Vanessa Vargas

I smiled, shaking the hand of the interior designer.

She was so pretty, blonde, bright, bubbly.

Now let's just hope a 50 Shades of Grey issue doesn't happen with her. Ifykyk.

"This is my wife, you may refer to her as Ace, she has better taste than I so this will be her arena." Spade said and I was frozen at the term wife.

She nodded.

"Absolutely understandable, now, Ace, may I take a look around?" She motioned to the casino.

"Yes." I nodded, dazed.

He grabbed my ass, his mouth against my ear.

"Never will I call you my girlfriend." He kept walking and I cleared my throat as people stared and I adjusted my dress from the grabbing before walking.

She walked around, observing both the people in the casino and the furniture.

"So these are non-removable, correct?" She looked at me.

I folded my hands in front of me.

"Correct, they're bolted into the cement under the tile. Would it be an issue to work around them?" I asked.

"Absolutely not." She scribbled it down.

"I'm going to be sitting down, playing Craps, if you need anything, I'm here." He rubbed my arm with the back of his knuckles, his cold rings giving me chills as he kissed my temple and walked away.

"Can you give me a run down of the machines? Any underground things to worry about?" She asked.

"No, this casino isn't rigged. There's no way to rig the roll of dice, the cards could be hidden sure but someone always sees eventually, no one is smooth enough to get away with anything. There's nothing to worry about when it comes to the structure, no pipes, there's no worry about the cement under the tile, since there's nothing to redecorate there." I said and she nodded.

"Sorry, I know it has nothing to do with decorating but this place is so interesting. I'm interested in architecture so." She shrugged and smiled at me.

I nodded, understanding.

"What are we thinking on changes?" She asked and I crossed my arms.

"I love the black tile, but instead of marble, I want specks of red, does that make sense? Not marble, but black with shimmers of red foils or glitter." I explained.

"Beautiful and anything to match?"

"The bar top. I want the exact same thing for it. The specks of red." I nodded.

"Alright, anything with lighting?" She asked, observing the ceiling.

"Yes, I want to rid of the one big chandelier with lights just randomly around. I want 3 more medium ones, once again black but glossy to contrast the white open ceiling. No yellow shaded bulbs. White LED will add a classy touch." I said and she nodded.

She scribbled it down.

"Am I going to quick?" I asked.

"No, you're absolutely perfect."

"Okay, for under the bar, I was protected lights built into the counter. So the chairs are highlighted, when you sit there's light under there more specific to the area, similar internal lights spaced out on the low ceiling above the back of the bar so the bartender can see better. But with unique lightbulbs that have the choices and adjustments to be dimmed for nights." I explained.

"Yes, that's amazing."

"For the playing tables, I'd like lighting. I'm not sure where so it would look good enough. Unless the chandeliers are able to be bright enough to provide sufficient light." I shrugged, looking around.

"If you're going for visible but dim, just the chandeliers would be enough." She affirmed.

"Amazing. That's it for in here. When that's finished I'd love to speak about the new restaurant opening." I smiled.

"Absolutely, it was lovely meeting you and your husband, I appreciate your work and amazing taste." She offered a hand and I took it, shaking it.

"Have a lovely rest of your day, I'll call if any changes are made or things aren't going as planned." She smiled.

"Thank you."

"Of course, Mrs. Maverick." She left and I was once again, frazzled.

"Mrs. Maverick. God if people called you that I may begin liking people using my last name more." Spade groaned, before smirking as he came and stood in front of me.

I nodded, not knowing what to say.

He chuckled.

"You just killed someone, how do you get over it so fast?" I asked.

"I usually obsess but it's you. Anyways, what's happening in here?"

"Expensive things." I was nervous and he blinked.

"That's not what I asked, Ace. Money is my job, yours is to make this look how you envision it." He said.

"Uhm, removing the black marble tile. Replacing it with black tile, no marble, with red foils to have it kind of dance red sparkles under the new lighting. Same style for the floor is going to the bar counters, lights being built into the bottom where people would sit down a dramatic effect." I pointed and he didn't look where I pointed, he just stared at me.

"Then we're getting rid of the giant thing in the sky, putting three medium sized, glossy black chandeliers, removing the yellow lightbulbs for white LED. Adding more light behind the bar with adjustable lights for dimming affects during certain times of day. Andddd then would you mind if we adjusted the new restaurant?" I gave him a 'pretty please' smile.

"Whatever you desire, amata mio." He walked toward me, cupping my face, kissing me and I smiled.

"Having a CEO boy-"

"I'm not a boyfriend."

"Having a CEO famous Spade isn't so bad." I laughed.

He hugged me.

"It's never been bad you weirdo."

"I know."
