Chapter 34. Resisting Raphael’s Violation
"Uhm!" Her lips were once again ravaged by Raphael’s bite, and Jacintha let out a cry. She realized her pants had been pulled down by Raphael, and a wave of terror at the prospect of being violated overwhelmed her.
Jacintha struggled desperately. "No…"
She no longer wanted to be Raphael’s sex doll. She didn’t want him trampling on her dignity any further. Their deal, was over!
Raphael sneered, "Relax. Today, every expense, including your current sexual service fee. I’ll have Lucas send it to you!"
With that, he violently forced her legs apart.
Jacintha completely lost control of her emotions. "Get off! Don’t touch me! I don’t want your money!"
She screamed like someone deranged, struggling against the grip he had on her arms. Her legs kicked frantically, her whole body trembling, her face ghostly pale.
Raphael touched the corner of her eye, now soaked with tears. Then, he suddenly stopped, his movements frozen, as a nameless fury surged within him.
He abruptly grabbed Jacintha, flung open the car door, and shoved her out. "Get lost! What a mood killer!"
Jacintha collapsed onto the cold ground, gasping for breath, her body curling up like a shrimp. The emotional upheaval made her stomach cramp violently. So painful she didn’t have the strength to sit up.
Raphael told the driver, Mike, to return to the car and ordered him to drive.
The driver glanced into the rearview mirror, hesitantly asking, "Then… what about Jacintha, sir?"
Raphael’s expression turned terrifying, his voice icy. "Whether she lives or dies, none of your business!"
The driver turned pale with fear, immediately slammed the gas pedal, and drove off, leaving Jacintha behind.
The night was like a thick fog, enveloping the entire capital of Velbruck.
The car sped along the wide road, its interior filled with a stifling silence. Not a sound was heard. Sitting in the back seat, Raphael maintained a cold expression.
His brow furrowed, a trace of frustration between his eyebrows. For some unknown reason, the image of Jacintha collapsing to the ground, curling up in fear, kept flashing before his eyes. He couldn’t shake it off, and it left his heart in turmoil.
A few minutes later, Raphael suddenly spoke. “Turn back!”
Mike was startled. Not catching it clearly, he asked, “What was that, sir?”
Raphael, a bit impatient now, said, “Turn the car around. Find her!”
Understanding immediately, Mike made a U-turn at the next junction to bring Raphael back to where they had left Jacintha. However, by the time they returned, Jacintha was no longer there. Raphael got out of the car, scanning the surroundings, and spotted Jacintha standing under a streetlight across the road, clutching her stomach.
Raphael’s brow furrowed even deeper. He took out his phone, ready to call Jacintha. Just then, a bus slowly came to a stop, blocking his view. When it moved on, Jacintha was gone.
Raphael’s face darkened as he tightened his grip on the phone.
Jacintha arrived home exactly at 10 PM. Mira, having returned from her evening classes, was sitting in the living room working on her university mock exam.
“Jacintha, is your stomach hurting again?” Seeing Jacintha’s pale face and the way she clutched her stomach, Mira immediately set her pen down and rushed over to help her.
Jacintha forced a smile. “I’m fine. It just hurts a little.”
“Lie down and rest for a bit.” Mira helped Jacintha to the sofa, then brought her some stomach medicine and a glass of water.
“I don’t need the medicine.” Jacintha chuckled helplessly, sipping half a glass of water to soothe her stomach. As her body began to relax, the pain slowly subsided.
At that moment, Cara finally replied to the message Jacintha had sent the day before: “I’ve reviewed the contract. There’s no issue. You can sign it. But what’s this about you and Mr. Wulfhart being publicly entangled on social media? What exactly is going on between the two of you?”
Jacintha said softly, "Cara, about Raphael… I really can’t go into the details with you. All I can say is, he hates me. This role he gave me. It’s like his final compensation for everything."
"Alright then, if you don’t want to talk about it, I won’t press you. I’ve managed you for years, but I haven’t been able to bring you any real opportunities. Please don’t hold it against me."
"Cara, I’ve never blamed you," Jacintha said sincerely.
Cara wasn’t a high-ranking executive in the company. She was just an ordinary manager, so the resources she controlled were limited. On top of that, she managed more than ten artists, none of whom were famous.
In the company, artists who received good opportunities either had the company backing them or fought for them on their own. As for Jacintha, she had no support, no network, and she refused to flatter investors or directors. Naturally, she was left out.
Fortunately, Cara had never treated Jacintha badly and would often get her some supporting roles.
Lately, Cara had been focusing on a new artist, rumor had it he was the chairman’s cousin. Cara poured all her energy into him and no longer had time for Jacintha.
After that, Cara sent Jacintha a brief message: "Do your best," and nothing more.
Before going to bed, Jacintha received a money transfer from Lucas.
Five hundred thousand dollars. The exact amount as the check she had previously refused from Raphael.

Half a month later, the Wulfhart Entertainment Group–funded medieval film The Crimson Crown officially started shooting. In the film, Jacintha played Sharon’s younger sister.
Before filming began, Jacintha had spent half a month diligently reading the script. She had memorized all her lines, and was even familiar with the lines of other characters. The wound on her face had scabbed over, leaving only two faint scars. Thankfully, they weren’t too visible or inflamed, and with makeup, they were completely unnoticeable.
Jacintha sat in the dressing room, looked at herself in the mirror, and let out a soft sigh of relief.
“Jacintha, you really do look a lot like Sharon,” the makeup artist exclaimed.
Next to Jacintha was a young actress who immediately spoke up, “Yes, yes, I was just about to bring that up. Jacintha, is it because you look so much like Sharon that the director cast you as her younger sister?”
