Chapter 104 Bonding
Chapter 104 Bonding
The photograph felt like a physical weight in my hand, burning against my skin. Aaron’s father. My father.
Richard Hale.
The pieces of the puzzle were spinning in my head, but suddenly, the terrifying mystery vanished, replaced by a cold, hard reality.
This wasn't some cosmic conspiracy. It was a old, ugly blood feud, and Aaron was trying to use the ghosts of our fathers to justify his sick obsession with me and my baby.
"So that's his grand finale," I said, my voice surprisingly steady as I dropped the photo onto the security console.
Lucien, Vincent, and Zane all looked at me, their bodies still vibrating with lethal tension.
Ethan looked like he was bracing for me to scream or cry. But looking at the three Voss brothers, and feeling the tiny life growing inside me, the fear completely evaporated. I was done being a victim in a story written before I was even born.
"Sarah?" Ethan asked cautiously.
"I'm fine, Ethan," I said, turning to him. The anger was gone, replaced by a strange sort of clarity. "You kept a secret to protect me.
Aaron's father killed ours, and now Aaron thinks he has some twisted right to my child. But he's wrong. This ends today."
Lucien stepped forward, a dark, fiercely proud look gleaming in his eyes. "It ends whenever you want it to, Sarah. We already tracked the digital signature of the hospital leak.
Zane found the safehouse Aaron is using. He's barely three miles from here, waiting for Hale to bring him your reaction."
"He's waiting for me to panic," I said, looking at the three brothers who had completely upended my world, the three men who shared a bond with me that went deeper than law or blood. "Let's give him a reaction he won't survive."
Vincent stepped up, a wicked, breathtaking smirk spreading across his lips. "Now that is exactly what I wanted to hear. No more hiding."
Zane simply reached into his jacket, pulling out a sleek black tracking pad. "The perimeter team is already moving on the safehouse. Aaron and Hale won't even have time to realize they've been cornered."
"Take Ethan and Amara to the safe room," Lucien ordered the head guard, his voice leaving absolutely no room for argument. He turned to my brother. "We will finish this. I suggest you stay with your wife."
Ethan looked at me, seeing the absolute certainty in my eyes, and finally nodded. He gave my shoulder a tight squeeze before leading Amara out of the room.
The heavy doors clicked shut, leaving me alone with my three protectors. The air in the room instantly shifted, turning thick, hot, and charged with an intense, possessive energy. The threat outside was already as good as dead; the hunters had been released, and the outcome was non-negotiable.
Lucien walked over, his massive frame towering over me as he cupped my face in his large, warm hands. "You stay here in the nerve center with the primary guard. The second Aaron is handled, we come back to you. Understand?"
"I understand," I whispered, my heart hammering—not from fear anymore, but from the raw, overwhelming friction of having all three of them focused entirely on me.
Vincent slid up right behind me, his chest pressing into my back, his hands wrapping around my waist to rest flat against my stomach. His lips brushed the shell of my ear, his breath hot and ragged. "As soon as we wipe this stain out of our lives, kitten, you belong to us. Completely. No more distractions. No more spaces between us."
"Vincent," Zane warned, though his own voice was deep and thick with a dark promise as he stepped up to my side, his fingers tangling with mine, squeezing hard enough to ground me. "Let's clear the board first."
Lucien tilted my head up, his dark eyes fiercely possessive. He didn't care about the past, the feud, or the secrets. He only cared about the woman in his arms and the future we were building. He leaned down and crushed his lips against mine in a deep, bruising kiss that tasted like a vow of absolute protection.
When he pulled away, my lips were tingling and my breath was completely gone.
"Wait for us," Lucien growled softly.
"Always," I breathed.
True to their word, the Voss brothers didn't play games.
I watched the entire operation unfold from the monitors. It wasn't a drawn-out dramatic showdown. It was a tactical execution. Zane’s coordinates were flawless. Lucien’s men moved like a ghost army, breaching the dilapidated cabin on the edge of the estate line within fifteen minutes.
Richard Hale was caught trying to load a vehicle. He was brought to his knees before he could even blink. And Aaron...
Aaron tried to run. I watched his panicked figure bolt from the back door on the thermal camera feed, only to be met by the towering, terrifying shapes of Lucien, Vincent, and Zane waiting for him in the tree line.
There was no negotiation. There were no grand villain speeches. Aaron reached into his pocket, and Vincent moved like lightning, putting him flat on the dirt before he could draw a weapon.
Within minutes, both men were loaded into the back of blacked-out SUVs, bound for a deep, dark hole they would never, ever crawl out of.
The threat to my child, to my life, and to my sanity was permanently erased.
The line had been crossed, and the Voss brothers had completely broken the pencil.
By the time the clock struck midnight, the house was completely still again.
The guards had returned to their normal, quiet patrols. Ethan and Amara had been sent to a secure luxury hotel in the city to process everything in peace.
I was upstairs in the master bedroom, the massive king-sized bed looking almost too large for just me. I had showered, wrapping myself in a silk emerald nightgown that clung to the soft curves of my body, my skin still flushed from the lingering adrenaline of the day.
The heavy bedroom door pushed open, and all three of them walked in.
They looked exhausted, but the second their eyes landed on me sitting in the center of the bed, the weariness vanished, replaced by a heavy, primal hunger.
Lucien closed the door and locked it, the definitive click echoing through the quiet room.
Vincent stripped his ruined shirt off first, tossing it to the floor, his sculpted, tattooed chest gleaming under the dim lamp light.
He crawled onto the mattress on his hands and knees, moving toward me like a predator tracking its prey.
"Tell me you're not trembling anymore, kitten," he murmured, his hands sliding up my bare calves, pulling me closer to the edge of the bed.
"I'm not," I whispered, my pulse racing for an entirely different reason now. "I'm ready."
Zane sat on the edge of the mattress, his large hands reaching out to capture my waist, lifting me effortlessly so I was straddling his lap.
His dark eyes burned into mine as his thumbs stroked the sides of my hips. "You're safe now, Sarah. He's gone. The past is dead. It's just us."
Lucien walked over, the sheer authority of his presence commanding the room. He leaned down, his large hand wrapping around the back of my neck to pull me into a deep, consuming kiss that stole the last of my breath.
While his mouth claimed mine, Vincent’s hands slid under the hem of my silk nightgown, his warm palms caressing the sensitive skin of my thighs, moving higher until a soft gasp escaped my throat into Lucien's mouth.
"You are ours," Lucien growled against my lips, his hands moving to cup my jaw, his gaze locking me in place. "Every beautiful, stubborn inch of you.
And this baby is going to have three fathers who would burn the world to ashes before letting anyone touch either of you."
"Show me," I whimpered, arching my back as Zane’s lips found the sensitive skin of my collarbone, his teeth gently nipping at my skin, marking me as his.
Vincent let out a low, rough growl, pulling me back down onto the soft sheets, his body pinning mine as his lips trailed down to my chest, his hands possessive and urgent.
Lucien and Zane moved in right beside him, surrounding me completely, overwhelming my senses until the entire world shrank down to just the heat of their skin, the weight of their bodies, and the fierce, undeniable love of the three men who would protect me forever.
