Chapter 105: Reversing The Red Witch Curse

I wouldn't say I liked the idea of going to the Crystal Cave while I was pregnant. Having mixed feelings did not help the situation at all. With a heavy heart, I obeyed my mother's request and ventured into the fairy realm. The air was thick with magic as we passed through the portal, leaving behind the familiar sights and sounds of Dragon Realm. We were greeted by Queen Alyssa, a regal and ethereal figure whose eyes sparkled with otherworldly wisdom.

Queen Alyssa led us through a verdant forest, each step filled with anticipation and hope. As the sun filtered through the canopy of leaves, casting dancing shadows on the ground, I couldn't help but feel a glimmer of optimism. Maybe, just maybe, the answer to breaking the curse lay within this realm.

Queen Alyssa beckoned me towards a small cottage nestled among the trees in a clearing bathed in iridescent light. Inside, the walls were adorned with delicate fairy tapestries, shimmering with hues of blue and gold. My heart swelled with gratitude for their hospitality. "Queen Portia," Queen Alyssa began, her voice melodic like the tinkling of wind chimes. "To break the curse and protect your unborn child, you must seek the Tear of Serenity, hidden deep within the Crystal Caverns of the Enchanted Mountains. "My breath caught in my throat. The Crystal Caverns were known for their treacherous paths and guardians who tested the resolve of anyone who sought their secrets. But I couldn't let fear deter me. I had crossed realms to be here and would have lost too much to abandon this chance at restoring happiness to my King and his family.

Queen Alyssa continued, her voice filled with caution and concern. "Portia, the path ahead is perilous, but I have faith in your strength and the love that beats within your heart. To accompany you on this journey, I present Rishae and Lishan, two of the bravest fairies in our realm." The two fairies stepped forward, their wings shimmering in hues of emerald and sapphire. With her golden hair and mischievous smile, Lishan radiated an infectious energy. With her calm presence and piercing blue eyes, Rishae exuded wisdom beyond her years. "We will guide and protect you every step of the way," Sophia assured me, her voice steady and reassuring. "Together, we shall face any challenges that come our way."

As we left the comfort of Queen Alyssa's cottage, we set out on our daring quest. The Enchanted Mountains loomed before us, their majestic peaks reaching the heavens. I felt renewed determination and a sense of purpose with each step. The journey to the Crystal Caverns would be difficult, but I knew I couldn't falter. I had to succeed, not only for the sake of my unborn child but for the legacy of love and resilience that my family had fought so hard to uphold. We ventured towards the Enchanted Mountains, our hearts intertwined and fates entwined with the fairy realm's magic. The path ahead was arduous, but hope blazed within us like a guiding light, pushing us forward.

Little did I know that the trials awaiting us in the Crystal Caverns would test not only my strength but also the bonds of friendship and the power of love itself. But no matter the challenges, I was determined to press on for my child's safety and the promise of a future where curses would be broken and happy endings would prevail. I couldn't help but feel a surge of anxiety as I stood at the entrance of the Crystal Caverns. The weight of my unborn child's future rested heavily on my shoulders. I knew that to give my baby a long and prosperous life; I had to find the Tear of Serenity and break the curse that had befallen our family.

My mother, Joanna, stood faithfully behind me, her eyes filled with motherly concern. She understood the importance of this journey and offered me her unwavering support. Together, we took a deep breath and stepped into the cavern, ready to confront whatever challenges awaited us. The walk through the cavern, filled with jagged crystals and shimmering stalactites, was treacherous. The air felt heavy with anticipation, almost as if the cavern held its breath, waiting to see if I would succeed in my mission. As we ventured deeper into the darkness, I could hear faint voices of confusion and despair from the shadows. But I refused to let them distract me. I knew I had to silence those voices and press forward into the realm of curse-breaking.

Finally, our feet led us out of the cave on the other side, revealing a vast chamber bathed in an eerie red glow. Before us stood the Red Witch, her presence commanding and powerful. She waved her hands when she saw me, a knowing smile on her lips. "Welcome, Princess of the Dragon and Queen of the Werewolves," the Red Witch greeted, her voice filled with curiosity and amusement. "What brings you to my realm?"

I took a deep breath, summoning every ounce of determination within me. "I am on a mission to save my child," I declared, my voice steady despite the nerves threatening to unravel me. "I seek the Tear of Serenity to break the curse that looms over my family."

The Red Witch raised an eyebrow, studying me intently. "The path you've chosen is not easy," she mused, her voice tinged with warning and admiration. "But to gain something, you must be willing to give something precious in return." I thought, O, not my child, but my mother stepped forward, a glimmer of hesitation in her eyes. She withdrew a crystal bracelet with a teardrop from her pocket, shimmering with memories and love. The teardrop bracelet my father had given her long ago symbolised their eternal bond. The Red Witch hummed, her eyes fixed upon the precious teardrop bracelet. "A sacrifice indeed," she murmured. "Now, there is one more favour I must ask." She called forth Queen Alyssa, who appeared with an air of regality. "My Queen, I require a favour from you," the Red Witch said, her voice carrying a weight of urgency. "Assure that my story continues, that the destiny of these people is not left unfinished." Queen Alyssa nodded, understanding the gravity of the request. "I promise, the story shall not end here," she vowed, her voice filled with determination. "Portia's journey will reach its rightful conclusion." With that assurance, the Red Witch turned back to me. "Queen Portia, you have proven your worthiness," she declared, her voice revealing a hint of admiration. "The Tear of Serenity awaits you deeper within the caverns. But be warned, the trials ahead will test your courage and resilience. I allow you to find what you seek and break the curse that binds your family."

As I walked further into the Crystal Caverns, I couldn't help but feel a surge of hope. Though challenges lay ahead, I was fueled by a newfound determination to give my child a future and hope. The tears and sacrifices made along this journey would not be in vain. I would find the curse-breaker and unlock the path to a brighter tomorrow for my kingdom with a brand new king for the future generation of Poland.
