Robbery In Progress

"Kelsey--" I cut her off. "Does it ever get exhausting?" The frustration had to be clear in my eyes. Her eyes widened in surprise, "does what ever get exhausting?" "Running. You run from everything. From everyone. You've gotta be downright exhausted." This was it, her last chance to say something, anything. To say: "Kelsey, I am exhausted. I want to stop running. I want to love you and be loved by you." But did she? Nope. She didn't. She said, "it does. I am.," then walked out the door. Police Detective Kelsey Collins has no intentions of settling down any time soon. Being single allows her to avoid the guilt of working long hours at the precinct and she never has to account for her whereabouts to anyone. But then FBI Agent Emma Harrison stumbles into her life and suddenly she finds herself interested in something more than just her robbery-homicide case. FBI Agent Emma Harrison prides herself on keeping her work life and personal life separate. But after her one and only one-night stand turns out to be Police Detective Kelsey Collins; she finds her worlds colliding. Will she be able to overcome the grief of her past and the fears of her future in order to find her robbers and maybe, just maybe, true love?
