Chapter 15 Bad Day
Amelia
Getting back from doctor Alex Darlington's house all I wanted to do was to get some sleep due to how tired I was.
After taking my bathe, I lay down on my bed and was about to drift to sleep when I heard a loud knock on my door.
"Who the hell is that?" I groaned angrily as I stood up from the bed and walked to the door to check who it was.
"Opening the door, I saw the only person who I didn't want to see at the very moment standing in front of the door while grinning ear to ear.
"Bestie!!" She screamed as she rushed towards me and hugged me tightly but unlike before I didn't hug her back. It didn't take long before she noticed that something was wrong as she slowly stepped back to look at my face that was already contorted in a deep frown.
"Come on Lia, don't tell me that you are still angry at me," she said to me as she saw how I was frowning.
"Of course Erica I'm still angry at you, or were you expecting me not to be angry at you after you failed to be present at my graduation?" I said to her while feigning to be angry and with that she sighed heavily.
"Come on Lia, I thought I have explained to you why I couldn't make it to your graduation, there was an emergency at the hospital and there was no one to cover for me, if not I would have surely been at your graduation.
I knew you would still be angry at me, that's why I decided to get your favourite wine while coming, so that we can celebrate at your house here," she said to me as she squeezed my cheeks and with that I pushed her hand away before turning my face away as I didn't want her to see me smiling.
If there was one thing Erica was very good at, it was making people smile, so no matter how angry you are, she will surely find a way to make you smile and that was one the reasons why she's one of the best doctor's in the hospital where she works.
"And you think that buying my favourite wine is going to calm my anger," I asked her while feigning to be angry.
"Well we will find out soon. Can I come in at least?" She asked me with a warm smile and that was when I realised that we were still standing at the doorstep.
"Yes you can," I said to her as I left the way for her to come inside and with that I closed the door before following her from behind.
"Getting to the sitting room, she brought out the wine she was talking about which was indeed my favourite wine and dropped it on the table before making her to the kitchen and coming out some minutes later with two glasses and some ice blocks.
"How was your day by the way?" I asked her as she was about to open the wine.
"Stressful as usual. I thought you wouldn't ask at the first place, or is it because of the wine," she teased me as she handed me the glass of wine and with that I glared angrily at her before collecting it from her.
"Shouldn't have asked at the first place," I mumbled with a deep frown as before taking a sip of the wine.
"Come on girl, I was just teasing you, she said to me as she sat down beside me and took a sip of her own wine.
"Congratulations by the way, you are now a certified medical doctor just like me, I'm so proud of you," she said to me with a proud and sincere tone.
"Thanks so much Erica, for everything," I said to her with a warm smile.
"Don't mention it bestie," she said to me before taking a sip of her wine. "So tell me how was the graduation?" She asked me.
"Terrible," I said to her and immediately she furrowed her brows at me.
"What happened that made it terrible?" She asked me as she dropped her glass on the table and faced me with a concerned gaze.
"I found my mate," I said to her and immediately she widened her eyes in surprise.
"What!" She exclaimed with her eyes still wide in surprise.
"You heard me right Erica, I found my mate," I said to her as her eyes was still wide in surprise.
"Then why the hell did you tell me that the graduation was terrible or wasn't your mate handsome?" She asked me with a furrowed brows.
"Of course he was," I said to her and with that she furrowed her brows more at me.
"Or does he have a little dck," she asked me in a whisper and with that I glared angrily at her.
"You naughty girl, I didn't even sleep with him, so how the hell was I supposed to know if he has a little dck or not?" I asked her as I gave her a light tap on the shoulder.
"Well I don't know after all you are the one who said that your graduation was terrible because you found your mate, or did he reject you?" She pressed on.
"No he didn't, I'm rather the one who wants to reject him," I said to her in reply.
"What! That's a joke right?" She asked me in disbelief.
"No, it's not," I said to her with a serious tone.
" And why the hell would you want to reject your fated mate Amelia, you know it's very difficult for we in the human world to find our fated mates and the moon goddess was kind enough to give you one despite the fact that you want to reject him or is he a vampire or wizard?" Erica asked me and with that I groaned in frustration as I was already getting fed up with her weird imaginations.
"Come on Erica, enough with your weird imaginations, he's not a wizard of vampire, he's a werewolf just like us, and you are even familiar with the person," I said to her in reply.
"Really?" She asked me.
"Yes, my mate is no other than the famous Dr. Alex Darlington," I said to her and with that she widened her eyes in surprise.
"Really? So when are you rejecting him so that I can finally him?" She asked me with a wicked grin.
"What?" I asked her in disbelief.
