Chapter 89 Reborn

Chapter 89 Reborn
Back to the present.
Time flew past and it’s now time for Mira’s burial.
Her coffin was loaded into the funeral home's car and the royal family got in their cars to proceed to the royal cemetery.
After a short drive to the adjacent royal property where the royal cemetery was located, the coffin was taken to a freshly dug grave.
The weather is good, the sun is shining up in the sky. It was a beautiful day to die.
After a short prayer was over, funeral home staff lowered the coffin into the ground. Mira, Alpha Gideon and the rest of the royal family including the staff threw flowers into the casket as their last farewell to a good soul.
Mira was crying silently. She felt terrible inside. Witnessing her body being buried six feet under is surreal and painful to watch.
Mira didn't hurt anyone when she was still alive, she is a good person, she will go straight to heaven, a well known belief by the human race. That was what people were thinking as they watched the earth cover the entire grave, the coffin totally disappearing from their sight.
After the burial was over, everyone left the cemetery and returned to the mansion, but the couple stayed in the cemetery a little bit longer.
Mira sat on the chair nearby, tired of standing for too long.
Alpha Gideon stood beside the grave, uttering his final goodbye to his wife.
After one hour, they finally left the royal cemetery and returned to the bungalow house.
“I will sleep here tonight so we can discuss what will be our new arrangement now that my wife is gone,” he said. His tone was filled with deep sorrow.
“OK, no problem. Let’s talk about our future together,” she responded calmly.
After dinner, they retired early into the bedroom and cuddled on the bed, discussing their new arrangement now that Luna Rosie was out of the picture.
“Babe, will you go back to the mansion with me? We can stay in the room if you don’t want to be reminded of my wife’s memory,” he said, caressing her baby bump. “Technically, you are still Luna Rosie in their eyes. It's about time to go back to the mansion and live your life normally as my wife. Would you do it for me?” he asked.
“Yes, of course. I will follow your wishes. If that makes you happy then I will go back to the mansion and live my life as Luna Rosie,” she agreed wholeheartedly to make his life easier.
“Good. I'm happy that you aren't making things difficult for me. Thank you, babe,” he said, kissing her head affectionately, loving her more and more every day.
“I will never make your life difficult. I will support you all the way and obey your commands because I’m your wife. Your happiness is my happiness,” she said sweetly, melting into his arms when he wrapped his arms around her, drawing her closer to him in a loving embrace.
“What do you think I should do with my wife’s clothes and stuff? Technically they are all yours, but since she already passed away you might find it unbearable to wear her clothes. Do you want to throw them away, donate them to charity or will you keep them?” he asked.
Luna Rosie’s expensive collections of bags, shoes, clothes and jewelry flashed in Mira’s head. “Don’t worry about them. To preserve your wife's memory for the time being I will keep them in her room. I will decide later what to do with them, but for now, no need to give them away yet. Let's preserve the room as it is for now,” she replied casually.
“OK. Your wishes are my command. How about the next room? The one you previously occupied, is it good enough to be our room? What do you think?” he suggested.
“No problem with me. I can live anywhere as long as you are with me,” she responded sweetly.
“OK, now let's talk about other things," he said.
The couple discussed their new arrangement in details. Their conversation lasted until 8:00 in the evening.
When Mira started yawning, they finally went to sleep, drifting into a deep slumber.
The couple slept peacefully that night, entangled in each other’s arms.
\~~~
On the same night, a thousand miles away, in the Moon Star Pack territory, the moon was bright, shining brightly in the sky above.
Luna Amira was taking a bath in the lake, her favorite place when the tragedy happened.
She lost her footing and slipped, hitting her head hard on the rock, drawing blood. She fell into the water, unconscious. The impact of the accident caused rapid internal bleeding. She died in a fatal accident.
One hour later.
Her personal maid returned to the lake on board the three-wheeled E-bike, carrying a basket filled with food to check on her mistress and she found her sitting on the rock, with a head injury, blood dripping from her head. Her face registered shock and worry. “Luna Amira, what happened to you? Why is your head bleeding?” She asked. “I will call the pack doctor to check on your injury.”
Stunned, Luna Rosie blinks several times, feeling disoriented but very much aware of her new surroundings. So this body I’m reborn with belongs to a woman named Luna Amira? Wow, she was given a third chance at life and this time she still carries the same status as Luna. Interesting!
“Luna, are you okay? Talk to me!” the maid said nervously, panicking, trying to stop the bleeding with her hands.
“Calm down. I lost my balance and hit my head on the rock causing the bleeding," she explained. “But I’m okay now,” she assured the maid.
“Can you walk?” the maid asked worriedly, planning to go back to the pack house to ask for help.
“Yes. But let me rest for a while. I need to gather my strength first. Give me water,” she ordered, shivering in the coldness of the night.
“Copy Luna,” the maid replied. She bolted to the wooden house and grabbed bottled water and Luna's clothing and returned to the lake.
Luna Rosie immediately drank the water to quench her thirst.
With the maid’s help, Luna Rosie settled comfortably in the wooden house a few meters away from the water. In the bedroom, she discarded her wet clothes and changed into dry clothes.
The maid tended to her wound using the medicine kit she had taken from the cupboard.
The wooden house has two bedrooms, a kitchenette, a bathroom, a tiny living room and a verandah.
She gave instructions to the maid. “I want to rest here for a while. Cook me something hot. I want to eat chicken soup. If I fall asleep and you are done cooking, wake me up immediately. I’m hungry."
"Copy Luna,” the maid said and hurry to the kitchen to get busy preparing chicken soup in the kitchen.
So, this is Luna Amira’s refuge? Her favorite place away from the chaos of the pack. She always comes here if she is overwhelmed by family and pack problems that need deep thinking and she always takes a bath in the lake during the full moon, just like today.
She wrapped her body in a blanket and lay down on the bed. She closed her eyes as she began accessing all of Luna Amira’s memories that she had inherited.
After scanning Luna Amira’s memory, she knew now that she had a husband and this husband of hers is still alive and sadistic and always hurts her periodically. That is why she hated him to the core.
She groaned in dismay. It looks like she will be living a difficult life as Luna Amira.
Tough luck!
She released a deep sigh, thinking of her safe and pampered life in the mansion.
Can she go back to that beautiful place and reclaim her life back as Luna Rosie?
Why not?
Now that she has been reborn, she will use her head wisely.
If she returned to the mansion and proved to her husband Alpha Gideon that she was Luna Rosie, who was reborn in Luna Amira’s body, he would definitely take her back. She knew him too well. He will never forsake her.
Her eyes burnt with determination.
For now it looks impossible but she will find a way to return to her old life!
