Chapter 218 Do You Also Like Sending Stones?
"Park at the Global Mall up ahead."
Elizabeth planned to buy a men's watch as a gift for Timothy.
To keep a low profile, she wore a hat and a face mask.
Robbie got out of the car, opened the door, and the two of them walked into the mall.
There weren't many people shopping at the mall today.
Once inside, Elizabeth and Robbie headed straight for the watch counter.
While Elizabeth was selecting a watch, she overheard a conversation between customers also buying watches at the next counter.
"Vivienne, what do you think of this watch?" Maeve Harrington asked Vivienne Mae beside her.
"Mom, your taste is naturally good. Freya will definitely love it," Vivienne said with a smile.
Sometimes Vivienne couldn't help but marvel at how lucky Freya was in this life. Even after getting married, she lived well. After more than twenty years of marriage, the Stewart family still cherished her.
The only unfortunate thing for Freya was that her only daughter had gone missing.
"Wrap up this watch," Maeve had just come from Majestic City to Border Ridge City today and made a special detour to the mall to buy gifts. She thought of Freya's goddaughter, Emma, whom her daughter had mentioned. "Should we also buy a gift for Freya's goddaughter?"
"Mom, are you talking about Ms. Sutter? We could buy a matching watch. What do you think?" Vivienne suggested.
Maeve nodded in agreement. "Good idea, let's do that."
The sales clerk respectfully went to get the matching women's watch.
At the next counter, Elizabeth raised her eyebrows. These two sounded like Freya's relatives.
Elizabeth pulled down her mask, unscrewed a bottle of water, took a sip, then put her mask back on. She said to Robbie, "Let's try another store."
Elizabeth didn't like the styles of men's watches at this store.
Maeve looked at Elizabeth with some surprise. Maeve was getting old and her mind wasn't as sharp. By the time she remembered who Elizabeth resembled, the person had already left.
Elizabeth and Robbie had already walked out of the watch store. After Maeve remembered, she quickly followed them out.
"Mom, wait, where are you going?" Vivienne tried to follow, but the clerk who had gone to get the watch had just come out, and they hadn't settled their bill yet, so she couldn't leave.
Maeve walked out of the watch store and looked around, but Elizabeth was already out of sight.
Elizabeth looked so much like Freya's great-grandmother Audrey Carroll when she was young. She hadn't expected to see someone who looked so similar.
How remarkable.
Maeve walked back to the watch store, still looking surprised.
Seeing Maeve return, Vivienne breathed a sigh of relief and asked curiously, "Mom, what happened?"
Maeve smiled, with a hint of wonder in her voice. "I just saw a woman who looks like your great-grandmother. Really didn't expect that."
Vivienne raised her eyebrows in surprise. "She looks a lot like great-grandmother? Now that you mention it, I'm curious what that woman looks like."
Vivienne didn't know what Audrey looked like, since she had never met her.
Maeve nodded, a flash of nostalgia in her eyes. "Back then, your great-grandmother was a very wise woman. I didn't expect to see someone who looks so similar now."
"Vivienne, you haven't seen the photos. Freya has one in her album. When Freya married into the Nightingale family, I specially made an album with photos of Freya from childhood to adulthood, as well as photos of the Stewart family elders."
Vivienne smiled and said, "Then I'll have to take a look when we get to Freya's place."
While they were talking, the clerk had already wrapped up the two women's watches.
Vivienne swiped her card, and arm in arm with Maeve, they left the watch store.
The Nightingale Mansion.
Seeing Maeve and the others, Freya walked over with delight. "Mom, Vivienne, what brings you here?"
Maeve smiled. "We came to see you."
Maeve had a prosperous appearance and looked kind and benevolent.
On the other side.
Elizabeth bought a watch she was satisfied with at another watch store and left the mall to go home.
As soon as she got home, Seraphina saw her and ran over. She stopped, hugged her legs, and said sweetly, "Mommy, I missed you so much. Mommy, you worked hard."
Elizabeth's heart warmed. She bent down to pick up Seraphina and said with a smile, "Seraphina, I'm not tired. As long as I come home and see Seraphina, I'm full of energy."
Elizabeth deliberately raised one arm and struck a strongman pose.
Seraphina covered her mouth and giggled.
Timothy walked over and took Seraphina from her. "You're home unusually early today."
Elizabeth smiled. "Today is Seraphina's first day at kindergarten, so naturally I had to come home to have dinner with you both."
Timothy put Seraphina down to let her play by herself, and he and Elizabeth went upstairs.
As soon as the bedroom door closed, Elizabeth asked Timothy to close his eyes. "Mr. Robinson, please cooperate and close your eyes."
She was being mysterious.
Timothy raised his eyebrows and obediently closed his eyes.
"Don't open them," Elizabeth quickly took out the watch box from the bag, opened it, and took out the watch.
She touched Timothy's wrist and carefully put the watch on him.
The watch looked perfect on Timothy's wrist. Elizabeth nodded with satisfaction and said softly, "Okay, you can open your eyes now."
Timothy opened his eyes and looked down at the watch on his wrist.
Timothy was very happy to receive the gift.
But he kept his expression composed and asked, "A gift for me?"
"Yes," Elizabeth said with a bright smile, her hands on his shoulders. "Do you like it?"
Timothy looked at the watch again, his lips curving slightly upward, and said in a low voice, "I like it very much. I love any gift you give me."
"Even if I gave you a rock?" Elizabeth asked with raised eyebrows.
