Chapter 44

**Amy's POV**

My head was killing me, that was the first thing I had noticed when I started waking up. It was as if someone had smacked me over the head repeatedly with a hammer. Whimpering in pain, I tried to slowly opened my eyes. My right eye felt as if it was close to being swollen shut and right above the eyebrow felt funny. I groaned as I slowly lifted my fingers to feel the area and winced in pain as I felt a cut was on the swollen area. There was still a bit of dizziness in my head as I slowly pushed myself up on the bed in a sitting position. It only took a few seconds of me looking around the unfamiliar room and noticing the blood on my shirt before I started panicking. Where the hell am I? How the hell did I end up here, wherever here is?

"Oh you're awake, for a couple minutes there I was starting to worry if you had slipped into a coma." Seagal said coming from out of what must be a bathroom with a damp towel in hand.

Seeing him, I started remembering what happened a few minutes before I past out. Knowing that I was now stuck- God knows where this was- with him in this room where he brought me, spiked my fear higher.

"W-where the hell am I!?" I winced again when the stabbing and throbbing pain in my head and injured eyebrow came on stronger.

"You cracked the top of your eyebrow opened and knocked yourself out all because you were being stubborn." he said approaching me near the bed with the towel still in hand causing me to scoot back further away from him. "You know things don't have to be like this. Let me help you with that cut on..."

"I don't want your help you sick shit! Where am I? Where have you taken me!?" I screamed at him trying to ignore the intense pain.

"See, that's the reason why we can't get along babe. You're too feisty and hot tempered." Seagal responded throwing down the towel at the edge of the bed. "All you need to do is stay quiet and corporate with me and we'll be good."

"What do you want!? What the hell is wrong with you!? I want to go home? Why can't you leave me the hell alone!?" I screamed at him. "You're a crazy piece of shit you know?"

"See that mouth of yours, is what's going to get you in trouble. All you had to do was just be calm and we wouldn't have this problem. You wouldn't have that split eyebrow and headache." Seagal said to me. "From day one all you needed to do was relax and corporate, but the minute Alfredo sent you to me I knew you were going to have to be put in your place."

"I told you I don't know what the hell you're talking about! I've never met you before until at that business function."

"Save it Peaches. I may not have seen your face but your voice and that body of yours is still fresh in my memory. I know it was you no matter how you try to deny it." Seagal replied.

"You're a sick and perverted old man..."

"Don't act all high and holy like you have morals either. Is that what this is about? You won't submit or be with me because of age?" He asked. "Is that why you gladly graced Ackles bed? Because he's younger and probably have a few more dollars than I have now? Is this about the money because I can assure you that if it's money you need for me to get you in bed once again, I still have that."

"You're disgusting! A disgusting pig!" I shoot at him as I watched the door to exit.

How was I going to get out of here if he was actually in front the exit? In order for me to get out, I'd have to pass him and I know he wasn't just going to allow me to pass.

"What do you want Seagal?" I asked hoping that maybe he'd grow some senses and let me leave.

"You know what I want baby, just a little taste once again. You know you can have the best of both worlds. I can show you a good time, you get quite a considerable amount of cash to buy yourself any nice thing you like and you won't have to worry about Ackles finding out if you're still warming his bed." Seagal said taking a step closer to me on the bed.

"No! You're out of your damn mind. Never! You sick bastard, stay away from me!"

"Alright, now this game of yours is getting pretty old. It was fun at first but now you're just downright annoying by playing hard to get. We can do this the easy way or the hard way." Seagal said lunging towards me on the bed.

I managed to scoot back away from him and slipped off the bed trying to run towards the door. I was unfortunately not swift enough and the fact that my head was still dizzy and killing me, Seagal grabbed me and threw me back on the bed using his body to pin mine down. I tried fighting, kicking and screaming but he was much stronger than I was and my attempts were futile. He had also muffled my screams as one of his hand covered my mouth. His hand was over my mouth in such a way that I couldn't get to bite him even though I tried.

"I guess it's the hard way then." Seagal said breathing hard from trying to keep me still. "I don't understand why you're fighting it when its something you're more than used to."

I still continued struggling and screaming as I felt disgusted when Seagal started trying to kiss my neck. I was squirming and struggling trying to get away as his disgusting lips left wet kisses on my jaw and neck. This man was so vile and disgusting and him being on top of me pinning me down had me worrying about the fact that I didn't seem to be getting away and no one was going to help me. Was I seriously going to be violated and defiled right now? And with him putting all this weight on me and what he wanted to do, wouldn't that hurt my baby? At this point, tears were pouring out my eyes.

"Stop fighting and this doesn't have to be so bad. You've allowed me a taste before so why fight now?" Seagal asked as he pulled away from my neck and tried unbuttoning my shirt blouse.

Screaming and kicking still not at all ready to give up fighting, my knee managed to hit Seagal in the groin causing him to temporarily let go off me and his hand slipped away from my mouth as a result of the pain of my knee connecting his male parts. I tried letting out a louder scream hoping someone would be nearby, would hear and came to my rescue. But that was short lived as the impact of my knee hadn't connected hard enough to get him off him and in a fetal position.

Seagal seemed to be angrier by what just happened because I earned another slap across my face before the shirt buttons were being ripped off and opened, exposing my bra and chest to him. He pinned me down once again.

"So...damn beautiful..." Seagal mumbled out between placing disgusting kisses on the top of my chest. "Don't... think you...can...stop this. I told you stop fighting and...enjoy this. You're going... going to enjoy... this and not tell anyone about it unless you want to get your head and skull crack open."

Oh no, please God. This couldn't be happening to me right now!

I was wearing leggings and when I felt Seagal gripping them and trying to pull, I started trying to fight much harder now. If I was going to be defiled right now by this disgusting man who may caused me to lose my baby, I was going down fighting. Maybe if in all my years I had tried fighting back, most of what happened to me wouldn't have happened but I always just sit back like a weakling and cried. It was getting difficult for Seagal to keep me pinned, my mouth covered- to muffled my screams- and pull off my leggings at the same time. I wasn't making it easy for him. Somehow he had managed to pull the tights somewhat down my thighs and must've been trying to pull his pants zipper at the the same time because one of my hand sprung free and I saw a lamp on the bedside table nearby. With all my strength that I had left after fighting him so long, I grabbed the lamp and smashed it across his head.

"Ow shit!" He cursed rolling off me and falling off the side of the bed onto the floor.

It was obvious that he had gotten a good hit in the head because he was on the floor disoriented and not being able to get up same time. Even though I was still in shock and panic, the adrenaline pumping through me caused me to react swifter than I'd usually would. I quickly pulled back up the leggings before grabbing the other lamp on the other bedside table and smashed it also in his head while he was still on the floor. He went down again groaning but although he seemed to be completely out of it, he still wasn't completely unconscious.

Hopping off the bed, I grabbed another standing lamp that was in the room and swung it over his head once again. When he seemed to be knocked out, I still didn't stop. For extra measures, I hit him again and again over the head and then across the back. I've had enough of this abuse and people trying to push me around. I needed to learn to fight back, especially now that it wasn't just me. I had an unborn child to protect. I hit him in the head one more time before completely dropping the lamp stick to the floor in panic. He was no longer moving and I wasn't sure if he was dead or not considering the amount of blows I had given him and the blood now all over his head and the floor. I was about to start hyperventilating any moment but I knew I needed to try keep myself together for a little longer and get out of there immediately.

Walking backwards, not wanting to take my eyes of Seagal unmoving body less he got up and attacked me again, I tried making my way to the door as quick as I could before I fainted or something. All this was just a bit too much for me. The minute my hand was about to reach out to open the knob, the door flew opened causing me to let out a bloodcurdling scream from the fright that I was going to be harmed further by whoever on the other side.

"Amy!" I was suddenly crushed into a hug into the chest of someone whom I immediately knew who that person was.

"Oh my God. Lucas?" I breathe out pulling back to look at his face.

He and Gio was here with guns out. No one had any idea how glad I was to see him. I could hardly believe it, Lucas was there. How did he know where to find me? He actually came to save me. Overwhelmed by everything, I couldn't help crying as I closed my eyes burying my head into his chest and wrapped my arms around Lucas for dear life. I didn't want to be anywhere else but right where I was in his arms being comforted by him and his voice.

"You're okay. You're okay, baby." Lucas tried comforting me as he hugged me back and kept kissing my head. "I got you baby, you're alright."

"I-I'm s-so sorry." I cried.

"It's okay. It's okay." Lucas chanted as he tried comforting me.

"I shouldn't have told you I w-wanted to leave. He k-kidnapped me- he tried to..."

"Baby it's okay now. Shh." Lucas said as I pulled my head away from his chest and kissed me on the lips. "Don't worry, you're safe now."

For a moment, Lucas just held me as I cried for a while. Lucas pulled away before taking off his jacket and wrapping it around my shoulders before pulling me back into his chest.

"Did he touch you?" Lucas asked me through clenched teeth. I know he was just trying to keep calm for my sake considering I was still so traumatized.

"No, he ripped my shirt open then tried to... he tried to rape me but I was able to hit him in the head with the lamp. I-I think..."

"It's alright." Lucas said kissing me on the forehead.

I had calmed down a little more now by Lucas's presence. I turned back to look at Seagal still not moving on the floor with Gio standing over him with an unreadable expression.

"Is he...is he dead?" I whispered the last word out nervously. "I've hit him in the head multiple..."

As much as I was so mad at him and it felt exhilarating at the time hitting him, I just didn't know if I'd be able to be at peace if I found out I actually killed someone, no matter how much he may have deserved it.

"No, he's just unconscious now." Gio responded before looking at Lucas.

"We need to get you out of here and let Ankell take a look at you and give you something to ease the pain." Lucas said as he took my face in his hands running his thumb over my cheek as he looked at my now bruised face.

I could see the vein ticking in the side of his forehead and I knew he was beyond pissed just by how his jaw clenched. I also had a major concern than my face, I guess it was time I actually told Lucas right now.

"Lucas I have something to tell you." I said to him nervously. " I uhm, I'm scared. I- I may also need to go see a perinatologist or something. I'm... I'm pregnant."

I was so ready to see the surprise shock and disbelief on his face or to witness his wrath being unleashed on me but I was the one who got the surprise when none of that came.

"I know." Lucas responded. "That's why I came to find you."

"But... I don't understand. How?" I asked in shocked.

"I was informed by someone who figured out that's why you wanted to runaway." He said to me.

What? This didn't make any sense.

He knew? Who could've told him? Could it be my mom? And why was he not lashing out at me?

I looked at Gio as if expecting some surprise from at least him then but received none. By the look on his face, I realized that somehow he must have been the one who figured it out and told Lucas. When I was thinking that mom was the only other person who knew about my pregnancy, I was wrong.

"A-are you mad at me? I never planned for it to happened. We always used protection whenever we..."

"I'm not mad Amy."

"But..."

"We'll discuss that further later but now let's get you out of here and get you medical assistant." Lucas said to me.

"But what about..."

"Don't worry about him. He'll get the necessary help he needs and his punishment." Gio was the one who responded. "Now go. Go make sure the baby is alright."

Lucas wrapped his arm around me as he turned for us to leave. My body was so drained of energy and exhausted that I felt like I could barely walk. Lucas noticed and stopped.

"Don't worry, I got you." He said lifting me up and carrying me out as I rested my head on his chest with my eyes closed.

The ride home from the hospital was extremely silent between Lucas and I. I had been practically patched up since the split in my eyebrow had to get stitches, it was a bit deeper than we had originally thought. I was so scared when they were checking up on me. I kept worrying about what if Seagal madness had somehow harmed my baby. Luckily, I was cleared and the doctor told me everything looked alright and my baby was doing well.

Lucas hadn't brought up any discussion the whole ride back to his apartment and I was worried deep down about that. Was he still so shocked over the revelation? That he was buying time before saying anything to me about it or was he somehow giving me time to come to terms with everything that had happened? I didn't know what it was but I just really wanted to get rid of the tension.

"Lucas, I'm sorry." I said the minute we were inside the apartment.

It was like all the silence had made me started to feel guilty about not telling him and trying to leave without doing so.

"Why didn't you tell me Amy?" Lucas asked me.

"I didn't know how to." I told him truthfully.  "I was scared. I didn't know how you would react. I don't understand how it could have happened when we've always been careful every time. And I didn't want you to think that I planned this."

"So instead you decided to be distant then try to run off while you're carrying my child?" Lucas asked me angrily. "You didn't think to tell me? Or to hear how I would feel about the whole situation?"

"Lucas I'm sorry. I was scared. I thought you would be mad." I said to him, wringing my hands together nervously. "I know we're not exactly in a relationship or anything and I didn't think you were ready to commit. I didn't think you would want a child to be thrown up on you. I was scared of telling anyone. I told mom and she tried convincing me to tell you but I just didn't think you'd be ready to hear such news. I didn't want you to feel like you're obligated to take this child and..."

"Amy, I wish you would stop making assumptions and guesses about how you think I feel or I'm going to feel about this." Lucas said to me. "You can't know what I'd think or feel. No one can know but me. I had the right to know. You should have told me from the beginning and let me be the judge and decide how I feel about hearing that I have a kid on the way. I hate when people judge me and think they know how I'm going to react to things before giving me the chance."

"I'm sorry. I wanted to tell you. I really did but I was so scared. I know how you feel about really caring about people. You told me people who you love and care about always get hurt and that was why you tend to push people away. I thought you'd feel the same way if I told you I was pregnant." I said to him. "I didn't want to cause you any further issues and I didn't want you to snap at me, so I figured that if I left, things would be better. I'm sorry."

"This news, it's something that I'm still processing. The thought of becoming a father never came to me before because I've always tried to keep out certain thoughts. I know being in this line of work can be dangerous for those who are close to me, so I never entertained any thought of having a family before. " Lucas said to me. "But not because I have issues and never thought of becoming a father, doesn't mean that I don't want or won't accept the baby. No matter what the circumstances that led to this, it's still my responsibility and I never run away from responsibilities. Just because I have constant fear of losing people close to me or them getting hurt, that does not mean not I won't try to protect those important to me with my life. Knowing that I have a child on the way, I'd kill anyone who tries to harm him or you. You know how I feel about you Amy and if you had told me sooner, then what happened today would never happened because..."

"I know." I said before throwing my arms around his waist. "I'm just sorry that I didn't have the courage to tell you about it sooner and you had to find out like this. I'm a coward. "

"It's alright." Lucas replied hugging me back. "As much as I'd like to be, I can't be mad at you right now. I'm just glad I found out before you ran away or before anything more serious had happened to both of you. I'm glad you were able to finally stand up for yourself. "

"Lucas, I'm sorry about everything." I apologized again.

"Stop apologizing now, I told you it's alright. You're forgiven." Lucas said to me. "So how long has it been?"

"I found out a few weeks ago, but I'm nine weeks pregnant." I told him.

"Over two months?" Lucas asked pulling back to look down on me.

"Yeah," I nodded nervously. "Please don't be mad."

"Amy I'm not mad. Surprise or you could say shock, but I'm not mad." Lucas said to me. "You don't need to worry about how I feel about this baby or fret that I don't want it. I do and I'll do whatever it takes to care for both you and him or her. I'll love you both all the way."

"Uh w-what?" I asked shocked at what Lucas had just said.

"You heard me correctly Amy. I love you, and I already know I love the child you're carrying." Lucas replied.

"B-but how...you can't be... How are you sure that you love me? You can't possibly..."

"Amy, stop overthinking things. I said I love you because I know how I feel about you and I don't say things I don't mean impulsively. I know what I said and I do mean every word." Lucas said to me.

"Lucas, I love you too." I confessed. "And I have for a while now. You always make me feel safe and let me know that life is actually worth living."

For the first time in a long time, I saw what was a real genuine smile from Lucas before him kissing me.

"Even though this is still so strange to me, I think we should go get you and my little bambino something to eat." Lucas said to me. "And then let you rest."

"Okay," I nodded as we walked towards the kitchen "Is bambino..."

"Baby. Bambino is baby in Italian." Lucas informed me.

I couldn't help wondering if there was certain hormone called over protective hormone that is released in the male species whenever the female informed them that they are pregnant. Ever since the whole kidnapping and baby revelation, Lucas had been extremely over protective. And I meant even in the apartment. He wouldn't allow me to leave even when I told him that I was feeling fine now and my eyebrow wasn't even hurting that bad. He still insisted that I should stay home and in bed.

Mom, Katie and Nora and anyone else who wanted to see me had to come over to his apartment to visit. I had to cancel my flight to Barbados and let my family know that I had a little accident and wouldn't be able to fly over as yet but I was still going to visit them soon. I even told them about the pregnancy. I didn't think it made sense to try hiding it any longer since Lucas knew and accepted it. I was surprised to know that they were happy for me and still couldn't wait for me to visit them and share the news with my other relatives that I had yet to meet.

Mom got so emotional when she saw me and heard about what had happened to me. She couldn't stop blame herself for marrying my stepfather because he was the reason why all this happened. It took some time before I was able to calm her down and told her it wasn't her fault.

Lucas had been so sweet, extra sweet now. It was as if things got to a whole new level now and we were officially a couple. It was just a bit weird for me with the whole serious relationship thing and about to be parents in a couple months. It was just so surreal.

Lucas also promised me that as soon as I was fully recovered from the past ordeals, he would let both Mom and I visit our family in Barbados. I told him I would also love if he would come along with us and he promised he would.

I was curled up on the couch watching TV with a bag of chips in hand when we were made aware of someone at the front door. Greta was the one to get it since I was still supposed to be resting. I was surprised when I saw her came back with Adena.

"Hi," she said to me as she was in the living room.

"What are you doing here?" I asked her instead of greeting her back.

"I'll leave you two to talk." Greta announced before leaving us alone.

"Can I sit?" She asked me.

"Sure," I nodded towards the other sofa. "You still haven't told me why you're here Adena."

"I just... I heard what happened to you a few days ago." She started.

"Does everyone knows about that?" I asked. "So what? Have you come here to let me know that you're sorry he didn't finished taking care of me?"

"What? No of course not." Adena responded looking at me like I was crazy. "Amy, I'm not here to fight okay? I just wanted to say that I'm sorry to hear and see how you're doing . I'm glad you're okay."

"Really? Are you serious?" I asked surprised. "I thought you hated me."

"I don't hate you Amy, even though I wanted to because I was mad at you about this whole Lucas thing but I'll get over it." She replied. "You were right. I don't own Lucas and he's obviously into you and not me so I'll have to accept that. And the fact that we are sisters, I know I've been somewhat a little bitchy..."

"A little?" I asked raising a brow.

"Alright, maybe a lot bitchy but I'd like if we could get pass this and get along." Adena said to me.

"For real now? Is this really happening or am I dreaming? Did you seriously just said that?" I asked shocked. "You must be playing with me right now."

"Why is it so hard to believe that I'm not a total bitch and I'd like us to get along?" Adena asked me.

"Oh I don't know, maybe the fact that you've been so cold towards me since you saw Lucas and I and all those name calling before? It is hard to believe that you've just decided to change how you feel about me overnight."

"I said I'm sorry. Really, it's just that I've had this major crush on Lucas since forever and I always thought that one day he was going to ask me out or something. Then you came along and I found out he was seeing you." Adena told me. "I was mad. I felt like I was betrayed or something especially since I had told you how I felt about him and asked if you guys were involved and you denied it. But I'm not going to hold that against you. I honestly do want us to get along and I know Dad and Carter would appreciate that too."

"Well I already told you I had nothing against you and as long as you don't keep with the name calling and trying to put me down, we'll be good." I said to her. "So if you're serious about this that you say, I'd like it if we could get along as well. I never had any siblings before and it could be nice getting along like sisters do."

"I meant what I said Amy. And I am sorry for the way I've behaved and the things I've said to you." Adena said to me before stretching her hand out to me. "Can we call a truce?"

"Yeah, truce." I smiled at her before shaking her hand.

"It feels so good getting the hard feelings off my back. Holding a grudge is exhausting." Adena let out a sigh of relief. "So, are you alright? You didn't get hurt too bad?"

"I'm okay now. I just received a few bruises and the cut above my eyebrow which had to get stitches but differently, I'm feeling better. I'm good now and my baby is alright as well so that's the best part."

"What?" Adena asked eyes wide with surprise. "Y-you're pregnant?"

"Yeah," I nodded with a smile. "I'm over two months pregnant..."

"Wow. I had no idea, I guess I'm going to be an Aunt then huh?" Adena asked to which I nodded. "Wow that's amazing... Congratulations!"
