Chapter 77
Robin was one of the well known figures in the circle.
If lan was the most adept at business among the second–generation wealthy, then Robin was the best at racing–professional racing, to be precise.
He not only achieved excellent results in professional racing competitions but also became the most sought–after advertising model for car dealers.
Robin and lan could be considered distant cousins. Their grandfathers were brothers, but they weren’t particularly
close.
Cathy was taken aback when she saw Robin, a prominent second–generation wealthy, standing next to Sherry, who was relatively unknown and deemed useless. Her gaze naturally fell on Sherry, but she couldn’t see her expression as Sherry had her back turned to her. Robin’s face was only partially visible, his expression hidden.
Only Fredrica’s face was fully visible, and she looked extremely excited. Cathy’s fingers were still silently pinching under her sleeve. She knew that although Robin was famous, he also had a serious “rich playboy” personality and didn’t bother with everyone.
She made a point to greet him every time she saw him, but he never reciprocated with the same warmth. For others, he might not even spare a glance and wouldn’t waste his time talking to them. The fact that he was willing to stop and talk to Sherry meant that she held special significance to him.
What was the relationship between Sherry and Robin?
Cathy’s mind was filled with wild thoughts, and she couldn’t help but turn her head to look at Ian. She found that his gaze was also fixed on the three of them. However, his expression was inscrutable, and she had no idea what he was
thinking.
When she had encountered Sherry before and Sherry had offered her blessings, lan’s expression had changed. Cathy couldn’t help but feel uneasy.
However, she didn’t show anything on the surface and instead, came up with a thought while covering her mouth with a smile, “Look at me, getting startled over nothing. Fredrica is known for her social skills. Many big shots come and go from her live streaming room. I guess this time she’s looking for Robin to help her gain some popularity.”
The implication was that Robin and Sherry had no relationship at all. Tan stopped not because of Sherry’s face, but rather out of consideration for Fredrica. Cathy said this both in words and in her mind.
Regardless of the changes in Sherry’s appearance and temperament after the divorce, she couldn’t change the fact that she was the daughter of a shoemaker. A girl from a small and ordinary family could never reach the pinnacle of society or achieve anything significant. There was no need to be nervous about such an insignificant woman.
With this in mind, she took the initiative to hook her arm around lan’s and said, “Since we’ve run into Robin, let’s go
over and say hello.”

Chapter 77
Ian barely made a sound in response. The two walked towards Robin together. Sherry saw their figures out of the corner of her eye, but she didn’t even acknowledge them. The conversation with Fredrica continued, with her taking the lead on the topics.
At the same time, lan’s gaze was fixated on them as well. But it was clear thut he was experiencing being ignored- again. This indifference didn’t show any deliberate traces; it was just like how one might ignore a stranger passing by. Ian’s fingers clenched silently, and his nails sank into his palma.
He never knew that a person could change so drastically. Sherry’s transformation was like a magic trick, and the difference was immeasurable. He still vividly remembered her standing with lowered head on the path he had to pass, and when she saw him, her eyes showed caution, hope, affection, and a hint of longing
But how long had it been?
They had only been divorced for about a month.
And now she treated her former husband as if he was invisible?
If her previous coldness and sarcasm were uncomfortable for him, then her current disregard felt like an invisible sword stabbing into his chest. The pain spread silently from his heart. His face became even more gloomy.
“Ian, Robin is calling you,” Cathy gently told him, and he snapped back to his senses, raising his expressionless face.
Cathy was looking at him awkwardly. Although she had a smile on her face, she couldn’t conceal the embarrassment beneath her brows. Him being absent–minded in front of Robin was like a slap in her face. Despite it being her supposed happiest day, she tasted more bitterness and frustration.
“Robin,” Ian spoke calmly, calling out his cousin’s name.
Robin had his hands in his pockets, looking at Ian with interest. “Ian, you’ve become quite murderous since the divorce. What’s going on?” He smiled in a nonchalant way, raising an eyebrow slightly. This expression appeared indifferent, but it carried an underlying meaning that made Cathy uncomfortable.
What did he mean by “murderous“? What did he mean by him being more murderous after the divorce? Was he implying that lan wasn’t happy because of his divorce from Sherry?
“Tan is now in charge of a major creative company, and every decision he makes has a significant impact on the company. Being decisive and firm has become a part of his nature, which may seem serious at times,” Cathy explained in a soft tone, suppressing her displeasure. She leaned closer to lan, silently hinting at their relationship.
Seeing her actions, Robin smiled knowingly and nodded. Then, she asked, “By the way, what did Fredrica want from you? Did she want you, the great Buddha, to visit her livestream room?”
“No,” Robin shook his head.
Cathy was about to change the topic, but he added, “I was the one who contacted them.”
“You… contacted them?” Cathy’s heart skipped a beat as she looked at Robin in disbelief. Robin’s decision to reach out to Sherry and Fredrica was unexpected, given his previous attitude of superiority towards lan. This… was simply unbelievable.

“What kind of unexpected surprises?” Cathy asked with great interest.
