Chapter 191 Release Dennis

Chapter 191 Release Dennis

Alicia finally left.

The apartment fell quiet again, but Quinley's inner peace had been thoroughly shattered.

"Cindy, what are we going to do?" Elise was beside herself with worry.

When Quinley married Zachary, she'd used her own identity. Now that Alicia had stolen it, that meant she could only be Cindy for the rest of her life.

"Mom, don't worry. She can't steal it." Quinley tried to comfort her.

But Elise remained anxious. "Cindy, you need to discuss this with Zach right away. I'm afraid she'll use your identity to do terrible things!"

"Okay, I'll call him now."

When Quinley dialed Zachary's number, he'd just arrived at the hospital.

"What's wrong?"

"Alicia came by."

At those words, Zachary immediately tensed up. "What did she want?"

After leaving Quinley's place earlier, he'd already issued orders for an industry-wide boycott of the Davis Group. The order had been out for less than half an hour, and Alicia had already gone to see Quinley.

"She's Quinley now." Quinley's tone was flat.

She'd never placed much value on that identity anyway. If Alicia wanted to take it, let her.

But when Zachary heard this, his brow furrowed deeply. He remembered what Alicia had said—that she'd cling to him forever. If she really had stolen Quinley's identity, she truly could torment him indefinitely.

Anger surged through him.

"Quinny, leave this to me. I'll get your identity back."

"If she likes it that much, she can have it. I don't care."

"Don't you care about me?" Zachary sounded hurt.

"She can't steal you away." Quinley's confidence was absolute.

Zachary quickly reassured her. "Don't worry. You're the only one in my heart. I'll only ever be with you. She can't take me from you."

When two hearts are aligned, no storm from the outside can shake them.

After hanging up, Zachary immediately instructed his bodyguard to take him to the Elikin family.

For Alicia to have stolen Quinley's identity, the Elikins must have played a significant role.

Sure enough, the moment his car appeared in front of the apartment building, Marlee spotted it and hurriedly grabbed her stool, about to head upstairs.

Zachary gave a subtle signal. The bodyguard went up, and five minutes later, both Marlee and Colin were brought down.

"Mr. Jennings, what's the meaning of this?" Colin asked with feigned ignorance.

Zachary's face was ice-cold, his sharp gaze sweeping over Marlee. When she met his eyes, her shoulders trembled involuntarily.

"Looks like you're afraid of me."

Marlee hung her head. "N-no..."

"Tell me. Why did you do it?" Zachary didn't bother with pleasantries. He wanted answers.

"I don't know what you're talking about." Colin grew angry and tried to wheel away, but the bodyguard held the back of his wheelchair. He couldn't move.

"Mr. Jennings, this isn't our fault." Marlee put on an innocent expression.

One cold glare from Zachary silenced her immediately.

"Tell the truth."

Marlee glanced at Colin. They exchanged a look. Then Colin spoke.

"Quinley is our daughter. Who we give her identity to is our business. It has nothing to do with you." His tone was self-righteous.

Zachary listened with mounting fury.

Twenty-five years ago, they'd selfishly taken Quinley home. All these years, they'd exploited her without shame. When they thought she was dead, they'd profited from it. Now that they knew she was alive, not only had they refused to acknowledge her, they'd given her identity to someone else.

Zachary's fingers curled into a tight fist. The veins on his forehead bulged. The fire in his chest blazed.

There were many parents in the world, but only people like Colin and Marlee could inspire such rage.

"Tell me. What did she give you?"

Colin remained silent.

Marlee said carefully, "She promised Denny would be safe. When he gets out, he'll have a decent job."

For the sake of their precious son, they'd traded away Quinley's happiness.

Zachary's expression darkened further.

"Fine."

"Since you don't want Quinley anymore, remember this—from now on, don't ever appear in front of her again. Otherwise, I won't be polite."

It was a clear warning.

Colin was furious, pointing at Zachary. "We raised her. She has a responsibility and obligation to contribute to this family. You have no say in this."

"I'm making it my business."

Zachary's voice was sharp and cold.

The Maybach door slammed shut, and the car roared away.

Inside, Zachary made a phone call.

"Release Dennis in three days."

"Mr. Jennings, Ms. Elikin's family are all shameless. Releasing her brother—isn't that like letting a tiger back into the mountains?" The driver couldn't help asking.

Zachary exhaled slowly. "He won't make it back to any mountain."

---

As soon as he returned to the hospital, Harold appeared.

"Mr. Jennings, what are you doing?"

The boycott Zachary had launched against the Davis Group was a devastating blow. In just three hours after the order went out, every Davis Group operation had ground to a halt. The economic losses were incalculable.

Harold wanted to salvage the situation, but his abilities were limited. Against Zachary's ruthless campaign, he had no chance of winning.

Zachary gave him a cold glance. "Make the Davis Group disappear."

Harold's face went ashen. He suppressed his anger and maintained a humble posture before Zachary.

"Mr. Jennings, I thought we stayed out of each other's way. Why this sudden attack? If I've offended you somehow, I apologize now."

Harold bowed deeply.

Zachary checked his watch. "If you want the Davis Group to survive, make Alicia disappear."

Harold's eyes darkened. Zachary was forcing him to choose. Only the right choice would give the Davis Group a chance to survive.

"Alright. I know what to do."

He quickly left the room.

"Mr. Jennings, aren't you afraid Mr. Davis will fight back desperately?" the driver asked.

Zachary was calmer than ever. He'd deliberately concealed Apex Global Group's true power precisely for a moment like this—to deliver a fatal blow to the Davis Group.

"He won't dare."

But what Harold didn't dare do, Alicia did.

The day after confronting Quinley, she couldn't contain herself any longer. She started making moves.

She spent a fortune hiring dozens of top influencers and streamers to broadcast live, telling the story of her supposed romance with Zachary. She leveraged the internet's massive reach to cement the Quinley label in the public's mind. She wanted to prove to everyone that she was Quinley.

In the livestream, Alicia was putting on a theatrical performance. The influencers, having taken her money, followed her script—flattering her, praising her, directing public opinion in her favor.

When Quinley entered the livestream, there were already over six million viewers online.

Staring at the screen showing a face identical to her own, Quinley felt nothing but calm.

People only desperately grasp at what they lack.

She had no interest in watching Alicia's circus act. She quickly exited the stream.

But when Zachary learned about it, he was furious.

"Contact the media. Shut down all the livestreams immediately."
