CHAPTER 108
“What if someone messes up and she gets something with nuts." I said. She won't Kristen and I will personally bring her all her meals." Leigh said, trying to reassure me. She kissed my cheek and left. Five minutes later, a guy came in with a large chair that reclined.
"In case you want to have a sleep, Alpha." The man said. I got up, and he set the big chair close to the bed. I sat down and called Colt. I hoped I could get through the call.
"Tyson, how is my girl doing?" He asked.
"They brought Nancy back about half an hour ago. She is sleeping." I said.
"How are the pups?" Luna Rachel asked. I could hear the fear in her voice.
"They are good, still in mommy's tummy." I said as I took Nancy's hand again.
"Thank the Goddess." She said.
"What happened, Tyson?" Colt asked. I explained it the best I could to them.
"She has to have the pups there?" Luna asked, upset.
"I'm sorry, yes, she does. Then the pups can't fly until they are three months old." I then tried to explain why.
"I'm not happy about this Tyson. I want this Alpha Perrie's number. I want to make sure he will be doing everything possible to make her happy and comfortable." Colt said. I reluctantly gave him the number.
"The last time we talked, it sounded like you were all at the pack hospital." I said.
"We were, Quin got hurt in a rogue attack. We will learn more about his condition in a few hours." You just take care of Nancy. Have her call us when she feels up to it. I will let you be with her. Tell her we love her, " Colt said.
SASHA'S POV
I sat for a long time, holding Quins' hand, still confused as to why I was not healing him. I linked Lucas.
"Lucas, is grandmother still here, or did they go back to Sebastian's?" I asked.
"They are staying the night, what's up?" He asked.
"Can you ask grandmother why I am not able to heal Quin," I asked.
"Give me a min." He said, leaving the link open. After five or so minutes, he connected with me again.
"Sasha, she said. She has no idea. You should be able to heal him. I will ask Morgan if she might have an idea and will link you back. I will get your mom to link you about Nancy." He told me
"Thank you," I said and closed the link.
Quin started moaning in his sleep.
"I'm here, love," I said, rubbing his, hoping the mate bond would calm him. He calmed down and was sleeping again peacefully. Morgan linked me.
"Sasha, Lucas just told me you can't heal Quin."
"I don't understand it, Morgan. It always just happens. Nothing happens at all. I'm scared."
"Sasha, don't question me. Just do what I tell you. Have Dr. Morris, do a pregnancy test."
"Morgan, I would know if I was pregnant."
Sasha, it is the only thing that books say could stop you from healing someone, that or you are positioned. Humor me and do the test. I will link you back in an hour. Why don't you have your phone?"
"They are afraid of infection."
"Have the test!" She said and closed the link.
I buzzed for a nurse. She came in ten minutes later.
"Sasha, you buzzed?" The nurse asked.
"Can you call Dr. Morris, and have him come see me, please. It is of great importance." I asked her.
"Yes, Sasha. Right away. " the nurse said.
About twenty minutes later, Dr. Morris came in. I was surprised he was so fast, I thought he would be busy in labor and delivery. I said as much to him
"When summoned by the Queen.it is important to be as fast as possible, don't worry Dr. Harrison is also there." He laughed.
"It was no rush; Morgan wants you to do a blood test to see if I'm with pups." I told him.
"Have you had any of the symptoms that come with pregnancy?" He asked.
"No, nothing. But Morgan insisted I have it done." I told him.
"What makes her think you are?" He asked.
"You know that as the Oracle I have the power
to heal?" I asked.
"Yes, I know this." He answered.
"Well, right now, I'm not able to heal Quin." I told him. I was on the verge of tears.
"I will send someone to do the test." We should have the result in an hour." He told me. The nurse came in and drew the blood.
Then left without a word. She just kept smiling. Quin was becoming restless in his sleep again. I reached over and rubbed his arm to soothe him. He called out my name.
"I'm here, Quin. We are all safe now. Rest, my love." I told him as I kept trying to soothe him.
TYSON'S POV
I must have drifted off with my head on the bed beside Nancy. I don't know how long I was asleep for. I woke up to Nancy stocking
My hair. I lifted my head and smiled at her.
"Hello, beautiful it is good to see you finally awake."
"Hi," she said with a raspy voice. I let go of her hand and got her a drink of water from the pitcher of ice water that was on the bed table. That's when I noticed the tray with sandwiches and a thermos on it. I picked up the note that was on the tray and walked back to the bed, giving Nancy the glass of water.
"Little sips," I told her. She drank half of the water and passed it back to me.
"What is the note?" she asked. I unfolded it and read it to her.
Tyson, I'm going home to make Nancy some food the sandwiches and thermos of coffee are for you. Call me if she wakes up before I'm back. Love Leigh. Nancy reached for my hand.
"Don't call her yet, please." Nancy asked.
"I really should tell her you're awake, beautiful. I'm sure she will need to make sure you're doing okay." I told her. She gave those pleading eyes.
"Ten minutes, then I really should call," I said.
"Tyson, what happened?" She asked.
"You turned gray, I ran just outside the door and yelled for the nurse. She pushed a button, and everyone came running. They kicked me out. Then they took you somewhere. You were gone for over four hours. Leigh will have to explain the rest. I really didn't understand much. But yes, the pups are fine." I told her. Then I hugged her and kissed her on the forehead. I called Leigh and told her Nancy was awake. Leigh said she was on her way.
"Why am I hooked up to these machines?" Nancy asked.
"They are just monitoring you can the babies." I told her. Still sitting on the side of the bed holding her. I could not bring myself to say everything would be ok. We did not know that for sure.
