Chapter 102: Don't Push Me Away
After the scene Willow caused a scene at the company last time, Henry wouldn't allow anyone to enter the company premises without permission - no matter who they were looking for, they had to be announced first.
After receiving the call, I told them to let Atlas in.
As soon as he arrived at the office, Atlas saw York standing beside me and paused slightly, but quickly walked up to me and said, "I heard your company has two shipments stuck in the warehouse?"
I wasn't surprised by Atlas's words. After the wedding ended, Knox and Xavier were taken away by the police. Such a big incident must have spread like wildfire, and well-connected upper-class families would have heard about the cargo situation.
I nodded, "We're actually discussing this matter right now."
"Do you have any concrete plans?"
At his question, I shook my head, "Not yet."
"I see. How about I try to find someone to help?"
At his words, I was pleasantly surprised, "You have a way?"
"Won't know until we try."
As Atlas spoke, he took out his phone and made a call. After a moment, he said, "Done. I found a buyer for your batch of cars. As for the remaining new energy equipment, we'll take it slow."
"Really?"
I was overjoyed, "You truly live up to your reputation, Mr. Lancaster - you managed to sell our goods so smoothly."
Then I said with a smile, "I don't even know how to thank you."
"It's simple." Atlas spread his hands, "Take me to dinner. I'm easy to please."
"Okay, okay, that's easy."
I looked at York and said, "Book a restaurant, then call Lyndon. Let's all go together and have a good drink with Mr. Lancaster today."
"Sure, I'll do it right now."
York ran out, and after he left, Atlas said with a resentful expression, "Helena, I just want to have dinner with you. I don't need others around."
"That won't do. You helped the company solve such a big problem - we're truly grateful. Business is business, personal matters are personal. If my dad wasn't at the hospital with grandma, I would definitely invite him too."
"That would be great."
When I mentioned Henry, Atlas's eyes lit up, "I wonder when Mr. Lockwood would honor us with your presence for dinner?"
"There will be a chance."
With that, I put on my coat with a smile and walked out with Atlas.
Outside the door, Lyndon was already waiting. When he saw us, he smiled at Atlas, "Hello, Mr. Lancaster."
Atlas nodded slightly at Lyndon and headed downstairs first.
In the parking lot, Lyndon courteously opened the car door for Atlas. The moment he got in, he glanced in my direction, "Get in."
Lyndon looked at me and quickly moved aside from the door, smiling at me, "Ms. Lockwood, please. We really should thank Mr. Lancaster properly this time. Ms. Lockwood, I'll have to trouble you."
After I got in the car in front of Lyndon, he wanted to say a few more words.
Atlas said, "Close the door."
Lyndon quickly shut the door and said with a smile, "Mr. Lancaster, take your time. We'll be right there."
Before he finished speaking, the car drove off.
The moment the car left, Atlas couldn't wait to hold my hand.
"Helena, when are you going to give me a chance to pursue you?"
"What are you doing?"
I felt a bit embarrassed and couldn't help but glance at the driver in front.
Seeing this, Atlas tapped on the partition, and soon the divider in the middle of the car slowly rose, leaving us a small private space in the back seat.
"Helena, you haven't answered my question yet."
Atlas gently kissed the back of my hand, his eyes burning as he waited for my answer.
Seeing I couldn't break free, I let him hold my hand.
"Atlas, you saw what happened at the wedding, and with the company matters, I really don't have the mood or energy to start a new relationship right now."
He sighed, "Looks like I'm still not good enough, that's why you don't think much of me."
"That's not it. You're already great, but Atlas, I really don't have the mood right now."
"I know."
Atlas kissed the back of my hand again, his expression rarely so serious.
"You have your concerns, I understand. But Helena, I only have one request - don't push me away at any time, and don't keep things bottled up inside. Remember, you have me. I'll always be by your side."
When Atlas said this, his eyes were intense, looking at me with focused attention. Seeing he was waiting for my answer, I could only nod, "Okay."
Seeing me agree, he finally breathed a sigh of relief, but as if afraid I would go back on my word, he repeated, "Then it's settled. Whether it's company matters or the Pemberton family issues, remember, you have me by your side."
"Okay, I'll remember. You're not even old yet - why are you getting so nagging?"
I pushed him playfully.
"I'm just worried about you."
Atlas tapped my nose and sat up straight, "What do you and your father plan to do about the Pemberton family matter?"
"Naturally we'll recover the loan, or if we can't, get back the shares."
I actually preferred getting back the shares. In my past life, the Pemberton family took the Lockwood Group's shares and eventually took over the Lockwood Group.

Atlas played with my fingers while saying coldly, "The Pemberton Group's stock price evaporated five hundred million dollars this morning. At this rate, it will definitely keep falling."

"Okay."
The car soon stopped, and the driver said, "Mr. Lancaster, we're here."
Atlas got out of the car and reached out his hand to me. I took his hand and jumped out. Just as I steadied myself, I heard a voice say, "Helena, what are you doing here?"
I turned to look - it was Natasha speaking. In the distance, Serenity and John were also getting out of their car.
Hearing Natasha's voice, Serenity ran over to me. Her eyes swept over mine, and Atlas's clasped hands, and a harmless smile appeared on her face.
She said, "Helena, are you here for dinner too?"
"Yes."
I didn't want to say much, but Serenity had no intention of letting me go. Her gaze fell on Atlas beside me, and she asked, "Helena, is this gentleman your friend? I don't think we've met."
