Chapter 95
“What you should be concerned about isn’t whether there’s a relationship between the boss of Starlight Media and me, but rather when your new sister–in–law will be entering the picture.” Sherry said calmly.
“New sister–in–law?” Diana looked puzzled, “What nonsense are you talking about? My brother hasn’t been going on blind dates recently, so where would a new sister–in–law come from?”
“It seems like you’re far behind on the news,” Sherry said, showing a mocking expression, “Your brother and Cathy are deeply involved, and everyone around your brother knows that she will soon become your new sister in law.”
“Cathy!”
The moment Diana heard Cathy’s name, it was as if she had swallowed a fly.
“Has my brother gone crazy?”
The affair of Cathy cheating on someone four years ago was still fresh in her memory. Now she was going to marry her own brother?
Once this marriage happened, who knew how many people would be gossiping about it. The events from four years ago would be brought up again and again.
What about her reputation?
“Sherry, if you dare to lie to me, I’ll kill you!” Diana still had some caution left.
Sherry’s expression remained indifferent, “I’ve heard that Cathy donated a cornea to Ian many years ago, and one of her eyes has zero vision. Under such circumstances, if your brother doesn’t marry her, he will be criticized by the public.”
“Donated a cornea many years ago?”
“One eye with zero vision?”
“Are you joking with me?”
Diana felt that these words were too far–fetched.
Sherry pursed her lips and said nothing more. She got into a car parked by the roadside and left.
Outside the car, Diana was still stamping her feet in frustration.
Sherry’s eyes sparkled lightly.
The person she wanted to deal with Cathy for her was Diana.
Diana wouldn’t disappoint her, right?
After returning to Celesterra, Cathy immediately went to find Robert.
“How is the investigation going?” she asked.
“There was very little useful information left from this incident, so it’s difficult to investigate,” Robert said, scratching his head, feeling somewhat embarrassed to face Cathy.
It was rare for Cathy to assign a task to him, but he couldn’t complete it satisfactorily.
“In order to investigate this matter, I specially went to Sherry’s hometown, Evercrest Town. But no one there has ever seen the boss of Starlight Media, and he has never been there either.”
In other words, they found nothing.
Robert’s incompetence made Cathy feel annoyed.

“Although I didn’t find much, I did learn about you and fan. It turns out that you’ve known each other for a long time Kobert continued, as vote sounding awkward. “Back then, I was curious why he treated you so well, and I thought it was love at first sight. It turns out you developed feeling
over time.”
“Developed feelings?”
Cathy was about to leave when she suddenly heard him say this, and she froze for a moment.
Completely puzzled, she couldn’t understand the situation.
Didn’t she and Ian meet after Robert?
Wasn’t it love at first sight for them?
Robert was immersed in his own thoughts and didn’t notice the expression on Cathy’s face.
He sighed, “Back then, when Ian’s eyes were in trouble, you were there. Ian is cold by nature, and it’s hard for most people, especially women, to get close to him. Obviously, it was your unwavering support that made him develop deep feelings for you.”
The more Robert talked, the more wrong he sounded.
Why wasn’t it him who lost his sight back then? If it were him, could he have met Cathy? Then, she wouldn’t have been snatched away by fan so early?
Listening to these words from Robert, Cathy’s mind was buzzing. Robert didn’t know, but she already understood everything.
So, before she met Ian, Ian had fallen in love with another woman?
And that woman had a connection with him like this?
Robert mistook her for that woman?
“No wonder,” Robert continued, his voice tinged with sadness he couldn’t hide, “Back then, I asked Ian why he liked you so much, why he pursued you from the first glance. He said that even though you had just met, you had known each other for a long time.” Robert sighed, “At the time, I thought it was just confusing and didn’t make sense, but now I finally understand.”
“By the way, Ian is really incredible. He recognized you just from your voice.”
Cathy: “…”
It turned out that not only Robert mistook her for that woman, even lan…
No wonder!
All the questions that had puzzled Cathy for years suddenly became clear after hearing Robert’s words.
No wonder Ian was cold to everyone but unusually kind to her.
No wonder he, who had little patience, indulged and cherished her no matter how willful and unreasonable she was, even when she embarrassed him by cheating in public.
It was all because… he mistook her for the person who had supported him unconditionally.
Upon realizing this, her face turned pale in an
instant.
Originally, she wasn’t the person Ian truly loved. She only received his affection due to a misunderstanding! It was too ironic!
Over the years, Cathy had grown accustomed to being treated with high regard by Ian and had become quite proud.
But now, she realized that her arrogance was all based on a misunderstanding, and this revelation felt like a slap on her face.
It hurt, unbearable, and extremely frustrating!
She suddenly felt like a thief, silently stealing away someone else’s everything.
Cathy couldn’t bear this outcome. She clenched her head tightly, “How… how could this be!”

Chapter 95
How could she, Cathy, accept someone else’s inexplicable favor?
She was a peerless talent, and her own abilities were enough to win Ian’s affection!
Damn it! Why did so many misunderstandings happen?
She rushed out, determined to tell lan the truth.
She didn’t want to be this substitute!
She refused to accept this inexplicable charity!
As Cathy was about to step out, Robert’s voice reached her again, “Strange, that doctor said your family is in the shoe business, but I remember your uncle has never been in the shoe business. Must be a mistake.”
Unintentional words can have significant effects.
Cathy’s steps suddenly froze in the middle.
Her face was now even paler.
It was true that her uncle’s family was never in the shoe business. But she remembered her grandmother had mentioned that Sherry was the daughter of a shoemaker.
Could it be…
Cathy didn’t dare to continue thinking and covered her head with force.
“Cathy, what’s wrong with you?” Robert finally noticed something was off and hurried over to support Cathy.
He touched Cathy’s hand and felt an extreme coldness.
Robert saw clearly that her face had turned as pale as paper.
“Are you sick?” He was quite scared now and held her tighter. “I’ll take you to the hospital right away.”
Just as Robert was about to bend down to lift Cathy, she tightly grabbed his collar, pulling it close to her eyes.
Robert was stunned, “Cathy… you?”
Cathy bit her lips hard and said forcefully, “Listen to me!”
