Chapter 32 Mr. Brown
"Did you see me push her?" Isabella looked at her coldly and asked back, "You didn't even see what happened, yet you raised your hand to hit me?"
"You..." Olivia was left speechless.
She stared at Isabella with wide eyes. Isabella's cool gaze was full of defiance and untamed wildness—a sharpness and edge she had never seen before.
"Mrs. Taylor." Indigo watched the scene unfold before her, her face showing extreme displeasure. She asked coldly with a stern expression, "This rude and vulgar girl—is she someone you brought?"
"I'm sorry, Ms. Indigo Rodriguez. She's the housekeeper's child. She kept begging to come here, so I had no choice but to..."
"The housekeeper's child?" Indigo laughed in disbelief.
She glanced at Isabella, her eyes full of mockery. "Mrs. Taylor, you actually brought a housekeeper's child to my birthday party? What were you thinking?"
Indigo's words immediately caused a stir among the crowd.
"What? Has Mrs. Taylor lost her mind? Bringing a housekeeper's child to a place like this."
"Isn't this just causing trouble for the Rodriguez Family?"
"Exactly. How could she bring such trash to a place like this? I knew this girl had no class—turns out she's not even a rich person's child."
"..."
Olivia listened to everyone's criticism, her face growing darker and darker, her fingers trembling.
She had never been so embarrassed.
Humiliating.
Absolutely humiliating!
She knew it—she shouldn't have brought this vulgar, stupid thing to such an occasion.
Unable to bear it any longer, Olivia quickly stepped forward to grab Isabella. "Come with me right now. Stop embarrassing yourself here."
"Don't touch me."
Isabella avoided Olivia's touch. "I can leave on my own."
She had already found this party boring beyond belief.
She had wanted to leave for a while now.
"Wait!"
Indigo looked down at the girl's retreating figure, a mocking smile playing on her lips. "Leave? Where do you think you're going? You broke the birthday gift my sister gave me, and you think you can just walk away?"
The people around looked at Isabella with strange expressions.
"How can she be like this? Causing trouble and then just leaving?"
"That expensive crystal crown, just smashed like that? Not even an apology."
"Absolutely no manners."
Isabella turned around, her dark eyes looking directly at Indigo, the corner of her mouth curling up. "Is the Rodriguez Family short on money?"
Indigo was actually stunned by the girl's dark and forceful gaze.
It took her several seconds to respond. "Of course not."
Why was she asking this?
Isabella looked at her, eyes narrowing slightly. "If you're not short on money, then why are you trying to extort me?"
"It was clearly Abigail who wasn't watching where she was going and bumped into me, yet you're blaming me."
Isabella paused, her casual gaze moving between Indigo and Abigail, lowering her voice to spit out a few words: "How shameless."
Indigo froze.
She couldn't believe it.
What was wrong with this person?
A housekeeper's child, someone of such low status—where did she get the nerve to curse at her in the Rodriguez Family's own territory?
Indigo's expression instantly turned ugly. No one had ever made her this angry before.
She immediately looked coldly at the crowd, her voice becoming sharp and uncontrolled. "This bitch says our Abigail bumped into her. Did anyone see it?"
"Who saw Abigail bump into her? Speak up and let everyone judge."
Everyone could feel Indigo's fury through the air, and no one dared to make a sound.
One was the Rodriguez Family's daughter, the other a lowly housekeeper's child.
The hierarchy was clear.
Some people even looked away directly, afraid of being noticed by Indigo and getting dragged into it.
No one wanted to offend the Rodriguez Family. Besides, everyone who came to this birthday party today wanted to build good relations with the Rodriguez Family. Even if it were the Taylor Family's daughter standing there, it wouldn't help, let alone Isabella who was nothing.
Seeing no one dared to speak up, Indigo smiled with satisfaction, raised her chin, and looked down at Isabella. "See? No one saw Abigail bump into you, which means you bumped into our Abigail..."
"I saw it."
A calm and unhurried voice came from the crowd.
"I saw it. It was Abigail who bumped into Isabella."
Indigo froze and looked toward the crowd.
A man stood there.
The man's lips were pressed together, his deep eyes carrying a cold severity. His skin was very fair, but he didn't look weak at all. Broad shoulders, narrow waist, wearing a jet-black suit that made him look noble and profound.
"Who are you?" Indigo looked at the man in surprise.
He actually dared to stand up and speak for this bitch.
Was he planning to oppose the Rodriguez Family?
William said nothing, just looked at Indigo, his eyes narrowing slightly, containing a threatening look.
David stood beside William, wiping sweat.
No, William, weren't we supposed to go see Ryder Rodriguez? Why are you getting involved in this mess?
David was almost speechless.
They had been walking along just fine when suddenly the person behind him disappeared. After searching for a while, he actually found William lowering himself to mingle in the crowd, watching two girls argue with rapt attention.
Just when Indigo asked who had seen it, William's feet moved, and David thought he was planning to leave.
But unexpectedly, William took a few steps forward and seriously said he saw it!
Indigo had never seen William before. When she asked who he was and he didn't answer, still daring not to give her face at the Rodriguez Family's event, she immediately shouted angrily, "Security, throw him out!"
Let everyone see what happens to those who speak up for this bitch!
Indigo's sharp, piercing voice reached Ryder's ears directly.
Ryder had been waiting upstairs for William for a long time. When he didn't show up, he came downstairs to look for him. From a distance, he heard Indigo saying she was going to throw someone out.
He glanced over here, and with just one look, his expression changed completely.
"What are you making a fuss about? Have you all lost your minds?"
Ryder hurried over.
Seeing him arrive, Indigo became even more confident, raising her chin and looking at Isabella and William with increasing disdain. "Dad, this bitch broke the birthday gift Abigail bought me and cursed at me in front of everyone. It's outrageous! And this man actually dared to disrespect me in front of everyone!"
"Dad, I'm going to throw these two arrogant fools out right now..."
Ryder slapped Indigo across the face.
The huge living room instantly fell silent.
Indigo couldn't believe it. Her head turned to the side, her whole body frozen.
Only after Ryder had struck her in anger did he realize that today was Indigo's birthday party. A flash of reluctance crossed his eyes.
But looking at William's cold demeanor, he had no choice but to keep a stern face.
"It's just a crystal crown. If it's broken, it's broken. But you, as the Rodriguez Family's daughter, treating guests so poorly—you should apologize to these two guests immediately."
Indigo hadn't recovered from that slap yet, and hearing these words, her eyes immediately reddened with anger.
"Apologize?"
She laughed coldly. "She's just a nobody without any status—why should I apologize to her? Besides, she was the one who first..."
Ryder shouted sternly, "Apologize!"
His tone left no room for argument.
Indigo was stunned again by his shout. She bit her lip in grievance, staring hard at Ryder, not understanding why Ryder, who had always doted on her, would suddenly treat her this way.
Ryder couldn't bear to look at her expression. His gaze swept over William, and he took a deep breath, saying word by word, "Indigo, apologize to Mr. Brown."
Hearing this, Indigo's face instantly froze, then her eyes slowly widened.
Who is he?
