What kind of excitement?” Robin, who had been so nonchalant before, asked.
He was wearing that racing suit he’d put aside earlier, all set to hit the track. In that orange racing suit, with his neatly done hair and cool sunglasses, he really looked quite imposing
Winona tilted her lips in the direction of Fredrica and me, a meaningful smile on her face. “How about racing over
there?”
She pointed with the hand holding her helmet.
When everyone saw the direction she was pointing to, they all gasped.
That track was newly developed and it was specifically for off–road driving. It had a complex network of mountain and water paths, with every turn being sharp and sudden. The track had just been completed and no one had gone in to race yet.
No one knew what the condition of the track was like. This was like doing a small–scale wilderness survival competition. Even during the day, wilderness survival was very dangerous, let alone doing it at night. The danger factor was multiplied.
Robin knocked on his own car and didn’t answer right away.
Winona took big steps and walked up to Fredrica and me. “What do you think?”
She tilted her head to one side, asking with her mouth but with a provoking curl of her lips.
Fredrica didn’t show much on her face, but inside, she was already smiling.
As the queen of live streaming and product endorsements, she had always been the one provoking others. This was the first time someone tried to provoke her. She had mastered these tricks a long time ago, so how could she be provoked?
She didn’t answer but instead looked at Cathy. “Is this what Cathy wants?”
Fredrica’s voice was loud, calling out to Cathy.
Fredrica didn’t dare to answer directly, making Winona think we were feeling guilty. Winona had been a bit shaky. just now, but now her confidence multiplied.
“No, it’s..” She didn’t finish her words before Fredrica opened the car door and walked over to Cathy.
“I’d rather hear Cathy say it herself.”
Cathy sat elegantly in the car. Even though she was wearing a racing suit, she still looked delicate, beautiful, and dazzling. She smiled lightly, her smile just right. “Winona said she wants to race, and I don’t want to spoil her fun.”
Oh, I see. Fredrica nodded, with a smile that seemed like a smirk.
Although she didn’t say anything more, Cathy clearly felt that she was mocking her!
Her hidden fingers silently clenched into a fist, and a moment of frustration flashed across her face. But because of the poor lighting and how fast things were happening, no one could see it.
In fact, this was what she meant. However, she was a star and had an image as a goddess. It wouldn’t be good to leave an impression of being overly competitive. She cleverly suggested it, and Winona fell for it. Since even Winona didn’t realize she was being used, what was there to worry about?
She maintained her graceful demeanor and nodded. “That’s right.”
After asking Cathy, Fredrica walked behind everyone.
Everyone didn’t know what she was up to, and their eyes
followed her movements
“Do you agree, lan?” Fredrica stood in front of a tall figure and asked with her lips raised.
Ian had been standing there the whole time. In ordinary circumstances, no matter where he stood, he would be the most eye catching. In fact, that was the case just now. Even if he stood in the darkest corner, many people noticed him. But the race between me and Cathy just now overturned so many things that everyone’s attention was successfully diverted. So they ignored him.
Seeing Fredrica coming to find him, they all showed a meaningful expression. Although many people didn’t know me before, my race just now attracted a lot of attention.
After asking around, they already knew that I was lan’s ex–wife. The relationship between an ex–wife and a first love was always the juiciest gossip, and now that I and Cathy were together, the topic was overflowing. Everyone was secretly admiring Fredrica for still daring to provoke Ian.
But lan’s handsome face remained unchanged. He just looked at Fredrica with his eyes as black as obsidian. His lips. were pursed but he didn’t speak.
Fredrica smiled. “Cathy is your favorite, and she wants to race on such a dangerous road in the middle of the night.
You don’t mind?”
She was targeting both Cathy and lan at the same time, making anyone think more.
At this moment, not only Winona but even others thought that I lacked confidence. Was the victory just now merely
a coincidence?
“Since Miss Fredrica is unwilling, let’s forget about it,” Winona smiled and said, showing a particularly understanding expression to Fredrica.
There was something hidden in this expression, and it was clear to everyone.
After speaking, she turned and walked towards the car.
“Who said I’m unwilling? Fredrica’s voice came from behind. “I just wanted to give Cathy a preemptive warning in
case the ques too impulsive.”
Even in the cat find it hard to express & emile, feeling like my he was about to crack
Fredrica was clearly implying that Cady couldn’t beat Been Cathy’s fingertips roisted and twisted.
Cathy twisted and twisted her fingers, breaking several nails.
“Who’s impulsive? You guys are the impulsive ones in terms of cultivation, Winona was no match for Fredrica and immediately became furious.
Cathy jumped out of the car and pulled her back. Enough, Miss Fredrica meant well.“
Winona didn’t say anything else and sulkily went back to her seat.
Cathy, on the other hand, walked gracefully to lan. Tan, I’m going.”
A coquettish smile floated on her face, sweet and gentle, and even the people around could feel the sweetness.
They all thought that lan would respond with the same tenderness and show affection.
But for a long time, they didn’t see any reaction from him.
Everyone couldn’t help but look over and catch his gaze.
His gaze went beyond Cathy and fell in the car in front of the track
In the car was me.
After making so much effort to find lan, she wanted to provoke Fredrica and me. But she didn’t get lan’s attention; instead, he was looking at me?
The smile on her face couldn’t hold anymore. It twisted and contorted, losing its grace.
At this moment, Ian wasn’t thinking about anything else. Fredrica, Cathy, and Winona had all expressed their intentions, but I didn’t entirely
y a word. Although I showed extremely strong skills just now, off road racing w different from track racing. There were more uncontrollable factors, and someone who could race on the track
might not be able to handle off–road racing.
Jan slowly withdrew his gaze and nodded at Cathy. “Be safe.”
Only then did Cathy smile sweetly again. “I will.”
She elegantly returned to her car and, passing by me, raised her helmet. “Don’t expect any favors on the track. Good luck trying to beat me!”
I acted as if I hadn’t heard it.
Chapter 15
Everyone:
Robin chuckled. “She’s quite unique, isn’t she?”
Michael nodded. “I definitely like her.”
As soon as he finished speaking, he suddenly felt a chilling sensation on his back.
He turned around with a puzzled look and touched his hack, only to meet Inn’s gaze.
Oops! How scary!
“What I said. I was talking about Miss Stewart,” he explained, touching the back of his head.
He thought lan was angry because he misunderstood that he liked Cathy.
He should have kept his mouth shut. As soon as he said it, the chill in lan’s eyes became sharper and colder!
Michael:“”
As Robin observed Ian’s reaction, he couldn’t help but smile to himself secretly.
Men, they all had this problem. Even if the woman was divorced, they couldn’t stand someone else desiring her.
He deliberately touched his hairstyle and raised his voice. “What kind of man do you think my former sister–in–law will marry in the future?”
Jan turned around, leaving him with his back.
After finalizing the race rules, everyone took their positions.
Robin’s men brought up the surveillance footage from the cameras placed all along the route and displayed it on the big screen.
The staff quickly adjusted the camera to the starting point.
The headlights of two cars illuminated the dark road ahead.
Seeing Fredrica and me in the cars, Michael exclaimed, “Damn, what are they up to?”
