Chapter 408 They Are Both a Disgrace
"Seraphina, are you mad at me?" Stefan, who was driving, asked in a low and dejected voice.
At this moment, Seraphina's feelings were a bit complicated.
Jane was targeting Stefan because of their family. Seraphina tried her best to stay rational and not get angry, but she was still holding it in.
"From now on, try to avoid physical contact with other women. Men need to protect themselves too," Seraphina rolled her eyes. "Our family has issues with Jane's family, so you need to be careful."
Stefan nodded. "Okay, I won't have physical contact with other women from now on."
Seraphina still looked at him with some concern. "You need to understand that sometimes when things happen, it's too late for regrets. You need to learn to protect yourself better, not just for me, but for our future."
She felt so worried.
Stefan couldn't help but laugh. "Okay, I'll protect myself."
A cold glint flashed in his eyes. Grace and Jane—he would teach them a lesson.
Tommy had stayed up all night partying with his friends and went straight to rest in a room at the club.
Usually, when he rested in the room after an all-nighter, no one dared to knock on his door and bother him.
Today, not long after he'd fallen asleep, someone came knocking.
Tommy walked to the door irritably. He yanked it open, his tone clearly angry. "Fuck you, who's knocking at a time like this?"
Outside stood the club manager and several men in black suits.
The manager looked a bit nervous. "Mr. Robinson, sorry to disturb you, but they're looking for you."
"Who are you people?" Tommy looked at them impatiently.
A burly man said calmly, "Mr. Robinson, our boss wants to see you. Please come with us."
Tommy frowned. He realized these people meant business. "Who's your boss? We can talk after I wake up."
He was about to close the door, but the man who had just spoken blocked it.
"Our boss is from the Robinson family."
Tommy's eyes widened instantly. He thought of Timothy.
Tommy pressed his lips together, went back into the room to grab a jacket, put it on, and followed the men out of the club.
The men led Tommy to a low-key black business van.
Also invited into the car was Jane.
Jane didn't want to go, but was forcibly pushed into the vehicle.
She seemed somewhat uneasy in the car, with a trace of panic in her eyes.
Her hands gripped her bag tightly, her mind churning with all kinds of anxious speculations.
Why did Timothy suddenly want to see her?
Could it be that Timothy found out about her scheme against Stefan?
The car drove for a while and finally stopped in front of a secluded private residence.
The car door opened, and the men got out one by one. After Jane got out, she saw Tommy standing at the entrance.
Jane and Tommy looked at each other with uneasy expressions.
The bodyguard opened the door, signaling Tommy and Jane to follow them into the residence.
Jane's heart raced, feeling even more anxious, but she had no choice but to follow reluctantly.
Tommy's heart was also in turmoil, his legs trembling slightly as he walked.
They were led into the living room.
The living room was simply decorated.
Timothy walked into the living room after hanging up the phone.
Timothy had a calm demeanor and a stern face. Tommy and Jane immediately recognized Timothy.
Timothy glanced at Tommy and Jane, then sat down on the sofa.
Timothy's gaze was sharp and oppressive. "Do you know why I called you here?"
Tommy and Jane both shook their heads.
They didn't know.
They felt scared.
"You two are grown up now, and when you're grown up, you need to take responsibility for what you do. Some things, some people—you can't mess with them, can't provoke them."
Timothy's gaze fell on Jane's face, his eyes cold. "Especially you. If you don't like your carefree life now, I can send you somewhere else."
Meeting Timothy's cold gaze, Jane nervously pressed her lips together, then glared at Timothy defiantly. "We're your children too! Why are you so cruel to us!"
Tommy pulled at Jane, telling her not to get too worked up.
Jane shook off Tommy's hand and stared at Timothy resentfully.
Timothy's expression was indifferent. "Are you two idiots? I've stated publicly more than once that you're not my children."
Timothy's voice was calm and emotionless, as if stating the most ordinary fact.
Jane gripped her bag tightly, her voice angry. "You just don't want to admit it!"
Timothy looked at Jane's resentful expression, his cold face showing no emotion.
"By blood, you're my sister Annie's children. Emma was basically a surrogate. You were never Timothy's children."
Timothy's tone was calm, but the content of his words was chilling.
Timothy pushed a file on the table toward them. "You two look at this document. Now that you're grown up and can read, you won't need me to explain after you've seen it."
Hearing Timothy's words, Tommy and Jane's faces instantly turned horrified.
They looked hesitantly at the file Timothy pushed over, filled with doubt and unease.
Jane bit her lip and finally reached out to pick up the file.
She flipped through it page by page.
As her eyes scanned the contents, her face gradually turned ugly, as if she'd been doused with a bucket of cold water from head to toe.
The document clearly stated the reason she and Tommy were born, and that Emma was just a surrogate mother—their real biological parents were someone else.
Tommy also leaned over to look at the document. When he saw the contents, his hands involuntarily clenched into fists, his knuckles turning white.
He couldn't believe what was written in the document was true.
Every sentence was like a nail piercing his heart.
Their origins were so shameful.
"This... how is this possible?" Jane's voice trembled, barely able to believe it all.
Timothy looked at them coldly. "You should have seen this information long ago, but you were too young back then. Emma was just a surrogate. Who your real father is—I think you understand now."
Jane's eyes were already brimming with tears. She had always thought she and Tommy were Timothy's biological children, that Elizabeth had broken up their family.
Tommy wasn't as emotionally out of control as Jane, but he also felt incredibly lost.
Timothy's eyes were cold. "Your biological father Erik was nothing but a despicable person who stole things from my sister Annie. The reason I can't stand you two is because you're my sister Annie's shame."
"Don't keep pushing my limits. Look carefully at this document and recognize your true identity."
Jane could no longer control her emotions. The document slipped from her hands.
Her whole body trembled like a leaf in the wind, her inner world seemingly collapsing in an instant.
Tommy and Jane were a disgrace.
Jane clenched her fists tightly, unable to suppress her inner rage. "You're lying! This document is fake! You're deliberately trying to trick us! I won't fall for it!"
