I watched from the corner of my eyes as Alexia tried to pick up herself from the bed. I am so stupid. Why would I even try to initiate something like that when I know that it would have a bigger impact on me? I sat down on my desk and tied my robe as I tried to still my emotions that were already going haywire.

Alexia adjusted her clothes before picking up the items to remove the already used bandage. She was shaking and I could tell that she was nervous.

She gently removed the used bandage and replaced it with fresh and clean ones. She discarded the bloodied ones before leaving my room quietly. She never spoke a single word to me before she left and I could tell that she was in a massive crisis just like I am.

The minute she exited my chambers, I laid down on my bed to sleep but even I know that sleeping is the last thing on my mind right now.

The next morning, Alexia only came in to serve my breakfast and change my bandages. She didn't say a single word to me and I couldn't blame her either.

It's hard to accept something as complicated as that. On the other hand, I was too weak because I haven't finished recuperating. My injuries were taking a little longer to heal. Well, I signed up for this when I refused to go to bed with Mica. It was my decision so I'll have to live with it.

Later in the evening, I decided to take a quiet walk on the palace grounds. I was tired of being cooped up in my chambers ever since I woke up. Asher hasn't come to pay me a visit and I know that it's because he's upset with me. I just hope that he talks to me first before deciding to unleash his wrath on Mica. She only acted on my orders and nothing else.

I walked past a few werewolf sentinels that were guarding the palace and they bowed their heads in greetings.

I inclined my head at their greeting before walking past them to the garden.

I am interrupted by loud gigglings coming from the other side of the garden.

I turn to see Alexia running about with another maid as they both laughed happily.

My lips stretched into a smile seeing how happy she is. She looks breathtaking like a wave of fresh air. She deserves to be happy especially after what happened last night. I watched her for a while until her eyes met mine. She stopped to look at me for a brief second.

I decide to head back to my chambers but I felt a sharp pain in my lower abdomen. Before I could tell what was going on, my legs gave way and I fell to the ground. All i saw before shutting my eyes was Alexia running towards me.

I groaned and stirred awake. Alexa was asleep at the edge of my bed. How long have I been gone?

I reached out to her and rubbed her hands. She opened her eyes and got up hastily.

"My lord" she whispered softly

"What happened to me?"

"You fell and your wounds reopened again. Why did you leave your chambers? You are weak. You're supposed to rest." She cautioned me.

"I was tired of sitting down here all day"

"You're really annoying you know?" She tell me angrily.

"Thank you for bringing me here. I owe you my life" I tell her sincerely. She blushes but quickly recovers.

The door swings open and Asher walks in. He has a scrowl on his face that depicts that he's in a black mood.

"Asher" I call out in a weak breath. I am already feeling tired and exhausted.

"Are you really planning on Killing yourself? First the meadow and now outside? What exactly is your problem?"

"I felt suffocated so I decided to take a walk."

"Again?? You're supposed to be healed by now. You didn't sleep with Mica did you?" Asher questions and I notice Alexia hide her face in embarrassment.

"I already told you that I cannot have sex with Mica. It's out of the question."

"Then who do you want then? Tell me and I'll have her in your chambers" Asher tells me. I turn to look at Alexia. She shifts her gaze as she tried to avoid the topic.

"No one Asher. I'll heal I promise. You don't have to worry yourself about me"

He lets out an exasperated breath.

"Alright. I have a meeting with the council so I'll see you afterwards."

"What's it about this time?" I asked when I notice how glum he looked.

"It's about taking a wife. The usual topic that has been flying around the palace" I notice Asher's eyes on Alexia and I see nothing but hatred registered in them. It's obvious that he doesn't like Alexia even though she is his mate.

"Have enough rest. I'll see you later" he mumbled before walking out of my chambers.

Alexia breathed out a sigh in relief.

"Were you scared?" I was forced to ask after seeing her reaction.

"After everything you said last night. I've been feeling restless. I've been called different names while growing up" she began with a pause "Some called me cursed and others called me mateless. They thought that I would die without a mate and then I met Asher and I was happy because I was finally the mate to a very powerful Alpha but then I began to feel things when I'm around you. I thought that i was mistaken so I ignored" she breathes out.

"But it began to grow intense but I doubted it. Why would the goddess give me this burden after rendering me mateless for years?"

"Alexia..."

"Have sex with me my Lord" she blurted out. My eyes popped open at that Statement.

"You're being delusional Alexia. I will never take advantage of you."

"You need to heal. I won't be able to forgive myself of something happens to you..."

"And Asher? What happens if he finds out?"

"He doesn't have to know. It's just for you to get better and after that, we're through"

"No" I replied fiercely. "I never do that" I said with an air of finality while she just looked on.
