Chapter 77 You Are Invited!

Chapter 77 You Are Invited!
Luna Rosie and the driver finally arrived home. She entered the mansion and climbed the stairs excited to see her husband’s reaction to the good news.
When she reached the room, her husband was already waiting for her, sitting on the sofa, watching a random show on TV.
He instantly looked at her face to see if the pic she sent her was real. The look on his face registered shock. He stood up, facing her in awe. “Wow, that is indeed true! Your face looks like a face who has never undergone scar surgery. So unbelievable. So freaking amazing!” he said, still reeling from the shock, cupping her face gently, inspecting every inch of her face closely.
Luna Rosie grinned. “I told you so. Even my doctor can’t believe it’s really happening but she only believes after seeing my face in her office. And she told me that there is no other explanation, except divine intervention!”
“The Moon Goddess has finally answered my prayer, granting my wishes fast! I’m so happy right now! My suffering has finally ended today,” she gushed in elation.
Alpha Gideon rejoices with his wife. It is rare to see her so happy. In the past, she was always sulking and brooding but now she's different. “I’m happy for you too, my love.”
"YAY! We can finally get married next week. Just a simple, private wedding is enough for me.” Luna Rosie smiled animatedly, her eyes shimmering with excitement. She will no longer be Mira the maid. She can finally be called Mira the second wife of Alpha Gideon.
After everything that she went through in her life, she is satisfied being his second wife as long as they are still married to each other and she got to stay in the mansion all her life and raise their beautiful children together.
Alpha Gideon planted a gentle kiss on her forehead. “I will inform my mother about wedding preparations. It will be a garden wedding on Sunday next week, at 4:00 in the afternoon. Are you okay with the date of our wedding?” He asked, liking the glow on her face. Mira’s face is not truly bad at all. He could learn to love his wife’s new face now that the scars are all gone. Easy to accept her face now without that awkward feeling he had felt in the past. He could live harmoniously with two wives whose souls were swapped.
They sat on the sofa and chatted merrily.
“Wow, I could finally leave the mansion, go shopping and resume visiting the places I loved to visit in the past without concealing my face behind a veil. I could finally take back my life! I’m so happy right now. I feel so excited about our upcoming garden wedding. My heart is bursting with joy,” she raved in a thrilled voice.
Suddenly her problems feel much lighter to handle now that the scars on her face are gone, giving her freedom to enjoy her life more in the open, not hiding behind a veil.
“I will invite Mira and Lena to our wedding day. What do you think?” she suddenly said, observing his reaction.
He fell silent for a moment, and then spoke, “Are you sure? You don’t have to do it. It will be our special moment together. I want to protect your feelings, you know…” He didn't finish his words, he was waiting for her to continue where he left off.
Luna Rosie smiled. “It’s okay, I already got over my jealousy. I realized that co-existing with Mira peacefully is good for everyone's peace of mind. As long as she stays in the bungalow house and I stay here in the mansion, I have no problem with her anymore,” she said. Her tone was sincere.
“Really—? Are you serious?” he asked with a raised brow, trying to read her soul.
“Of course, I am serious!” Luna Rosie insisted, wearing a solemn expression on her face.
“Alright, I believe you now,” he finally said in relief.
“But my love, I want to stay here in the mansion. You must promise me not to bring Mira here again to protect my peace and sanity. Can you do that for me?” she asked in a pleading tone.
“OK. No problem. I promise you that I will not bring Mira here to the mansion to avoid angering you,” he said softly, knowing Mira preferred to stay in the bungalow house. His two wives can’t live under the same roof, and he was sure of that now. Separating the two women is good for his mental health, it will create a peaceful environment for the three of them.
“Thank you so much, my love. I know now that you love me more than her,” she said and planted a kiss on his lips, feeling happy that he cares deeply for her and is willing to give her what she wants.
He enveloped her in a warm hug.
She raised her head and met his gaze. “Can you truly love me now that the ugly scars on my face are gone?” she asked, studying his face.
He smiled. “Of course, I always love you. Honestly I’m glad the scar surgery went well. It is easier to look at your face now without scars. We can start a new beginning," he said softly, thinking of Mira back home in the bungalow house.
The couple cuddled in bed, chatting about the wedding, enjoying each other's company.
After spending pleasant time together, Alpha Gideon left the bedroom for some errands outside the mansion.
Luna Rosie was left alone in the room, excitedly planning her beautiful wedding next week.
She stood in the middle of the room, thinking about what to do next?
Aha, she should go to the bungalow house now and share the good news with Mira!
Yep, that’s what she was going to do. Hmm, how about she still wears her veil and only removes the veil during the wedding to surprise everyone? But maybe not, she was too excited to hide her pretty face anymore.
After suffering in silence because of the ugly scars covering her face, without them she felt like she was reborn again. So liberating!
The feeling is so good. Every cell in her body was infused with boundless energy.
“Thank you Moon Goddess for giving me a miracle. I didn't have to wait long for surgery scars to heal. You granted me a quick solution to my pressing problem. Thank you so much," she gratefully said.
Hmm...
What is she waiting for?
Mira is waiting for good news!
She grabbed the veil, put it on her face and left the bedroom.
A few moments later, she can be seen boarding the E-vehicle, heading to the bungalow house.
After a short ride they finally arrived at their destination.
Luna Rosie exited the vehicle and walked to the verandah. No one was in the front yard.
Where are they?
She walked to the door and knocked three times.
After a few minutes of waiting, Mira finally opened the door and was surprised to see Luna Rosie standing outside. She thought she would never see her again.
“Hello Mira, I’m back!” Luna Rosie announced her presence merrily.
Mira cleared her throat. “It’s nice to see you again, Luna Rosie. Why are you here? What can I do for you today?” she asked anxiously, feeling uneasy.
“Let me in. I have good news for you. I got the bandages removed from my face already. I’m sure you are excited to see my new image without scars. After all, this is still your face,” Luna Rosie said brightly.
“Yes please!” Mira’s face lit up with excitement. Finally, she could see her face again without scars after a long time.
The women entered the house and Mira closed the door. They settled on the sofa in the living room and Lena joined them.
“Are you guys ready to see a magic?” Luna Rosie grinned.
“Bring it on!” Mira said, holding her breath.
Luna Rosie slowly removed the veil from her face and immediately saw the shocked expression on their faces.
“Wow, Mira, you have a pretty face without scars on your face! I didn’t expect you to be this pretty,” Lena gushed in awe.
“Yeah, Mira’s face was pretty. But I still had the most beautiful face card between the two of us. Right?” Luna Rosie arrogantly declared.
“Yeah, you are correct, Luna,” Lena agreed.
Mira ignored Luna Rosie’s sarcasm and smiled. Tears of happiness formed in her eyes. She waited for a long time for a moment like this to come, to see her face without scars. It felt surreal. It's like seeing a stranger when in fact it was still her body and face she was looking at right now.
Luna Rosie's eyes sparkled with delight. “Girls, I have another piece of good news for you. My husband and I are planning to have a garden wedding next week, Sunday. You are invited to celebrate the beautiful moments with us.” She announced the good news, her tone brimming with jubilation.
Mira’s unshed tears fell from her eyes and she wiped them quickly with the back of her hand.
She doesn't know if she will feel happy or not after hearing about the wedding. It sounds so surreal right now. Before the soul swap took place she was imagining herself being loved by Alpha Gideon in her own body and face without scars. And now it’s finally happening. Her wish has been granted but she is no longer the owner of her body. It now belongs to Luna Rosie.
Luna Rosie was observing Mira’s face the whole time she announced the wedding news. The reaction on Mira’s face was that of someone experiencing an inner struggle as if she was not happy to see her original face at all. “What’s wrong, Mira? Why don't you look happy to see your face without scars? Why do you look so sad?”
Mira fell silent, struggling to express her emotions out in the open.
“Are you sad that I’m going to marry my husband again? Are you disappointed that I still got my husband’s love and support despite you having my face and body?” she asked. She looked longingly at her baby bump, wishing she could return to her body right now at this very minute.
Mira placed her hand on her protruding belly protectively, breaking Luna Rosie’s trance.
“Answer me, Mira! Why are you not looking happy at all after seeing your face?” Luna Rosie repeated her question, observing Mira’s face closely, seeing the emotions flashing in her eyes.
Mira cleared her throat. “I’m happy of course. I just remembered something from my past that made me sad. But I don’t want to elaborate on what it is. I’m sorry, it’s too personal,” she explained.
“It’s okay. No need to tell me about it. Some pasts were meant to be forgotten. Let’s all move on from our past and embrace our bright future together,” Luna Rosie said thoughtfully.
Mira beamed brightly. “Congratulations on your wedding! I’m happy for you. Thank you for inviting us. We will surely attend the wedding,” she said excitedly.
Luna Rosie looked at her baby bump again. "How is my son? Is he still actively kicking your belly?” she asked softly. It was her connection with her unborn son that she really missed during her pregnancy. She loved caressing her baby bump and talking to her unborn son lovingly. She misses those wonderful moments. She needs to be pregnant again soon with a new baby to make her happy and satisfied.
“Don’t worry the baby is fine, he’s very active,” Mira assured her.
“Good,” Luna Rosie was pleased with Mira’s answer. “Um, I have another question. Does my husband stay here overnight? I know he was talking to you on a regular basis, but what I want to know is… does he spend a night in your bedroom?”
Luna Rosie’s question became too personal. Mira doesn't know how to answer it.
Heavy silence engulfed the room, making everyone feel tense.
Lena broke the silence and quickly offered, “Luna, do you want some water or fruit juice?”
“I want a glass of orange juice,” Luna Rosie replied, still observing Mira’s face, wondering why it took her so long to answer her simple question.
After a few minutes of heavy silence and discomfort, Mira finally said something off topic. “What gift do you want us to bring to your wedding?”
“No need for gifts. I already had everything. Your response matters to me so that we can start a new beginning in peace and harmony,” Luna Rosie said bitterly. Mira’s silence confirmed her worst fear. Her husband had already spent a night with Mira and they were already intimate with each other. Mira’s guilt was plastered all over her face. Intense anger surged through her. She wanted to pull Mira’s hair and inflict unbearable pain on her, but it is not a good idea because Mira is pregnant with her baby, her own flesh and blood. She doesn't want to hurt her baby.
Gritting her teeth in anger, she stood up. “I’m leaving. Tell Lena I don’t want to drink juice anymore!”
Mira sighed heavily as she watched Luna Rosie walk to the door and make a hasty exit.
Oh God, she knows!
When she avoided answering Luna Rosie’s provoking question, her silent admission came out in the open. She should have lied!
Too late for that.
Lena returned to the living room, holding up a glass of orange juice. “Where is Luna Rosie?” she asked after noticing her former mistress' absence from the room.
“She’s gone back to the mansion to plan her wedding,” Mira replied in a dispirited tone as she rose to her feet. She moved towards the bedroom, leaving Lena scratching her head in bafflement.
