Chapter 71 Explosion

Chapter 71 Explosion
The days passed and Alpha Gideon continued to visit Mira at her new home every day. They engaged in mind-blowing lovemaking every time they met. Their bond grew stronger due to their explosive intimate encounters. The couple was determined to develop a relationship meant to stand the test of time.
Days went by quickly.
A day before Luna Rosie was scheduled to go home, her anger finally exploded after learning the truth. “What did you say?”
“I said…Mira and Lena have now been staying in the bungalow house since last week,” Alpha Gideon finally confessed the truth to his wife.
“Whaaat?” Luna Rosie’s eyes widened in shock and disbelief. “Why didn't you tell me about it? I kept asking you why Lena no longer contacted me and you kept telling me that Lena had changed her number and went home to visit her family in the province, etcetera. But in reality you relocated them to the bungalow house?”
“But why?”
“Why are you keeping it a secret from me?”
“What the hell is going on?” She asked, her nostrils flaring in anger because she finally realized that her husband had been lying to her since last week.
Alpha Gideon took a deep breath. He hated it every time his wife questioned his decisions. He might as well be honest with her. “I’m the reason why Lena no longer communicates with you. I told Lena to stop reporting to you because I knew you had made her your spy. You are putting too much pressure on the poor maid. It’s not good that you are terrorizing her. It’s unfair on her part. I’m just saving her from your madness, your jealousy and your insecurities. That’s the truth.”
“So…you are just lying all along? Making things up about Lena?” she asked in outrage. Her heart was bleeding inside by his scheming.
“Yup. That’s the truth. I know everything about your plan and your intimidation. Lena confessed to me. For your information, she is no longer your maid, she is now Mira’s personal maid. Stay away from Lena and Mira. They are no longer your responsibility. They are my responsibility, so leave them alone,” he said in a hard tone.
Luna Rosie bit her lower lip as anger surged through her body, squeezing her heart painfully. “So…you are telling me that you have been in contact with Mira all this time? Are you talking to her on a regular basis?”
“Yes of course. We talked to each other. She is pregnant with our child. I just want to make sure she is well taken care of,” he said, defending his actions.
“Are you sure that’s all there is to it?” She asked him point blank, observing his face closely, looking for signs that he was cheating on her with Mira. She believed there was more to the story than what he was willing to tell her.
“What else do you want to ask?” He said, avoiding her gaze, ignoring her question. “And I have to remind you that you are not allowed to visit Mira and Lena in the bungalow house and stir trouble there. You must stay in the mansion and behave yourself. In short, stay away from the two women so that we can live a peaceful life, the three of us,” he said in a tone filled with authority.
“What the hell? Are you now telling me not to defy your orders?” She snorted, acting high and mighty.
He scowled at her and said, “That’s my order. If I find out you are trying to stir troubles in the bungalow house while I’m away, you will receive a punishment from me. Do you understand?"
Luna Rosie was fuming in anger. She couldn't believe that her husband was now turning against her, defending Mira, hurting her feelings in the process. She teared up as pain and disbelief mirrored in her eyes, prompting her to lash out at him. “You are so unfair! You are trying to paint me as the villain in our love story. You are now defending a lowly maid over your wife? This is so unfair! How can you do this to me?” she asked. Tears of frustration glistened in her eyes.
He took a deep breath and said, “Everything I do is for everyone's peace of mind. Why can’t you understand my good intentions? Why must you insist on controlling Mira’s life? Why are you making things complicated for me — for us?” He growled, annoyed by her refusal to obey his orders.
“Because that's my body we're talking about here! The body that Mira inhabits is my body. The baby that Mira is carrying is our child. Mira is just a soul who has taken over my body. I’m still the owner of my body therefore I have a say when it comes to my body. It’s my life and future we are talking about here!” She said indignantly, feeling aggrieved, wanting him to put himself in her shoes for once so that he would have a full understanding of how difficult her situation was.
Alpha Gideon was silent for a moment, raking his hand through his hair in absolute annoyance as he pondered their worsening situation.
Luna Rosie was determined to win on their argument. “Why? Why do you still want to argue with me about what is the right thing to do with my body? I may be your wife, but I’m the owner of my body! Therefore you have no right to decide what I want to do with my body. Even if I hurt my body you can’t stop me because I’m its rightful owner! Do you understand what I’m trying to tell you?” she said, her voice laced with anger.
“You are right, it's your body. You can do whatever you want with your body — but have you forgotten that our unborn child is growing in your body? What if you accidentally harm your own child? How are you going to face me, my family?” he asked, putting her right on the spot.
“You only care about our baby and Mira, but how about me? How about my feelings?” She asked indignantly, shouting at his face. She was so mad at him right now because he constantly disregarded her feelings and emotions. She is the victim here, not Mira! But why does he keep protecting that maid? So damn annoying! Unless…unless…there is something special going on between him and Mira.
Alpha Gideon threw his hands in the air in frustration. “Everything will be okay between the three of us, as long as you don’t go to the bungalow house and cause trouble there. Now that you know everything, you should stay in the mansion until our wedding takes place. Avoid doing something stupid that might change everything. If you disobey my command, I have no voice but to punish you,” he said. His tone was cold and sharp as ice.
“How dare you? I’m your wife!” She glared at him. “What punishment are you talking about?” she asked, raising a brow, wanting to know how he would punish her if she defied his orders.
Alpha Gideon sighed heavily. It’s not easy for him to punish his wife. But if it was the only way to protect Mira and his unborn child, he had to do it. “If you hurt Mira again I will be forced to send you away from the mansion,” he said in a serious tone, threatening her out in the open.
What the hell?
Luna Rosie froze.
Shock and disbelief flashed in her eyes.
Can he really do it to her? His own wife?
But the seriousness in his eyes and tone tells her he is not joking at all, he is damn serious!
He approached the bed and met her gaze unflinchingly. “My love, listen carefully. Please behave and control your anger and jealousy. Don’t hurt Mira again. If you can do that, there will be no problems between us. Everything will be alright. So always remember my warnings before you do anything stupid. You will regret it. Please don’t push my bottom line. OK?”
Luna Rosie gritted her teeth in anger. “You know what? You have changed. You are not my loving husband anymore!” she said in disdain. “Are you cheating on me with Mira? Answer me!” she demanded fiercely. Her angry tone echos around the walls of the room.
He shook his head, disappointed that his wife continued to be stubborn, trying to argue with him at every turn. He felt infuriated. “Why can’t you just listen to me and obey my orders so we don’t have to argue anymore?” he asked.
“Because you sent Mira to the bungalow house without my consent, without informing me first! That’s what angered me!” Luna Rosie yelled in a vexed manner.
Alpha Gideon heaved a sigh. “You are hopeless. Talking to you is like talking to a broken record. I will go now."
“Where are you going? Leaving during an argument? We are not done yet!” she shouted, feeling hurt and insulted that he would leave her just like that.
Enraged, she watched him walk to the door and make a quick exit, leaving her alone in the room to deal with her anger and disappointment.
She had a feeling that her husband would pursue Mira and maybe it had already started.
The more she thinks about it the more her suspicions grow. Her husband is hiding something from her and she needs to know what is going on with him and Mira while she is recovering in the hospital.
Unfortunately, she can no longer ask Lena what’s really going on because she has changed her number.
Such a bugger!
It looks like Lena deserves a few slaps from her for betraying her.
She was more annoyed than ever, feeling helpless about her situation.
She’s dying to go home.
Now she regrets spending her time in a hospital. She should have just gone home after the surgery, but she remains in the hospital to make sure that if anything bad occurs after the surgery, help is ready and within reach. Prior to the surgery, she watched a documentary online about plastic surgery gone wrong. The patient who went home after surgery had suffered extreme allergies to the medicine used on her face and she died in her home. She doesn't want it to happen to her, that's why she chose to stay in the hospital for safety reasons.
Tomorrow afternoon she will be going home to uncover what her husband is up to!
