Chapter 63: Chapter Sixty-Three

Olivia

A week before the wedding.

I am exhausted. Nobody tells you how planning a wedding takes from you. It's worse in my case. I have more than the wedding to worry about.

The pregnancy.

The organising of the house.

The wedding.

An overprotective fiance.

Although I haven't been doing much, Jason wont allow me. I'm not even allowed to talk about the wedding. Everything goes through him. And that's even worse. He's been this way since my incident two weeks ago. He doesn't even leave my side. I think he's more stressed than I am about the wedding but more so about my pregnancy.

Desiree couldn't come, she's only going to be able to arrive today, which makes me so happy and relieved. Mom would have been helping, and she is, just not that much. She's stuck taking care of London's child since Landon is out of town on business. She feels bad that she can't be here to take care of me. I'm not complaining though because just like Jason and Mrs Belle, she would be breathing down my throat.

Mrs Belle has been here for the whole time since I've been discharged. She's been like a mother. And although I do wish my mother was here, she's filled the space that I don't feel the absence of my mother. Oh but I hate it when they're together, they act like I'm a glass that is not supposed to break. And I am not a glass. But me being pregnant has made them to treat me like one.

Mom comes every other day when she is able to. At least Jason has set up a driver for her who takes her to and from home. Which makes me happy and has also made her very giddy.

Jason had to go to the office today for a check in. I've noticed how sitting still in the house bothers him. I had to set him free, actually I had to threaten him with sex so that he leaves. It's also the same as working, my fiance can't stop working even if he wanted to. He is addicted to working, he can't sit still otherwise if he doesn't. And then there are the conversations. All he talks about is work. Now he wants to start a new business because the current business is doing well and doesn't need his hand anymore.

I'm hoping that the babies coming will at least calm his mind down at least. That he'll be too busy with them to wonder about work. But then again, I guess it's a good thing and that it's something to keep him busy, work I mean.

My phone pings and I pick it up to read the new message I received. Desiree is asking for directions to the house, so I send her a my location and ask her if she needs a driver. I doubt she does though because she's always with bodyguards. But I wanted to ask just in case.

I'm sitting alone in the sitting area because I'm not allowed to go outside, rules by an overprotective fiance, whilst Mrs Belle is outside with the planner having wedding talk. They've put out the big tent that looks more like a house than a tent. That's all I know. Nobody is telling me anything and I'm stressing more than before because I'm wondering if they're doing everything in the way I want it to be.

I decide to call Jason because I need a stress reliever and he hasn't made love to me since the hospital, which is another thing that has my mind reeling. I'm always horny and wet but everytime I tell him that I want him, he comes up with an excuse about my being pregnant and safety.

As soon as he answers the phone I tell him to come home. "Why? What's going on?" He actually asks me like he cares, I mean I know he does but I'm angry right now.

I start pretending to cry, "Please come home. I miss you." As soon as a tear rolls down my face though, I know for sure that I'm really crying. I feel a lodge on my chest and it hurts. It has been so long since I cried. And these pregnancy hormones are not making it any easier. I drop the phone and put it next to me and I cry because I need to let it out. There's no one to hear or see me from here except for the camera's Jason put in place, which I know he has eyes on. I'm hoping that is not what he's doing right now though.

A minute or so later, I feel an arm around my shoulder and being pulled to a soft pillow of Mrs Belle's body. And just that move makes me ball out even more. Quietly, without a word, she lets me cry. She doesn't tell me not to cry or even try to console me. I cry like that until I feel that I've had my fill and I start to cool down. Once I've calmed down, she gets up and goes to the kitchen and comes back with a glass of milk.

"I tried to talk to him, you know. Told him that you sitting on your ass all day will have a toll on you too. But he wouldn't listen." She tells me watching me take a sip.

"Yes well, you know how stubborn he is." I reply. I also tried to talk to him, several times infact but he wouldn't listen. So I just stopped.

"Well let's also be stubborn then. Finish up and let's go take a walk outside." And just like that, my when mood lifts up.

But just after stepping out, his car pulls over. He steps out and walks straight to me and takes me in his arms. "I'll take it from here, thank you Mrs Belle. Come."

"I'm sorry. I know I've been acting like an ass lately baby, but I'm scared." He admits to me after we have gone further from Mrs Belle.

"What happened to communicating?" I ask him, I can't help it. "Jason I'm also scared." I stop walking then and turn to look at him.

I'm hit by the expression on his face. I see actual fear in his eyes, I also see a very tired man. And I start to wonder if he was really sleeping when he was laying on the bed besides me at night. I raise my hand and touch his cheek.

"We're a team, Jason. We talk and discuss. We don't dictate.' I tell him and he turns his head and kisses my palm then takes my hand in his and starts walking us.

"Do you want to talk to the planner?" He asks me after a few paces.

"I want us to go sleep." I say to him.

I'm not tired, not at all. But he is. As we walk towards the house again, I decide then that I am going to start making sure that he gets his sleep.
