Chapter 122 Greedy

Chapter 123 Who Would Miss a Pile of Garbage

"Natasha, who gave you permission to yell and scream in my house!"

The moment Natasha saw me appear, her face darkened. She sneered, "Helena, so you've finally graced us with your presence? If you don't want me yelling, then you should've hidden what you did better!"

What was Natasha going crazy about now?

Before I could say anything, John spoke with a serious expression, "Helena, I guess you haven't seen today's entertainment news?"

"What entertainment news?"

As I spoke, I pulled out my phone and quickly scanned it, my eyes widening instantly.

The front-page photos were of me and Knox, and also of me and Atlas getting out of a car, walking arm-in-arm into The Lancaster Manor.

Bold headlines screamed: [Shocking! The entanglement between Atlas and Helena!]

[Still engaged to Knox; cheating with Atlas—Helena's background is astonishing!]

Several eye-catching headlines had pushed the story about Knox, Atlas, and me straight to the trending topics.

The incident at my and Knox's wedding that day had also made it to the trending list.

Some comments even claimed I had staged the wedding drama just to be with Atlas.

What complete nonsense!

Before I could finish reading, my phone rang. It was Atlas calling.

After I answered, he asked directly, "Have you seen the entertainment news?"

I nodded, "Just saw it."

After a moment of silence on the other end, he asked, "What do you plan to do?"

I chuckled lightly, "Let public opinion simmer a bit longer, then use the momentum to blow this thing up."

Atlas finally responded lazily, "Sounds like you've got it all figured out. Guess you don't need my help."

I smiled, "Why would I need to trouble you with such a small matter? Just sit back and watch the show."

Atlas laughed softly, "Alright, I'll be waiting."

As soon as I hung up, Natasha rushed in front of me impatiently, "Helena, didn't you say you'd already called off the engagement with Knox? Why did Knox go see you as soon as he got out of the police station? What exactly is your relationship now?"

Looking at her anxious expression, I sneered, "If I'm not mistaken, Knox hasn't seen you since he left the police station, has he?"

Her expression froze for a moment.

Her lips twitched, and she said bitterly, "That's none of your business. Stop changing the subject. You're probably all lovey-dovey with Atlas while still refusing to let go of Knox, aren't you? Just as I thought, Helena, you're nothing but a two-timing slut!"

The moment those words left her mouth, my hand landed hard across her face.

She covered her face and glared at me furiously, "Helena, you bitch, how dare you hit me! I'll kill you!"

She was about to lunge at me with claws out when Maria hurried over.

"Stop! Hold her back!"

As soon as Maria spoke, several servants surrounded Natasha. "Natasha, please calm down."

"Natasha, don't get physical. This isn't your house."

"Get away from me, you lowly servants!"

Natasha pushed and shoved without any regard for her image, looking like she was about to lose it completely.

Finally, John couldn't stand it anymore and spoke up, "Natasha, stop making a scene. Let's get to the bottom of this first."

"Dad, what's there to figure out? It's obvious this bitch Helena, is still seducing Knox. Otherwise, Knox had agreed to let me marry him, but now he won't say a word about it."

"Now everyone's laughing at me. If I can't marry Knox, what's the point of living!"

Natasha cried even louder.

Seeing her like this, John sighed and turned to me, "Helena, what's really going on here?"

I waved my hand, and the servants stepped back.

I walked calmly to the sofa and sat down before saying, "Whether you believe it or not, Knox and I have absolutely nothing to do with each other now."

"These photos were taken when he came to my office, and I kicked him out. The content is completely made up."

"I'm dating Atlas now. Knox is in the past for me. What I told Natasha last time still stands—Knox and I have called off our engagement and have no relationship whatsoever. What he thinks is his business."

I then looked at Henry, "Dad, I'd like to issue a statement in the company's name declaring that the engagement between Knox and me is void. Is that okay?"

Henry nodded, "Yes."

Only after saying all this did I look at Natasha, "Do you understand now? Knox and I have nothing to do with each other anymore."

"You really don't care about him anymore?"

Natasha didn't believe it at all, staring at me intently, afraid I was lying.

"When you've met someone better, who would still care about a pile of trash?"

Seeing me compare Knox to trash, Natasha's face instantly turned ugly.

Finally, she said angrily, "Fine! Since you don't care, then write that statement. I want you to write it right now."

I looked at Henry, who nodded slightly.

I picked up my phone and called the company's legal department, having them draft a statement in the company's name and issue a warning about the false rumors online.

After doing all this, I looked at Natasha, "Do you believe me now?"

She gritted her teeth and snorted coldly, "Just don't contact each other privately."

I was almost amused by Natasha's thinking.

As a member of the Lockwood family, she was so blinded by love. No wonder John's business was getting worse year after year.

"You can rest assured about that. I can't wait to stay away from him. But you should make things clear to Knox and tell him not to come looking for me."

After I finished speaking, Natasha's eyes reddened, "I can't even reach him now. He won't see me, and he won't even answer my calls."

This wouldn't do at all.

I was hoping to tie Natasha and Knox together permanently.

I looked at John, "Natasha's happiness is a lifetime matter. If you also approve of this match, you should go to their house and discuss it. After all, Natasha is now Knox's fiancée."

"The Pemberton family can't just play dumb about this."

As soon as I said this, Natasha was stunned. She hadn't expected me to speak up for her.

"Dad, Helena's right. Knox is avoiding me, but the rest of the Pemberton family is still around. Let's go to The Pemberton Manor right now."

John frowned, "Is that appropriate? If we go chasing after them like that, won't it look desperate?"

Seeing his refusal, Natasha stamped her feet in frustration, "Dad, what's more important—your pride or my happiness?"

"Of course, Natasha's happiness is more important."

Seeing me actively pushing Natasha and Knox together, John sensed something was off.

He said with a stern face, "Don't you hate Knox?"

"Hate him? Of course I do. But Natasha likes Knox, and I want Natasha to be happy too."

I spread my hands, "If you think I have ulterior motives, you don't have to follow my advice."

"This is Natasha's business and has nothing to do with Helena. Please don't drag Knox and Helena together anymore."

Maria said coldly, expressing her displeasure.

Hearing this, John looked embarrassed, "Yes, we were too impulsive this time."

"But I also heard a rumor that the Pemberton family borrowed quite a bit of money from the Lockwood Group?"
