After verifying the doctor's reports at different hospitals. Giselle returned home to the Blue Ridge manor wearing a gloomy expression on her face.
she was saddened by the news of her pregnancy. This might be the best news she'd received many years but the reality behind this good news is what is killing her.
How is she going to face Zayn now that she has gotten herself pregnant with his child? He'll ask her to get rid of the many if he finds out, just like he can't wait to remove her from his life.
She braces herself and pressed on the doorbell. within a few seconds, Ms.sue slide the door open with a smile.
“You're back, Ma'am Giselle?” She as soon as the door was opened revealing her lean figure.
The gloomy expression on her face instantly changed into a pleasant one as she said, "Yes. I finish all of my work early. so, I thought of returning home to prepare a meal for the young master”.
She replied feigning a smile. she didn't want Ms. sue to ask her questions about her disrupted mood. otherwise, she might end up worrying about her and she would have no other choice but to tell her the whole truth.
Telling her the truth about her pregnancy would limit her chances of leaving.
Ms. sue took a few steps aside to allow her into the house. when Giselle was about to return to the upstairs, Ms. Sue scurried behind her and said.“ Young madam, Giselle, the young master had sent these over for you”. she said pointing in the direction of the table in the living room.“A delivery boy dropped by earlier to deliver these with a message that the young master instructed that it should be handed over to you specifically. Since you were not back yet, I took them for you with so much difficulty ” She went over and return with the bags. she gave them to her.
With confusion written all over her, Giselle couldn't understand why on earth Zayn would send her such expensive gifts.“Ms. Sue, are you it wasn't the wrong address? why would the Young master send such expensive gifts for me?” She asked, checking the package all over for a clue. her hands were shaky and doubts clung to her chest like a stubborn leech.
“I'm sure Ma'am, the delivery boy had specifically mentioned your name. I'm sure it's for you. you should check it, there should be a letter”
With slow moments, she began checking the package all over. Then, her gaze fell on a bright red letter posted on the corner of the package.
She picked it up and was about to read it. Then, she recalled something.
“I'll go upstairs first, Ms. Sue. I'll be back”.
With that, she left the living room bearing the gifts in her bosom. And her hands firmly holding the bag she had taken out with her.
She dropped the bags on the bed, the moment she stepped into her room. She had forgotten all about the gifts that were sent for her, so when she had set the bags on the bag. she was about to go back downstairs when her eyes fell on the bright red card, she walked over and took it.
With shaky hands, she slid the paper open. her mind was in her throat as she feared that she was going to see another name on the card instead of hers. Then, she braces herself for whatever is written in the letter.
When she glanced through it, it reads, “Get dressed and come to the venue in this card. don't keep me waiting!”
Yeah. the gifts are hers! This is how he usually talks to her and she can never forget how rude he spoke to her every time he come around to the manor.
Still confused about the whole thing. Giselle decided to do as he had said in his letter.
She glanced at her wristwatch and saw that the time was fast spent. it was already 6:00 pm, and she was to be at the venue by 7:30 pm.
She still had about an hour to get ready. She rushed into the bathroom for a quick shower.
While taking her clothes off, her eyes darted around the entire room as she tries to memorize every cranny of the room.
This place has been her secret haven for the past three years. It's her favorite place of warmth and pillow for her tears, but very soon, she's going to give up everything and go away.
Leaving is only the way to save her baby as well as release herself from the clutch of being married to a man, who didn't love and might never love her in the future.
After spending three lonely years in this room, she has become a master of her art. The decorative figure of her world and the designer of her dreams.
Each corner of the room screams her presence. her favorite things are all allocated in here.
She's a huge lover of art, so there are many artworks from local designers across the country.
She always buys her favorite artworks from the local designers because she believes that this group of people put their hearts into creating this piece of work. Not for the sake of money but for the sake of the emotions embedded in their hearts while doing it.
At the entrance to the room, hung a huge wedding frame with both of them as the muse. In this picture was wearing a very bright smile that almost revealed all of her teeth, while Zayn on the other hand looked gloomy. his expression was dark, sad, and wary. Anyone would come to know the reasons for this with just a glance at the frame.
He didn't want to get married to her!
Giselle was so happy getting married to the man she had loved all her life that she didn't realize that he was not going to treat her well in the future.
In front of the dressing, was her few makeups kits. She doesn't like applying makeup but after she got married she wanted to look good for Zayn, maybe he would consider her worthy of him.
On the bedside, were the wedding gifts. she had received from both her grandparents and grandpa Meyer three years ago. she kept them safe for the future when he might decide to get married to Danica instead. She knew both families are not going to accept this, and might never give them their blessings she thought that these gifts would serve as a sign of their blessings in the future.
There were so many things to be memorized if she was going to think about everything right now. Then, she's going to be very late and Zayn might get married to her for this.
Just like the last time, he took her to a business meeting. She messed everything up and was humiliated in front of everyone. Even Danica was also present at this meeting unable to control her body movement after seeing how her husband was getting too close to Danica without sparing any oita of respect for her. She became tumultuous and ended up making a fool put of herself.
Back then, She had unintentionally spilled a cup of hot coffee on a business associate which led to the deal being canceled.
When they arrived back home, Zayn was so mad at her that he said so many hurtful things to her.
“You're inexplicably foolish enough to be called the leader of the fools. You don't have anything to contribute to my life, if you don't want to see me mad, please don't make it difficult for me to show my face to the world”.
He had said that to her in anger. after that night, he didn't return him until the night before yesterday.
He was ashamed to take her anywhere with him since he thought she wasn't good enough to stand beside him
And most times, he questioned she was given half of the family inheritance instead of Danica, who he believes is better in all ramifications than her.
Danica is beautiful with brains. She's gorgeous and smart; not only is she smart but cunning to the core.
This is one of the qualities, Zayn had failed to identify in her.
Snapping back to reality, Giselle heaved a big sigh of relief as she thought.
All of these are going to be over soon! I just need to finish with the anniversary then I will go away from their lives forever with my baby, I ain't going to let him know about the baby.
The sound of her phone ringing made her abandon her thoughts and go to pick the call.
“Ma'am, the client has sent over the contract for the new fashion store. I've had it sent over to your house. You should check on it first”.
“I will do that as soon as I was done with my work here. don't worry I'll get back to you after reviewing the contract”.
it was a call from her assistant at the Medina Corporation, Alicia.
After the call dropped, Giselle rushed to the bathroom and came back within a few minutes. Then, she proceeds to get dressed in the black evening gown with a touch of shiny diamond studded in the dress.
This dress is from the new collection of Grandex collections, there are only ten of this dress in the world and it was recently launched just yesterday.
how would zayn have gotten his hands on this dress in such a short time? or the question should be why would he get them for me?
According to the report released by the head of fashion commerce during the annual meeting a few days ago, the dress was worth at least 30 million.
Not that he can't afford to lavish 30 million on what he sets his eyes but how could he do that for her?
The more she thought about it, the more complicated the entire facade becomes.
She looked into the bag and found high shoes from the same company and the shoes looked like it was specially made for a goddess.
The shoe was in sliver color with diamond-studded in each corner of the lines that appear to the eyes. about 30 pieces of diamond were instilled in the shoe during the making process.
It is the highest-selling fashion item in the entire country, and not everyone is allowed to own a pair of these fancy shoes.
How come she's so lucky?
is he trying to buy me off before he sent me away? is that his plan then?
Giselle is a huge fan of fashion since she loves to create designs but she didn't want to get so obsessed with this item that's why she prefers to live a simple life.
After bringing out the items from the bag, she got dressed and apply a little bit of makeup to make a difference; she didn't want Zayn to feel any worse for bringing them out today.
Meanwhile, in an exclusive Presidential villa of the best hotels in the city. Danica was seated with a glass of wine in her hand while someone was giving her a head massage.
She was about to take a sip from her glass when a call came into her phone. A look of recognition from crept onto her face and she smiled.
“Privacy!”
when she said that. the lady left the room almost instantly.
“Miss Medina, the packages have been delivered to the address just as you instructed ”. A deep voice of a man could be heard from the other end of the line.
”Good. You'll get the rest of your money just now. And yes, make sure to seal your lips In the future, I don't want you anywhere in Orange city or even Bay city at all”.
With that, the call dropped.
So now, it will be up to me to decide if you'll be alive to show off the dress Zayn got you or you're taking it along with you to your end!
she thought to her with her lips curving into a sneaky smile.
“Get my dress ready ”
She instructed her assistant over the phone. Then, she moved close to the outside of the city looking out through the balcony of the room she's staying at.
This place was where she used to spend some time with Zayn back then, during this time she tried everything she could to make Zayn make love to her, she even went as far as begging him but his mind was always in a daze when they make a move toward that.
He was always thinking about the wrong he was doing to her. Even though he treated her cruelly when she's in front of him, he respects her when she's not there to see.
This attitude of his has angered Danica so much that she wanted to hurt Giselle so badly.
I'm finally going to have everything all to myself now, everything you had and everyone that had your back. I'm going to do such a thing that it'll be very difficult to overlook your needs.
“So it's decided. The new branch of Meyer hotels will handle the projects along with the Capitol Builders. I want to see how capable they can be at this time. Make sure not to mess things up”.
“We won't sir!”
in the large conference hall of the Meyer Group of companies ,Zayn was in the middle of a meeting when he suddenly raised his wrist to look at the time.
“So that would be all for today”.
He said dismissively.
Just as the meeting came to an end, his personal assistant stood up and left after him.
“President Meyer, You still have a meeting with the head of the departments at 7:00pm. Another meeting with the Cellular Corporation by 10:00, That would after your dinner date with Mrs Meyer”.
Gael read the schedules to him while running hard to catch up with him. Then , he suddenly came to a stop when Giselle's name was mentioned.
“Cancel my other meetings for today. I don't want to see anyone else today”.
“Yes, President Meyer”
With that settled. he strode away without waiting for any explanation.
Gael, on the other hand was stunned by this. Until yesterday, Zayn had never cared about the existence of this woman, how come he's suddenly so ready to give up billions of dollars for her take?
I must be imagining things or did president Meyer really cancel all of his meetings?
This is impossible but he actually did!
