Chapter 368 The Egg is Broken
Demetrius walked into the chairman's office at Seraphina Enterprises and calmly apologized, "Sorry, I'm ten minutes late."
Robbie stood up, and Seraphina stood up too.
Robbie smiled, "Mr. Kramer, please have a seat."
They had been discussing other collaborations recently and were somewhat familiar with each other, but business was business - today's negotiation was a different matter.
Jacob brought in coffee for everyone.
"Regarding the distribution rights for Thalassia pharmaceuticals, Seraphina will be handling the discussion with you today. She's the next successor of Seraphina Enterprises," Robbie formally introduced.
Demetrius was a bit surprised, though he didn't show it on his face, his eyes remaining cold. "I didn't expect your company to be interested in this area."
Seraphina smiled lightly in response, "Mr. Kramer, Seraphina Enterprises has been committed to healthcare development for over a decade. The pharmaceutical market is an important strategic direction for us. Partnering with your company to develop this market together would be a win-win situation."
Originally, Seraphina Enterprises' main business was online shopping, logistics, and cloud development.
But because Seraphina had to constantly undergo cosmetic procedures and medical treatments since childhood, Elizabeth had also invested in healthcare domestically.
Demetrius said flatly, "In that case, let's hear your proposal first."
Seraphina handed a proposal to Demetrius, meeting his cold gaze directly. "Whether it's market promotion, sales channels, or after-sales service, Seraphina Enterprises has advantages in all these areas."
"Our sales channels can cover all major markets in Thalassia, plus Seraphina Enterprises has strong logistics capabilities that can ensure timely supply and delivery of pharmaceuticals."
Demetrius actually already understood Seraphina Enterprises' capabilities. The main issue now was negotiating price and profit.
After Seraphina covered the basics, she knew the most important part was profit negotiation. "Profit split: seventy-thirty, with Seraphina Enterprises taking seventy and the Kramer Group taking thirty."
Demetrius leaned back relaxed against the sofa. "Ms. Penrose, not long ago, Mr. Johnson from the Robinson Group also approached me about distribution rights. The Robinson Group only wanted one layer of profit, while you're asking for seven layers."
Seraphina suddenly understood - she hadn't expected the Robinson Group to also want to develop in this direction.
Robbie sat to the side, not participating at all. He wanted to see how Seraphina would handle this next - whether she'd give up profit to the other party or stick to the original profit distribution plan.
Seraphina smiled, her smile looking very good-natured. She said, "I'll say it again: seventy-thirty split, with Seraphina Enterprises taking seventy percent of the profit."
Demetrius stated the facts coldly, "In that case, for the pharmaceutical distribution rights, I might consider the Robinson Group instead of Seraphina Enterprises."
Seraphina's expression didn't change. "That would be unfortunate."
The negotiation couldn't continue.
Demetrius stood up and said goodbye to Robbie.
After the imposing Demetrius left, Seraphina's straight-backed posture deflated. "Mr. Ellis, I'm done for. My first negotiation, and I blew it."
Robbie smiled calmly. He poured tea for Seraphina. "You insisted on not giving up profit - you have your reasons. Can you share them?"
Seraphina nodded. She told Robbie her thoughts, and they talked for about an hour.
When they finished, Seraphina brought up the Robinson Group. "The Robinson Group is actually planning to develop pharmaceutical business too. That's quite a leap."
Robbie nodded. "Their company is on the decline. They should be looking for new business opportunities now, but Sloane's decision does show courage."
The Robinson Group wasn't easy to manage right now.
Seraphina smiled faintly.
At noon, Stefan called Seraphina. "Dione, should we have lunch together?"
The two companies weren't far apart, so having lunch together was doable time-wise.
Seraphina agreed.
But before going to lunch, she called Timothy first.
When Timothy received Seraphina's call, his eyes lit up with a smile. "Seraphina, I'm fine."
Hearing this, Seraphina felt relieved enough to go eat.
Not only did Seraphina think of Timothy, even Brandon at kindergarten thought of Timothy during lunch.
Brandon's lunch today included a chicken leg and an egg - very nutritious.
When the teacher wasn't looking, his little hands skillfully put the egg into his backpack.
He'd take the egg home for Timothy to eat!
Very few people got to receive food from Brandon.
Now Timothy had this honor.
Brandon was smart. He knew Timothy was sick, so he should save good food for Timothy.
After the children finished lunch, it was time to brush teeth and take a nap. During the tooth-brushing time, Matilda stared at Brandon's bald head and asked the question she'd been holding in for a long time. "Brandon, where's your hair?"
Brandon raised his hand to touch his smooth head. "Shaved it off."
He looked at Matilda's long hair braided into pigtails and pitched the idea. "Do you want to shave your head too? My mommy and my sister really like me this way, and even Mr. Robinson at my house likes it."
Matilda's eyes instantly widened. She opened her red lips slightly. "Mommy would like it?"
Her mommy didn't like her.
Was it because she had hair?
She decided to go home and tell her dad Dashiell Blackwell she wanted to shave her hair!
Brandon shared hairstyle tips with Matilda, then quickly brushed his teeth and went to sleep.
When Brandon got out of school in the afternoon, Seraphina declined Stefan's invitation to have dinner together. She left work early to pick Brandon up and go home.
Timothy and Elizabeth were just about to kiss when they heard Brandon come home calling out to them.
"How is school out so early?" Timothy looked at the clock on the wall.
Many parents of young children have this thought: How is the kid out of school so fast?
Elizabeth looked amusedly at Timothy regretting not being faster earlier. She lowered her voice gently. "I'll make it up to you tonight."
Though they couldn't really do much at night - at most just kissing.
Seraphina and Brandon greeted both Timothy and Elizabeth when they got home.
Elizabeth told them to wash their hands and change clothes first.
Seraphina went upstairs to change into home clothes, then quickly came downstairs to talk to Elizabeth about the unsuccessful negotiation with Demetrius today, and also mentioned that the Robinson Group had also approached Demetrius.
Elizabeth and Seraphina were discussing business, while Timothy sat nearby listening to their discussion.
Brandon came down in a tank top and shorts, immediately bent over to dig through his backpack.
He stared dumbfounded at the flattened egg in his backpack.
The egg, the egg, his egg.
"Daddy, the egg broke!"
"The egg broke!"
"Daddy, your egg broke!"
Brandon cried like his heart was breaking.
The three adults immediately turned to look at Brandon.
Brandon's two chubby little hands were still holding the broken egg, bawling his eyes out.
