RP Chapter 47

RP Chapter 47
      Kyle didn’t have a reply to Donovan’s smart-ass remark.
“I’m telling you, Ky, she’s in there, we’re going to have to get in there and fast.”
“Yeah, she’s been alone with them far longer than I’d like, not that I wanted that at all.” Kyle maneuvered around a few more cars then whipped up into the parking lot. “Fast enough?”
Donovan ignored the question. “Kyle, it’s the car, right by the door. How have they caused so much turmoil lately and be this stupid?”
“They aren’t as smart as you and Kacey, we’re getting Kacey back and taking the assholes down, tell boss where we are and have my back, little bro.”
           “Promise.”
~
Donny fist bumped Kyle and made more than one phone call as Kyle gunned up and made his way to the entrance near the white car that took Kacey.
“I don’t know if all of them are in there, but however many there are, they have Kacey.” Donny explained to the man who reached out to him and began this investigation from the get-go.
“I told you not to let them get her.”
“I know, I know, she set it up, she walked out of AS with ease and let herself be taken, I don’t understand what all of this about yet, Kyle and I are at the warehouse on Glenn Avenue, he’s ready to storm the place, kill them if they hurt Kacey .”
“She’s more resourceful than I ever thought she’d be, you four trained her well, but she’s in way over her head, I’ll be there in five minutes, do not go in until I get there.”
“That’s not going to happen, Kyle won’t be stopped, Kacey is his, he’s going in to get her, no matter what.”
“Donovan Jonas Davenport, you stop your brother, he can’t go in there.”
Donny paused for a moment, seeing Kyle head into the building broke his speechless state. “Sorry, too late, I have to go.” Donny hung up the phone and hurriedly followed suit of his older brother. Damn, this plan was going to shit quickly. What more could go wrong?
~
Kacey let out a small whimper as Calhoun pulled back his hand and back handed her so hard her other cheek hit the floor. She closed her eyes tightly pulling in a shaky breath.
Push the tears away, you’re stronger than this. She scolded herself. She pushed herself up from the ground and shot a glare up at Calhoun.
“You see, little girl, the truth of it all will die with you, the youngest Davenport couldn’t figure it out and he was picked first by whoever decided to start this investigation, he had to pull you into it because he couldn’t do it,” Kennedy growled out coming closer to her. “Maybe we could have a little fun before we dispose of her.” He suggested crudely.
“Not interested anymore,” Herz interjected. “She was ruined by the middle Davenport, who’d have thought it, right? He played her well or he’d be here by now I’m sure and never would have let her out of his sights,” he paused again as his ugly beady brown eyes raked over her. “On the other hand, I always wondered what she was like.”
Kacey flew to her feet as her stomach bubbled in disgust at the thought of any of the pervs touching her. Where was Kyle? Too much time had passed, he had to come, Herz was wrong about Kyle playing her. Wasn’t he?
She stepped back quickly as the four men stepped closer.
“Touch her and you’re all dead!” the hard, no-nonsense voice called out, followed by the click of the hammer of a gun.
Kacey sucked in a breath as the four men turned around to face nothing but darkness. This was to their advantage.
Kyle could see them, but they couldn’t see him, but the issue she had was should she stay where she was or try to get away while she could.
She took a step back when someone wrapped a hand over her mouth then around her shoulders holding her tightly. “I told them to wait for me, but Kyle is so stubborn, and Donny just likes to follow suit, smart as a whip but by no means a leader, get out of here as carefully as possible, I’ll get them out, go, Kace.”
Kacey wanted to look to see who was behind her, she had a very strong feeling of who it was but there was no time. She turned and made a run for it. She tried so hard to get out of sight but wasn’t fast enough, she heard Herz yell out.
“You all let her get away!” he sounded so angry, and next thing she knew a gun blast filled the warehouse and she did the only thing she could do a dive for the floor as the bullet blazed above her head and splintered a wooden crate in front of her. She was frozen, there wasn’t much she could do now. Herz and the others were going to fire wildly now, they wouldn’t let her go, they couldn’t know that she knew the truth of what they all did.

Anger filled Kyle even more when one second he saw Kace standing behind the three dirty agents and two-gun lords, but in the next she was gone. Then he heard Herz shout and the gunfire as the four of them spun around.
The dumbasses shot blindly into the dark and it was killing him that he didn’t know where Kace went. He hoped she took cover somewhere safe, this was going to be an all-out blood bath. Kyle shot a glance at Donny. “Bro, you have to get out of here, you’re in too much danger in here, don’t let Cunningham or the others come in here either.”
           “But, Kyle-”
“No, Donovan, go now,” Kyle urged. “As soon as I get Kacey and these guys taken care of I’ll be out, but I need you and the others out of my way and to stay safe.”
Kyle watched Donovan make his way back out of the building the way they came until he wasn’t in eyesight anymore.
“Y’all might as well give up, you’re surrounded, so it’d just be best to lay the guns down now.” Kyle kept his gaze locked on the four dirt bags when some movement flashing behind them caught his eye, his gaze flew behind them and trained it on the movement.
His heart came to a stop, along with his breathing. There was no way in hell. He couldn’t believe what he was seeing as the man behind them pressed a gun to Kennedy’s head.
This day just kept getting better and better.
