CHAPTER 175

CHAPTER 175
He came and sat bt the bed where mom had been sitting. He hung his head.
"Jaxson what is wrong?" I asked starting to get frightened.
"I'm so sorry Nancy," He said.
"No, I said he can't be," I cried.
"No, there has been no word they are still working on him. This was all my fault." He said.
"Jaxson it was an accident no one knew the vat would rupture." I said.
"You don't understand Nancy it should have been me and not him." Jaxson said not looking at me.
"What do you mean?" I asked with concern for him.
"I could not get the clamp tight, so I asked Tyson to try. As he was doing it I walked over to the foreman and told him to find out who did not turn down the vat last night. Tyson said that should hold. Then what is that noise and the vat ruptured. He was right beside it. I could not see him. I yelled for them to throw the switch for the drain. It went down fast and then I saw Tyson andxm ran to him. Nancy item should have been me." Jaxson said his head down tears flowing freely. I touched his hand to comfort him.
"Jaxson it was an accident, you’re not responsible no knew it was going to rupture.  How are your arms?" I asked.
"They will heal, they look worse then they are" he said. I knew he was lying but said nothing.  Mom came back in with the doctor.
"Jaxson Lisa is looking for you," mom told him. He stood up and left his head down.
"He blames himself for Tyson getting hurt," I told mom.
"Nancy you can go to the quiet room but if you become hysterical again I will sedate you and you will stay in the room. I have papers for you to sign so we can treat Tyson. He told me. He passed me the papers and a pen. I signed them on the hospital bed table. Then looked for my phone again.
"What are you looking for?" Mom asked.
"My phone," I told her.
"Thank you for signing the papers, Tyson is breathing on his own now, but we have much to do." The doctor said. Mom took my phone out of her handbag and passed it to me.
"You dropped it when they sedated you, I picked up and put it in my bag who are you calling." Mom asked.
"Paris." I said.
"Nancy!" Mom said.
"Doctor will you work with them from Paris?" I asked.
"Nancy you just can't call them there are proper channels to go through," the doctor said.
"Nancy they may not be able to help," mom said.
"You're both wrong they are the best hospital in the world they saved me and my pups. They have to have the best burn unit in the world. I'm calling Kristen. Will you work with them?" I asked.
"If they are willing to help of course," the doctor said. I walk out of the room and stopped and hugged dad before I went outside to call. The phone rang and rang then when I was about to give up Kristen answered.
"This better be an emergency!" Kristen yelled into the phone. I started to cry.
"Kristen it is Nancy, there has been an accident," I said through my tears.
"Nancy, what happened," Kristen said concerned. I told her everything that happened.
"We need to do a video call, and we need to be able to see all of his burns. I will wake Leigh up. She will be mad at first we just came off a twenty-four-hour shift. But when she hear what happened she will be on board. Have them set it up and text me the number when they are ready. I will call in our burn specialist. Nancy, we will do what we can but there are no promises." Kristen said.
"Thank you, Kristen. I understand. I will text you soon." I said and hung up. I went back in and talked to the doctor. He said they would have it ready shortly. Then I just stood there not knowing what to do. Lisa came out of a room and got me to go with her. We were all in the quiet room. I sat there staring at my hands, I could feel everything Tyson was going through. The pain subsided. They must have put him out. After half an hour the doctor came and gave me a number to text Kristen. I texted it to her. She sent me a heart emoji.
SASHA'S POV

It was a beautiful warm day; the market was full of people. We walked from vendor to vendor looking at thing. I stopped at a vendor that had sundress for sale. There was a beautiful dress in soft peach with tiny white flowers on it. But I could not understand their sizing, when an elderly lady came up to me and put her hands around my waist. Then passed me the dress. She spoke to me in Portuguese, I had no idea what she said.
"My grandmother said, that size will fit you," a tall well-built man said.
"Tell her thank you, I love the dress." I said.
"Grandmother said thank you and you are a beautiful Queen." He said then went and talked to Quin while I looked to see if there was anything else I wanted. I saw a peach sun hat that would be perfect for the dress and took it and the dress to Quin who paid for them. The man put them in a large bag and thanked us. We walked around some more when I spotted a vendor selling Ice-cream, I grabbed Quin by the hand and dragged him to the vendor he laughed at me.
I could not read the writing for the flavors, so I picked one that looked good.
"One or two scoops?" Quin asked.
"One please,” I told him. We got our ice-cream and went and sat on a bench in a large area that had benches around it. Street performers were doing all kinds of things; there was a man playing a guitar. Another man singing over on the other side. There were clowns that were juggling and making balloon animals for the children. A man started playing the piano and everyone went quiet as a man and women came out and started to dance to the music of the piano the guitar player joined the piano player as the two people danced. It was very beautiful.
When we were done our ice-cream we went and looked at more vendors then we had what Quin called street food for dinner, it was delicious. When we got back to the hotel we both showered then I got into the jacuzzi. Quin went and got a bottle of champagne from the fridge and two champagne flutes. He got into the jacuzzi with me and pored us each a glass of champagne.
