Reyansh POV
After a long pause, he shouted from the other side," Four years ago."
"Mr. Miller, As I already warned you not to use your raised voice towards me, I'm sure I'm not that patient enough to put up with your disrespect. Please keep in mind who I am. Do not underestimate my strength, though. I'm more than capable of wiping out the entire Miller crew." I replied in a calm yet firm note and hung up the call.
I did not necessarily have to put up with Mr. Miller's rudeness and haughtiness toward me just because we shared the same motivation during the trial of that girl.
I like to maintain my authority and respect in every situation irrespective of the person on the other or whatever their background may be. I am a man of my word and do not tolerate any form of disrespect or disobedience.
I was not interested at that time in his motivation for imprisoning his daughter. When I found out about his actions to imprison her, I was not interested in their family matter. I was much satisfied that she was being imprisoned for snatching the most valuable thing in my life. I was already in my depression state at that time, so I didn't want any additional distress and chose to distance myself from that case.
As someone in a position of power and influence, I have developed the ability to regulate my emotions and exhibit composed behavior even during challenging situations. However, like everyone else, there came a point in my life where I reached my breaking point - the harshness of reality became too much for me to bear, leading me down into the depths of depression. I sought out professional assistance after months of drowning myself in self-guilt and hopelessness, and I then started on the path to recovery and healing.
That phase was the most painful and challenging chapter of my life. Although I turned into a heartless, stone-like person, I still think of her daily.
I, therefore, did as I felt was appropriate at the time and removed myself to observe the trial from a distance.
As an underage offender, she was slated to serve five years in prison for her actions. However, instead of showing compassion towards his own daughter and allowing the justice system to take its course, her father abused his power by doubling her sentence.
At that particular moment, getting my desired outcome was all that mattered to me and I completely disregarded any other factors. My focus solely lay on making sure the accused received punishment as an act of revenge. As a result, I did not even bother to carry out an impartial investigation into the circumstances surrounding the case.
I can't seem to find the truth as I maneuver through this perplexing situation. In this turbulent time, I'm wondering if my efforts to exact revenge were the right ones. All I can do, despite everything, is hope that my search for justice wasn't hurried or impulsive.

In my thoughts, I didn't realize when the sun set, casting the room in darkness. I sighed and looked out the window, observing the city's shimmering lights. The view was breathtaking, but my mind was preoccupied with the dilemma I found myself in. Just then, my phone rang, interrupting my thoughts.
"Yes," I replied tiredly on answering the call.
"I have taken the liberty to gather and send you a comprehensive report, sir. Please go through it thoroughly as there may be some crucial pieces of information that could assist in the case. However, upon reviewing my findings, I stumbled across an anomaly that begs for further investigation: It appears that all records about her activities beyond prison walls are missing from our database. Despite extensive efforts on my part, I was unable to uncover any evidence detailing her conduct post-release - besides the confirmation of serving five years behind bars."
I thanked my investigator for his efforts and hung up, deep in thought.
Despite extensive research, there don't appear to be any records of what happened to the woman in jail. It is puzzling because it fuels concerns that unidentified parties involved in her case might be trying to hide evidence. The lack of information raises concerns about whether Mr. Miller or any other person of interest orchestrated this act and why. Is he guarding some sort of secret that would implicate him if revealed? Alternatively, has someone gone out of their way and manipulated records to hide crucial details related to the inmate's incarceration? It is evident that Mr. Miller seems unaware of his daughter's time behind bars; therefore, he might not be a noteworthy suspect in hiding important details related.
How come I didn't receive any information about the situation, and how come my men can't figure it out? Another possibility is that someone tampered with the prison records.
I am not the strongest person in this shit; someone stronger than me is. Two groups exist, though.
In contrast to my group, which is equally strong. The last time I looked, however, they are not even close to this circumstance.
All the possibilities swirling around in my head are making me feel like I'm in a hurricane.
I found the most recent email when I opened the screen.
When I opened the file, my eyes were met with a breathtaking image of a young woman. Her radiant face immediately captured my attention and left me in awe. It's difficult to find the right words to describe her beauty; it was more than just attractive - she looked like a goddess come down from the heavens above. Admittedly, before this moment I had never paid close attention before but now that I saw her stunning features up close, there is no denying how remarkable they truly are.
As I gazed upon her countenance, my eyes were drawn to each delicate feature. The curve of her lips and the sparkle in her eyes held me enraptured. Despite my attempts at redirection, I couldn't shake the magnetic pull she had on not just my gaze but also my heartstrings.
The impact of her situation and actions towards me left a profound impression, as I confronted the harsh reality of it all. It was astonishing how someone who had never even met me could have such a dark effect on my life.
Aanya Miller - two words that were etched into my memory. It's peculiar how a name could hold such power over one's mind, but I suppose it was mostly because of the association attached to it. For reasons beyond me, every time her name crossed my thoughts or lips, an inexplicable wave of discomfort washed over me. Perhaps it is due to the tangled web weaved by our past experiences; perhaps Aanya has simply left too much of an impact on who I am today for me to shake off her influence so easily. In any case, saying her name leaves an unpalatable taste in my mouth and sends shivers down my spine at once- not something I enjoy doing frequently nor fondly reminiscing about.
Upon learning that her father's name is Williams Miller, a wave of emotions engulfed me. It was as if the ground beneath my feet had completely shifted, and I found myself struggling to grasp this new piece of information. Her mother goes by the name of Gitanjali Miller.
However, my personal experience only extends to Robert and Jessica Miller who are the owners of the powerful Miller Group.
The situation at hand has reached an impressive depth, and its gravity is becoming increasingly apparent.
I made a conscious decision to head back home to gather my thoughts and approach this case with renewed focus. I realized that attempting to complete the file while being emotionally scattered would only lead me down a path of frustration and ultimately compromise my standard of thought. As I arrived home, I took some time for introspection, allowing myself space for contemplation before diving into work again.
To complement this re-centering activity, I decided to indulge in some Italian cuisine from one of my favorite nearby restaurants since it never fails to soothe me. Opting out on dining out tonight, as much as socializing appealed, having dinner in the comfort of my apartment was exactly what felt right at that moment. It gave me peace of mind which aided in maintaining productivity levels later on in the night!
When I finally get to my apartment, I choose to take a cold shower to relax. My mind was racing with all the possibilities and details that were circling in my head as I was taking a shower.
I finished taking a refreshing shower, put on my comfortable shorts, and headed for the kitchen. As I prepared to satisfy my hunger pangs, an overwhelming thought crossed my mind - how many other secrets were being kept from me? The mystery surrounding certain aspects of my life bothered me as I sat down to relish the flavors of my food.
After gathering my thoughts, I decided to finally finish checking the file and assemble all the necessary data.
With a grim determination, I poured myself a glass of smooth whiskey and settled in to read through the file once more. Every word on every page was scrutinized with meticulous attention as I sought even the slightest hint that could prove useful in solving this confounding situation. With each sip of my drink, I delved deeper into the text before me, fully committed to uncovering any clues that may shed light on this perplexing case
Aanya Miller is thus the child of William and Gitanjali Miller.
William Miller was born in 1967 and is a native of Washington, USA. As opposed to this, Gitanjali Miller was born in 1962 in South India.
They encountered each other at California University, where her parents were pursuing advanced degrees. Initially just friends, they eventually grew attracted to
one another and commenced a courtship that led them to tie the knot and establish their household.
Gitanjali Miller was completely unaware of William Miller's true identity, which further complicates the plot at this point. William just so happened to be the son of none other than James Miller, a wealthy business tycoon with a vast network and enormous influence in his industry, as it turns out later. James harbored a pervasive prejudice against any Indian match for his only son because of his casteist outlook, which detested intercaste marriage alliances. He looked for a suitor who would bring him a similarly financially well-off family daughter-in-law as well as complementary criteria like social prestige among others being checked off to perpetuate and consolidate their wealth. Later, Gitanjali discovered the startling truth about Williams' ancestry- which surprised her and left her feeling betrayed.
She was devastated and decided to speak with his father. She chose to speak to his father about her relationship with William because she comes from a family where advice from the parents is highly valued. The revelation of William's true identity and his father's disapproval created a rift between the couple, which ultimately led to their separation.
