Chapter 422 Someone Acts Foolishly, Someone Wakes Up in Time

Chapter 422 Someone Acts Foolishly, Someone Wakes Up in Time

Veda opened her mouth, but couldn't make a sound.

Soren's expression changed.

This time, there was a hint of fear toward Emily.

He knew Emily was skilled in medicine, but this was like pressure point techniques, right?

Emily could do it with just one silver needle.

If she really wanted to harm someone, wouldn't she be able to kill without leaving a trace?

Soren thought back to his attitude toward her and felt like he'd already been hovering at the gates of hell several times.

It seemed that from now on, no matter what, he had to keep Veda and his family in check and stay away from Emily.

Emily had no idea what Soren was thinking.

She continued inserting needles into Veda.

Tyler was amazed and impressed that Emily had silenced Veda with just one needle to seal her pressure point.

He recognized that acupoint.

But his knowledge of acupuncture was only superficial - he really couldn't reach this level.

How could she do this?

However, Tyler didn't say anything more.

Emily's expression was serious now, completely focused on the needling.

This kind of acupuncture was extremely draining on one's energy and spirit.

When all the needles were in place, she looked like all her energy had been sucked out of her.

"Ms. Johnson, how is it? Is Veda's hand better now?"

Seeing Emily stop, Soren couldn't help but ask.

Emily clearly noticed his attitude toward her had become much more respectful, even with a hint of fear.

If she'd known that showing off this skill would make people behave, Emily would have done it earlier.

"Wait half an hour, then remove the needles and she'll be fine. But she stays indoors all day in that gloomy room - she should go out and get some morning sun, and prepare some nutritional supplements. She should be okay."

Since Emily was treating her, she naturally did it properly.

So she rarely showed patience with these people and gave medical advice.

"Yes, yes, yes."

Soren nodded repeatedly and lectured Veda, "Veda, did you hear that? Get more sun, and drink the supplements you're supposed to drink. You're young, you'll recover quickly."

The half-hour wait felt rather long.

Emily pulled out her phone and started playing games.

Zoey couldn't help but want to remind her, "Emily, isn't this a bit irresponsible? The patient isn't cured yet and you're playing games. Making Veda anxious could easily cause a negative reaction in the patient."

"Are you trying to tell me what to do?"

Emily's good mood was interrupted. She shot a sharp look at Zoey, her tone ice cold.

Zoey was shocked and her body trembled involuntarily.

This woman's presence was getting stronger and stronger.

"I just hope that since you took the money, you'd be more serious and consider the patient's feelings - that's something you should pay attention to when treating people."

Zoey was actually momentarily at a loss for words.

Emily rolled her eyes rudely.

"If you piss me off, I'll keep the money and not give it back, and I won't bother continuing the treatment. What can you do about it?"

Emily said the coldest, most ruthless words.

Zoey was shocked.

How could she so shamelessly say such things?

Daniel, oh Daniel, this kind of woman is worth your admiration?

"Don't go too far. I'm putting up with you because you can treat Veda. If you don't know what's good for you, don't blame me for..."

"Ms. King!"

Before Emily could speak, Soren cut Zoey off first.

"If you don't understand Ms. Johnson's treatment, don't speak carelessly. It's better for everyone, including Veda, if you just stay quiet."

Idiot.

At this moment, he couldn't let Zoey ruin things.

Besides, was Zoey so stupid that she couldn't see Emily's real abilities?

Emily raised an eyebrow.

She gave Soren another look.

Soren was pretty sharp and saw things clearly.

He'd changed his attitude so quickly.

Tyler had just gone out for a bit for some reason.

Now he came back.

He came over again, "Emily, tell me, what's this needle technique called? What are the key points? Whatever you need, just ask - herbs, poisons, I know about all of it. As long as you're willing to teach me, I can provide it for you."

Emily wasn't interested. "Sorry, I don't take students. You're too old. If I brought you out, and later had to tell people I have such an old student, that would be pretty embarrassing."

Tyler's expression froze for a moment.

But he quickly recovered his smile. "Then you be my student. That way you'll have a teacher, and when you go out, you can use my name - no one will question your medical skills. How about that? You'd actually be getting a good deal. Even though you're only teaching me this little bit, I can teach you so much more and give you lots of resources."

Tyler tried to tempt Emily with benefits.

But clearly his wishful thinking didn't work.

Emily was unmoved.

She checked the time.

Half an hour was up.

She stepped forward and quickly removed all the silver needles from Veda's hands and body.

Her movements were so fast they almost left afterimages.

No wonder they say removing needles also requires skill.

If you just randomly pull them out, something could go wrong.

Soren was really glad he'd stopped Zoey from talking nonsense earlier and hadn't angered Emily.

Otherwise, without Emily to remove the needles, Veda's hand would have been ruined.

"Ms. Johnson, is Veda's hand okay now?"

This time Soren spoke very carefully.

Watching Soren's somewhat flattering manner, a flash of malice crossed Zoey's eyes.

She was furious inside.

She thought Soren was so capable, but he had this little backbone?

"Emily, is Veda's hand better? To make sure nothing goes wrong later, you should sign a guarantee."

Zoey thought she was being smart and suggested this.

She wanted to remind Soren, "Soren, quickly have someone prepare a guarantee! This is for Veda's sake."

But Soren immediately said, "No need, no need. I trust Ms. Johnson."

Emily smiled.

Not completely stupid.

She looked at Zoey like she was looking at an idiot. "Do you really think everyone's as dumb as you? If I really wanted to control Veda, I wouldn't need to go through all this trouble. Next time I have a chance to meet her, I could strike anytime, and she'd only be worse off."

As Emily said this, she glanced at Veda.

This was also a warning to Veda.

Veda's body shook. She didn't want to experience that kind of pain again.

Her original thoughts of revenge died in the womb because of Emily's simple statement.

But Zoey completely ignored Emily's warning.

She was still cursing in her heart: Arrogant, so arrogant.

She'd find a way to secretly drug Emily later.

Then she'd see how Emily could still be so cocky.

Since Soren didn't insist on a guarantee.

This treatment was over.

Not only that.

Soren had people prepare lots of good things to give Emily, and arranged for a driver to take Emily away.

But somehow Tyler also got in the car.

"Mr. Thompson, if you just leave like this and something unexpected happens, how am I supposed to explain it to people?"

Zoey tried to stop Tyler.

On one hand, she didn't want Tyler to be alone with Emily. What if Emily really became his student? Wouldn't that make Emily Axel's classmate?

How could she use Axel to scheme against and get revenge on Emily then?
