Chapter 7

I wake in a dark room my head throbbing in fact my whole body throbbing. Last night's event seemed to have slipped my mind but as soon as I sit up I remember everything. I look around the room to see I’m in the guest room; a shiver racks my body. Placing my hands across my chest I realised why I'm so cold, I'm naked. The next thought that came into my head scared me. Looking at both sides of me I sigh in relief and get out of bed. He isn't in here. I pick up my clothes and walk off into my own room.

My legs hurt so much it’s indescribable in fact the truth was it weren't my legs that were hurting it was between my legs that hurt. I shut my bedroom door behind me and lock it. Then I look towards the digital clock and staring back at me in red digital is 5:00. I sigh and walk off into the bathroom to get a shower , dropping my clothes on the floor.

45 Minutes Later

Walking out of the longest shower I've ever had I start to take out some clothes. I pull on some tracksuit bottoms and a top then I start on my makeup.

Looking in the mirror I could nearly see myself start to cry but I hold the tears in. I’m not going to cry over what happened last night that is what that monster wants and I'm not going to give him what he wants.

Instead I start putting my makeup on and keep my hair down to hide some of the marks I couldn't cover due to they were just too dark. I pick up my thinks and creep out of my room and as I get to the top of the stairs I notice my phone on the floor. I look at it a little confused as to why it’s there. Then

I look at the wall to see it dinted slightly well a crack sort of then I remember I had literally come face to face with the wall. I pick up my phone and snuck out the house.

I look at my watch to see it is nearly 20 past six. I sigh as it's ages before school starts. I could just walk into the city and go to a coffee shop for an hour and then walk to school very slowly and hopefully I would get there for eight. So that's what I do. I walk to the city centre to a cash point I take $20 out and then to starbucks and have breakfast which consisted of four coffees and a biscuit.

I pick up my bag and lay the magazine I was reading down on the table and then I put all my rubbish in the bin. I walk up to the counter to order another

coffee.

This time I decide to treat myself and ordered cafe mocha with cream. I don't always get cream. I walk to the counter where I have to wait for my coffee.

Once my coffee is ready I turn and nearly bumped into someone."Urm sorry" I say not looking up to see who it is. The person is obviously a man and taller than me.

"Megan?" I hear the man question in very familiar English accent. I look up to see it was my Art/English teacher.

"Urm hey..." I've forgotten his name. I am so stupid he only told me yesterday. How could I not remember his name so I opt for the easy thing to say "Sir" I say with a small smile. He smileS slightly.

"You don't have to call me that outside school you know?" he asks still smiling at me.

"I...I know" I stutter out. He leans forward which causes me to step back until I hit the counter that I had to get my coffee off of. He reaches his hand out and fear strikes through me.

"Are you ok?" he asks as his hand rests behind me. His hand pulls away from the counter with a cup. He takes a sip of what I figure to be coffee while giving me a worried look.

"Urm yeah" I start to walk away "I should go, school and everything" I state as I walk out of the coffee shop not realising he is behind me. I stop suddenly causing someone to bump into me and step on my heel. I let out a whimper that someone would only hear if they were close enough to me.

"Sorry" I hear the English accent say. I turn to look at him and look down at my feet. It wasn't hurting as much but it hurt "Are you ok?" He looks at my feet intently as if they were going to tell him if I’m ok or not.

"I'm fine" I say a little harshly. I’m a little pissed to be truthful. Is this guy following me or something. I don't realise I’m frowning until he looks at me.

"Sorry if I've upset you" he says looking down a little. What the hell? He’s my teacher and yet he’s talking to me as if I'm older than him or something. I have the sudden urge to apologise to him.

"Sorry" I say, "I'm not having a good week I didn't mean to be so harsh. I'm not normally like this," I say quietly.

"I'm not following you, you know" he states "my car is over there" I followed his gaze and sae a black Porsche. I look down a little embarrassed as I did think that.

"I never said you were following me" I state and start to walk again. He stepped into step with me.

"I'll tell you what I'll give you a lift to school" he offered. I shake my head.

"No I'm fine walking but thanks anyway" I say politely.

"Let me take you to school after all I hurt you and well it would be rude of me if I didn't" he states once we get to his car. I can tell he isn't going to stop asking so I nod. He opens the door for me and I get in. I watch him walk around the car.

He gets in the car and sits in the driver's seat. He puts his coffee in the cup holder and starts up the car. I look around the seat I'm sitting in as I feel a little squashed.

"If you want to move the seat back, push the leaver under the seat up and push back" he states. I smiled slightly and do as he says and sut comfortably.

After about five minutes he sighs slightly. I hadn't realised we were in a traffic jam until I look out the window properly. I say properly as I was already looking out the window but not actually looking more thinking.

"Great" he says in an irritated breath, I look at him "I don't like traffic jams" he states.

"No one does" I say with a small sigh and looking through my bag for my phone. I could feel his eyes on me watching every move I made. I pull out my phone and start to text Melanie telling her I'd see her at school as I needed to go in early. I then sigh as I need to phone Tyler and tell him I wasn't meeting him either "do you mind if I phone someone?" I ask him. He shakes his head and look forward.

Scrolling through my contacts I get to Tyler and slowly push the call button. I take a deep breath and put the phone to my ear "don't pick up please don't pick up" I mutter to myself but it seems my teacher heard me.

"Hello" I hear Tyler say. I take my phone from my ear and gather my thoughts.

"Hey it's me" I say

"Why didn't you call me last night?" he demands. I sigh and look more out the window.

"I err..." I was planning on saying I couldn't but then he'd just get the truth into his head when I planned on lying "I can't meet you at eight as I need to be in school early" I say avoiding his question. I hear him sigh deeply.

"Why?" he asks

"I just told you" I snap.

"No, why do you need to be at school early?" he asks "you never go in school early"

"Have you just thought I want to? Have you thought I don't want to put up with you and Melanie arguing and asking stupid questions?" I say angrily. I wasn't even angry at him I was angry about what happened last night but I was taking it out on him and it felt the only good thing to do seen as I had to dump him today.

"What did he do to you?" he asks quietly. I growl angrily. These were the sort of questions I was trying to avoid and now he’s asking me when he knows I don’t want him to. I take the phone from my ear and take a deep breath.

"Nothing"

"That's bullshit" he almost shouts, I sigh and wait "do you..." I take the phone away from my ear waiting for him to finish. I look at the teacher I had forgotten the name of that I suddenly remembered. He gives me a small smile with his eyebrows raised a little. I give him a barely there smile and look him up and down I hadn't realised what he was wearing before but he didn't dress teacherish.

I put the phone back to my ear "why do you think I'm so fucking stupid..." I take the phone from my ear again not wanting to listen to his rant. After about half a minute I put the phone back to my ear to hear silence.

"Are you done?" I ask.

"Yes for fucking now I am" he states

"Good" I pause "I'll see you in school" and then I take the phone from my ear and hang up.

"Do you do that all the time?" Mr Peters asks.

"No, only when we are arguing and I don't like it when he starts shouting at me"

"He shouts at you?" he asks a little surprised. I smirk at that.

"He always says sorry afterwards," I pause and look at him to see him thinking about what I've said. His left arm rests on the window and his index finger across his lips while his other hand is focused on the steering wheel "He'll probably phone me up in a minute or text me telling me he's sorry and then he'll say sorry to me again when I see him today" I pause again. His frowns a little "he always thinks he's in the wrong even when it's me in the wrong" I then turn my attention out the window.

"You don't seem happy with him" he says after a moment of silence "You seem upset by him" he states.

"I'm happy with him" I say in a tone that tells him I'm offended by what he’s saying. He doesn't say anything else the whole of the car ride and neither do I.
