Chapter 75 Generous Gifts
The following day at the bungalow house, Mira woke up late to a new day. It was already 8:00 in the morning. The sun was already up in the sky, shining brightly.
When she checked her pet Brownie, it was nowhere on the bed. Where is it?
When she went to sleep last night her pet was beside her on the bed. “Brownie? Where are you?” she asked, checking the blanket and pillow. Nothing.
She also checked the space below the bed, nothing. Her pet was gone?
But before fear and worry took over her senses, she saw Brownie slithering down the window, jumping on the bed and settling on her lap.
“Where have you been? Did you leave the room last night?” she asked.
The snake nodded its head.
“Really? Where did you go?” she asked, curious where her pet went last night.
The snake rested its head on her lap and closed its eyes. She patted Brownie’s head fondly.
Mira smiled. “I guess you went back to the garden at the back of the mansion, right? And you look tired. Sleep well. I will leave the room to have breakfast,” she said, putting her pet down on the bed. She went to the bathroom to gurgle water into her mouth and splash water on her face.
A few minutes later, she left the bedroom and went to the kitchen. Lena was no longer there but her breakfast was already prepared on the table. Hungry, she lowered herself onto the chair and began eating her heavy meal, consisting of a delicious waffle, scrambled egg, ripe banana and hot chocolate milk.
Meanwhile…
At the royal family mansion, Luna Rosie and Alpha Gideon were having breakfast in their bedroom.
“I will leave the house after I finish breakfast,” he said while sipping on his black coffee.
“Where are you going?” she asked, putting a thin slice of ham in her mouth, chewing slowly.
“Me and my brothers will pursue our leads. Soon, we will successfully uncover the identity of the supreme leader of the illegal wolf traffickers operating within the city,” he explained.
"Ah okay. Good luck to you and your brothers. Take care of yourself,” she said softly and continued eating her meal in silence.
After he finished eating breakfast, Alpha Gideon prepared the things he needed for his trip.
After half an hour, Alpha Gideon left the bedroom to join his brothers waiting in the living room downstairs. They leave the mansion and board their vehicle along with their bodyguards.
Back in Luna Rosie’s room, she was already sitting on the sofa, holding her phone, browsing clothes at her favorite online retailer store.
After a few minutes of checking out the clothes, she brought five beautiful cotton maternity dresses for Mira, three blouses for Lena and 5 sets of newborn clothes and added them to her cart. She also bought chocolates and cookies for the two women.
Satisfied with her purchases, she put her phone down on the center table and picked up the remote control to watch a concert video on TV.
Fifteen minutes later, the maid came to the room to take the dirty dishes back to the kitchen.
Luna Rosie spent the rest of the morning and afternoon watching TV, reading and napping.
Time has gone by.
In the evening, the maid delivered dinner to the room. Luna Rosie ate dinner alone.
After dinner, she went to the window and looked outside.
The night is still early.
Feeling bored, she sat on the bed and watched a suspense movie on TV. The movie was filled with spectacular action scenes and breathtaking views of the magnificent mountains.
The movie was entertaining to watch so after the movie ended, she quickly began watching part 2 of the movie. Then part 3. She finished watching the spectacular three movie parts at 10:00 in the evening.
She turned off the TV and went to the bathroom to brush her teeth to get ready to retire for the night.
Half an hour later, Luna Rosie was already lying on the bed, checking her phone to see if her husband had sent her a message. He sent her a message saying he would come home late tonight so he told her not to wait for her.
Luna Rosie put her phone on the bedside table and shut her eyes to sleep.
After one hour, she had already drifted into a deep sleep, snoring softly.
When the clock struck at 12:00 midnight, Brownie the snake suddenly appeared in the middle of Luna Rosie’s room, looking at the bed and at the woman sleeping on it.
The snake slithered into the bedpost and easily reached the bed. It continued slithering towards Luna Rosie’s face, hissing loudly. Its forked tongue was already out.
The snake's tongue released a purple light bathing Luna Rosie’s entire face. The astonishing spectacle lasted for a few minutes, and the purple light slowly faded away.
After the snake finished its task, it suddenly disappeared from the room and re-appeared in the bungalow house in Mira’s room. She was already sleeping peacefully on the bed.
Brownie slithered towards the bed, climbed the bedpost and settled comfortably on the pillow, staring at Mira’s face for a few moments before going to sleep.

Three days later, after breakfast, Luna Rosie's parcel finally arrived at the mansion. The maid brought the parcel to her room.
Luna Rosie inspected the chocolates and the clothes looking for defects especially the newborn clothes. Not a single piece was damaged, they were all in good condition. Satisfied, she set aside the parcel and continued with her morning activities in the room.
Time passed quickly.
Lunch time has come.
Luna Rosie ate lunch alone in the room. Her husband hadn't returned home yet. He and his brothers were staying in a hotel outside the city, deep in their investigation.
After she finished her lunch, she got ready to go to the bungalow house.
Fifteen minutes later, Luna Rosie can be seen boarding the E-vehicle outside the house, heading to the bungalow house.
When she arrived at the bungalow house, both Lena and Mira were relaxing on the verandah, talking to each other animatedly. They were surprised to see her getting out of the E-vehicle.
She walked towards the verandah, smiling brightly. “Hello, girls, I brought some stuff for you. I hope you like them.”
Mira scrutinized Luna Rosie's face closely, wondering why she's back again. “What can we do for you?” she asked apprehensively. She didn't expect that she would be back soon. She thought she would not come again.
Lena shifted on her feet, feeling nervous.
“Relax. I bought some gifts for you,” Luna Rosie answered. She handed over the parcel to Mira. “I bought five beautiful maternity dresses for you, blouses for Lena and sets of newborn clothes for my baby. I also bought chocolates and cookies so that you could have a delicious snack,” she said, smiling brightly.
She was about to tell Mira that she wanted to enter the house for a chitchat but she might as well go home now because suddenly she felt tired and very sleepy. She wanted to lay down on the floor and sleep right away.
She was confused why she kept feeling tired and fatigued despite not taking painkillers anymore before she left the mansion. What's going on with her body? Why does she suddenly feel so weak and tired?
Mira was hesitating to accept the gifts, but she didn’t want to appear rude to her visitor. So she finally smiled and said, “Thank you for the gifts. Would you come inside the house for a coffee or tea?" she offered politely.
Luna Rosie shakes her head. “Thanks for the offer. Maybe next time. I can’t stay long. I have to go now. Enjoy your gifts. I got to go now. Bye girls!” she said, and waved her hand, moving away from the verandah, heading back to the E-vehicle.
“Let’s go back to the mansion and drive faster,” she told the driver urgently.
“OK,” the driver replied and started the vehicle.
A few minutes later, Luna Rosie is back in the mansion. She quickly got out of the vehicle, rushed to the entrance of the house and climbed the stairs, feeling dizzy again.
She managed to reach her room without a problem. She quickly lay down on the bed and closed her eyes to sleep.
A few moments later, she fell asleep, snoring softly.
Meanwhile, back in the bungalow house. Mira and Lena inspected the clothes one by one.
“In fairness, Luna Rosie has good taste when it comes to choosing good quality clothes,” Mira commented, impressed by the high quality fabric used to make the maternity dresses.
“Yeah, the maternity dresses and blouses are fabulous! And the chocolate and cookies look delicious,” Lena gushed excitedly.
“Let’s eat chocolate and cookies,” Mira said in a thrilled voice.
“OK. I will eat first just in case it was poisoned,” Lena joked.
“Go ahead, do it,” Mira urged her, salivating at the sigh of the delicious chocolates.
Lena opened the box of chocolate, picked up one and put it in her mouth. “Wow, yummy! It tastes so good. It melts in my mouth,” she gushed appreciatively.
After a few minutes of eating the chocolate and nothing bad happened to Lena, Mira finally began eating the chocolate and cookies while checking the baby's clothes one by one.
“I wonder why Luna Rosie gives us gifts? I can’t understand why. Why would she go the extra mile to give us a gift? What for? What does she want?” Lena asked, baffled by her former mistress's intention.
“Um, maybe she already regretted her previous actions towards me, which is why she decided to reconcile with us. Maybe she wanted to be friends with us?” Mira muses, wondering about Luna Rosie’s true motive for giving them gifts.
“I noticed something odd about her. She doesn't want to stay long here. She always leaves in a hurry. I wonder why?” Lena stated the obvious. Her brows drew together in puzzlement.
“That’s one question we can’t answer. We can only speculate based on what we saw with her actions,” Mira said.
“I’m still not convinced that Luna Rosie is ready to accept you. It sounds impossible to me,” Lena expressed her fears.
“Alright, let’s stop torturing ourselves with Luna Rosie’s intention. I’m going to my room for my afternoon nap.” Mira entered the house.
Lena scooped the clothes, put them back in the parcel bag and entered the house to put the chocolate in the fridge.
