He was consumed by insane hatred, like he wanted to stab me to death.
I bit my lip hard. In that moment, something inside me broke, and I finally let go.
Yeah. I deserved this.
I knelt up straight on the floor, then bowed my head to the floor like a dying leaf.
‘I understand. Miss Parvis, Mr. Ronan–I was wrong.”
Something I couldn’t read flashed in Ronan’s eyes. He snorted coldly, “Kneel until Natalie is satisfied!”
He walked away with his arm around Natalie, while I remained on my knees, inching forward in humiliation–reduced to serving them like a dog.
When Ronan and Natalie flirted around in the bathtub, I knelt beside them holding their clothes.
When Ronan put on an apron to make her breakfast, I knelt nearby holding plate.
When they made love over the house, I knelt there cleaning up their mess, picking up clothes and being their footstool.
Like the lowest servant, I watched him do all the things he used to do just for me–now twisted into tender moments
with another woman.
My stomach felt like it was being torn apart and my face grew pale. Blood kept bleeding from between my legs, soaking through my dark pants.
Ronan was completely lost in his pleasure, didn’t even glance at me.
I knew the pain meant my baby was crying for help, but all I could do was shaking my head in silent agony and whispered:
‘Baby, it’s not that mommy doesn’t want to save you… but you shouldn’t have been born into this family to suffer a
miserable life like this.”
‘Come find Mommy again next lifetime, okay?”
Ronan shot me a disgusted look as they finally finished making love,
“What are you mumbling about? Natalie’s thirsty. Get her water!”
I moved, and another gush of blood poured out. The smell of blood filled the air, Natalie pinched her nose in disgust and knocked over the hot water I was handing her.

“Ugh, what’s that fishy smell? Did you catch some disease screwing around because Ronan doesn’t satisfy you?”
I couldn’t take it anymore and collapsed onto the spilled hot water.
When the heat made me roll over, dried blood mixed with the water, spreading in dark red patches.
I felt dizzy for a moment, almost pass out.
The next second, Ronan grabbed my broken body and dragged me up.
He stared at me, even his voice started trembling:
“Sherry!”
“Why the fuck are you bleeding?!”
CRASH!
The glass bottle shattered on the floor. We both turned in shock, only to see Natalie was on the verge of tears, covering her finger that had a tiny cut.
“Seriously? You’re using ketchup to fake bleeding for attention?”
“Fine, whatever, but leaving an empty bottle here to hurt me on purpose? That’s low.”
I panicked and struggled to get up. “I didn’t!”
Ronan immediately let go of me and rushed to hold her.
When he looked back at me, the worry on his face vanished, replaced by a look of self–mocking disdain.
“Sherry, you’re exactly the kind of bitch I thought you were.”
“You like bleeding so much, huh? Well, bleed all you want here!”
He swept Natalie up in his arms and headed for the hospital.
“Wait!”
I gritted my teeth and grabbed his pants, leaving a trail of blood.
“Ronan, you haven’t signed the papers!”
The room went dead silent. The hesitation in Ronan’s eyes froze, his face darkening.
But Natalie still looked as fragile as ever, tearful and shrinking into his embrace, as if she hadn’t had enough yet.
I got it. With every ounce of strength left, I tried to kneel again and was about to slam my head on the floor to

apologize-
The contract was ripped from my hands.
Ronan’s face twisted with rage. He signed it without even looking and threw it back at me.
“Fine! Sign it! But I’m telling you–you and your mother’s karma is just getting started!”
“Just you fucking wait!”
The door slammed shut. I finally collapsed and laughed on the floor.
Ronan Henstone, we don’t have a future anymore.
After carrying Natalie into the hospital, the paparazzi swarmed them like vultures.
Usually he’d always share long and passionate kisses with the woman in his arms, letting them snap all kinds of scandalous photos for the papers to piss me off.
But today somehow, Ronan felt something wrong.
After getting Natalie settled in the top–floor VIP room, his finger unconsciously hit the ICU floor button.
Ronan tried to convince himself–no matter how fucked up things were with Sherry, her mom was still his mother–in–law. He should at least check on her.
But the bed outside the ICU was empty.
Ronan froze, panic rising in his chest. He rushed to stop a passing nurse, his voice cracking:
“Where did the patient in this bed go?”
The nurse recognized him, her expression softening with sympathy. “Mr. Henstone, you mean your wife’s mother?”
“The old lady… she didn’t make it last night, even though we tried to snatch her back from the grip of death.”
“We suggest you should… comfort your wife. She’s pregnant. She shouldn’t experience too much emotional stress.”
What? Sherry was pregnant?
