with? It doesn't matter, tell whoever is here to come up and kick her out."
"Should I change the sheets?"
"Yes, and then call the furniture store. I want to change my bed today."
"You're both bastards. You fell for a few looks and you’re still a fool who doesn't matter to anyone."
"Valeria, you mean more to me than anything in the world. I didn't fall for it, I just... she looked like you. Ask Gonzalo, I swear that's why."
I wanted to cry, to beat my cousin until she passed out and hit Alejandro until he hurt as much as my heart did.
I sighed and, with a disdainful smile, called Juan while looking at my cousin.
He arrived instantly.
"This time she was more accurate than usual. Make sure my cousin isn't within ten blocks of here, my apartment, or the company. Orders from the boss."
"Your boyfriend didn't say anything."
I smiled superiorly.
"Of course," Juan replied.
"He didn't say anything."
"My bosses are both of you. The lady orders and I comply."
My cousin didn't expect that response, but she left, cursing me.
I went back to Alejandro's room. I hadn't changed the sheets or gotten his clothes.
Everything is so difficult!
The protection I had yesterday ended so quickly.
Now it's all discouragement, hate, humiliation, pain.
It felt like I was watching a movie. I was amazed I wasn't crying.
I didn't even want to cry; I was shaking, that much I knew.
But I felt like I was beyond everything.
When I got to his room, Ale had already come out of the bathroom and grabbed his underwear on his own. He didn't want to bother me with anything.
I changed the sheets in silence.
Gently.
He looked for a shirt, and I handed him a suit and a tie.
Silence reigned between us.
I put on his tie and tied the knot.
"It's late, let's have breakfast at the office," I said indifferently.
Alejandro was quiet and even seemed to be trembling.
Without speaking, each with our own laptop, we got into the car.
I told him the schedule for two meetings and talked on the phone with one of the directors in France.
Ale didn't speak at all, cutting off both calls that came to his phone.
The second call was from Francisco. Since Alejandro didn't answer, he called me.
I answered warmly, as always, and told him that Ale would call him as soon as he was free.
We arrived at the office, and I ordered breakfast for both of us. I took one to his office and went back to mine.
I couldn't even take a sip of coffee.
I tried to eat a few bites, knowing I had long days ahead without wanting to eat, without wanting to live...
An hour later, I went to his office to remind him to call his father.
I found him crying.
He hadn't touched his breakfast.
"I love you," he said suddenly.
I smiled to keep from crying.
"If you had told me that yesterday, I would have been the happiest woman in the world."
"I swear I love you."
"I'm sorry, don't forget to call your dad."
"I love you, Valeria, I love you."
I left his office.
It was all over, even though we had nothing.
He did it with my cousin.
I thought the worst thing that would happen that day was kicking the bitch out of his bed, and she really was a bitch.
I'm sure she sought him out on purpose.
I searched the internet, checked all the sites, and although it was hard to find, a journalist talked about the trendy restaurant where the most sought-after singles of the moment went. Aside from tasting the best delicacies, at least that's what the article said, there were live shows. These were so... real that to enter the place you had to be over 22, and because of the prices, the regulars were millionaires, many of whom were the most sought-after...
And there they detailed a list of 20 businessmen who are the same ones in Forbes magazine, for their millions and their personalities.
I suppose that idiot journalist will face several lawsuits and will have a hard time working again.
They can't publish where businessmen of that level go; it's dangerous. They could be kidnapped or killed, who knows.
In Alejandro's case, it harmed him because Karina sought him out directly there.
Anyway, it's no longer my problem.
