Chapter 138 Same Style Clothes

Chapter 139: Present the Evidence

Watching Natasha's accusations pour out, everyone showed expressions of eager anticipation for the drama.

Knox and Atlas had already been subjects of comparison, and today's incident made everyone speculate even more gossip.

Hearing this, Maria couldn't take it anymore. "Natasha, what are you going crazy about!"

"I bought the clothes Helena is wearing. It has nothing to do with her at all."

"Helena is your daughter, of course you'll protect her. But what I just said - not a single word was a lie."

Natasha sneered coldly, pointing at Atlas and me. "You two are together now, aren't you? That's not a lie, is it?"

I was about to speak when Atlas pulled me protectively to his side.

He looked coldly at Natasha. "You're doing everything you can to ruin Helena's reputation to cover up the video of you and Knox having an affair at Helena and Knox's wedding, aren't you?"

Atlas's words hit Natasha's weak spot directly.

Her expression instantly became awkward. After a moment of silence, she said frantically, "What nonsense are you talking about?"

"I admit the video is real, but it's also true that Knox and I loved each other first."

She pointed her finger at me. "It's Helena. If she hadn't deliberately interfered, Knox and I would have been married long ago."

"Helena interfered?"

Hearing this, Atlas laughed.

He grabbed my hand and kissed it deeply.

When he looked up, his eyes were full of mockery.

"Let me tell everyone - when I first met Helena as a teenager, I fell in love with her."

"All these years, I've been silently by Helena's side."

"If Helena knew about the dirty business between you two, why would she pass up a rich, handsome, mature, and charming man like me to choose that cheating bastard beside you?"

"What cheating? Atlas, stop spreading lies!"

Atlas's words made Natasha even more furious.

Facing her loss of control, Atlas simply spread his hands casually. "After all, we all saw the sex video between you two with our own eyes, but you saying Helena came between you - there's not a shred of evidence for that."

"If you want people to believe you, show us the proof."

As soon as he said this, quite a few people must have remembered the video from the wedding that day. Knowing smiles appeared on the faces of those around us.

"I heard from friends that you have quite a nice figure, Natasha."

At Atlas's words, Natasha completely lost control.

"What did you say? Shut up, shut up!"

She went crazy trying to rush forward, but Knox intercepted her.

"Enough! Haven't you embarrassed yourself enough!"

After having someone take Natasha away, Knox's face darkened, his gaze moving back and forth between Atlas and me.

"Mr. Lancaster, what's the meaning of this? Do you have to ruin my engagement party?"

"Ridiculous!"

Atlas loosened the button on his wrist, glancing at Knox with disdain. "If your woman hadn't said disrespectful things to Helena, I wouldn't have fought back."

"If you want respect, you should at least have basic manners, right?"

After Atlas finished speaking, Knox fell silent for a moment without saying anything.

A moment later, he looked at me deeply. "I'll discipline Natasha and won't let her come out to hurt you again."

"Mr. Pemberton, you're wrong. Helena has never been fragile - not someone just anyone can hurt. But I see Natasha can't handle setbacks, so you'd better keep a close eye on her and stop letting her out to cause trouble."

Atlas tightened his grip on my hand, looking at Knox as if declaring ownership.

Knox glanced at me with an unpleasant expression and said coldly, "I understand. I hope you both enjoy yourselves today."

With that, he turned and left without stopping.

After he left, Willow looked at me with a fake smile. "Helena has really grown up - sharp-tongued, and now with someone to protect her. She'll be even more formidable in the future."

"Thank you for your recognition of Helena. We'll definitely get better and better."

Atlas put his arm around my shoulder and smiled at her cheerfully.

Willow's expression soured, but she still refused to back down.

"Good, then I'll wait for good news from you both."

With a cold snort, she turned and left.

After she left, I turned to see Henry and Maria looking very upset.

Natasha's words must have made them both quite angry.

"Dad, isn't that a client the company works with? I saw him looking over here several times. Should I come with you to say hello?"

Henry patted my shoulder. "No need. You keep your mom company. I'll take Atlas over."

"Abandoning your own daughter for an outsider - Dad, am I losing my place in your heart?"

Seeing me deliberately put on a resentful expression, Henry smiled and patted my head. "The company will eventually be in you two's hands. It's right for me to take Atlas to meet more people."

"Stop being jealous. There'll be plenty of chances for you to come out with me for business in the future."

"Yes, yes, you're the boss, you call the shots. I'll listen to you."

Seeing my glib tongue, Henry smiled at me indulgently. "Alright, go keep your mom company."

With that, he left with Atlas.

After they left, I looked at Maria. "There's cake over there. Let me get you a piece to try."

"Okay, go ahead."

Maria smiled and sent me off.

I quickly walked to the cake area, picked up a piece of cake, and was about to turn back when I saw Rosalind being helped toward Maria.

I knew Rosalind had always favored John's family. Her walking toward Maria at this moment couldn't be with good intentions.

I grabbed the cake and hurried toward her in quick steps.

"Grandma, why are you here too?"

Seeing me rush over, Rosalind looked at me with displeasure. "So undignified."

She extended her arm. "I'm tired. Help me upstairs to rest."

I looked at her warily, then waved to a waiter behind me. "Are there any spare guest rooms downstairs? My grandmother is elderly and wants to rest. Going upstairs isn't convenient."

"Yes, this way please."

The waiter led the way toward a guest room on the first floor.

I looked at Rosalind. "Let's go. I'll take you to the room to rest."

Rosalind's expression froze, then her brows furrowed. "The first floor is noisy. I want to go to the second floor."
