Eddie accidentally logged into Angela's stock account and started studying it.
In just a year, he revitalized Angela's stock account, investing in assets like Bitcoin and the metaverse, causing his net worth to skyrocket.
He also held controlling stakes in several multinational companies, and he was the third-largest shareholder of the Magic Strategy Group.
Angela was unaware of these secrets.
In Angela's eyes, he was always a naive little baby, and only in front of Angela would Eddie reveal his carefree, innocent, and adorable side.
He decided that when the time was right, he would reveal these secrets to Angela.
Eddie and Angela walked ahead, while behind them, Sidney carried his backpack, following them alone, unnoticed.
"Sidney is missing!"
Donovan called the Magic Strategy Group's CEO office.
Carlos had just finished a meeting when he received a call from Woodberry School.
Donovan sounded panicked, "Mr. Murphy, Sidney's gone! We've searched the whole school, but we can't find him. We've already called the police!"
The entire Woodberry School was mobilized.
In Donovan and the teachers' eyes, Sidney was a "mentally handicapped child" who never spoke and had intellectual disabilities. Normally, he would sit quietly in a corner of the classroom, never running around. Now that he was missing, they naturally feared the worst!
Carlos was furious.
"How could you lose my son? He's just a little kid! How could this happen?"
Donovan was terrified, his voice shaking.
"We don't know how Sidney went missing! At that time, all the children were in the nap room, and Sidney was in a separate room. The caregiver went to the bathroom, and the next moment, the child was gone."
"Could it be a kidnapping?" Mike said, trembling with fear.
With Carlos's status, kidnapping Sidney for ransom from The Murphy Group was not out of the realm of possibility.
Carlos glared at Mike.
"How did the kidnapper get into the school when I'vepoured so much in security at Woodberry School?"
Donovan said, "Mr. Murphy, the police have arrived and are reviewing the surveillance footage. We will cooperate with the police to find Sidney as soon as possible."
He hung up the phone.
Carlos stood up with a grim expression on his face.
In the CEO's office, everyone lowered their heads in fear, not daring to speak when they saw his expression.
Carlos said, "Cancel all afternoon meetings. Notify everyone that by any means necessary, Sidney must be found within a day!"
"Yes, sir!"
Leaving the subway station. Angela and Eddie went to the supermarket together to buy some groceries.
Eddie enjoyed this warm atmosphere the most. He stuck close to Angela, following her as she browsed the shelves.
"Eddie, do you want this?" Angela picked up a bag of chips.
Eddie excitedly raised his hands.
"Yes!"
Angela then picked up a combo pack, compared prices, and as she carefully calculated discounts and promotions to buy snacks he liked, this was Eddie's favorite thing to see her do.
Not far away, Sidney stood in a corner, secretly watching. Unbeknownst to him, he had sneaked out of Woodberry School, causing chaos, and now The Murphy Group was searching the city for him. But in his eyes, there was only this woman who filled him with longing and tenderness.
Angela didn't notice the other child following her all the way.
She pushed the shopping cart, and Sidney followed behind hesitantly. Whenever he saw Angela smile at Eddie, he always felt a twinge of sadness.
He envied and longed for it.
This scene of warmth, however, pierced his heart.
He was the young master, and Carlos never spared any love for him.
But in his heart, he also imagined what his mother would be like.
He wanted a mother, a warm and gentle mother like Angela.
Sidney quietly followed along until Angela paid at the counter, one hand holding the shopping bags, the other holding Eddie's hand, walking towards home.
At the doorstep.
Just as Angela and Eddie entered, Eddie obediently took the groceries into the kitchen.
Outside the door, Sidney saw Angela and Eddie enter, hesitatingly standing outside, looking at the somewhat old iron gate. His eyes blinked gently in black and white, and suddenly, he reached out and lightly pressed the doorbell.
Angela heard the doorbell and was somewhat surprised.
Who could it be?
She walked to the door, just as she opened it, she saw Sidney's beautiful face.
Angela's face changed abruptly.
"Sidney!"
The principal's demeanor turned serious.
His voice carried a mocking tone, "I'm not sure where you got this information, but do you genuinely believe you can compare yourself to Mr. Murphy? He has donated fifty million dollars to Woodberry School."
The implication was clear, wasn't Carlos's son entitled to some privileges?
Angela's view of Woodberry's ethos changed. The school boasted qualities like erudition, perseverance, humility, and virtue. Yet, coming from the principal, it all seemed like business talk.
However, Eddie suddenly let out a scoff.
"What are you laughing at, young man?" the principal asked, surprised.
Eddie's gentle smile read like that of a well-mannered young gentleman, "My mommy is great; she's kind and perfect. She gave me the warmest love in the world, the most valuable treasure in my life. She has no need to compare herself; she is priceless!"
Angela was deeply moved, "Eddie..."
"I don't have a father, so many people bully my mommy and are prejudiced against her. But in my eyes, it's not that no man wants my mommy, it's that no man is worthy of her!" Finished speaking, he stood up, took Angela's hand, "Mommy, let's go!"
Eddie and Angela left the principal's office. The principal's eyelids twitched. The depth and critical meaning in the words of a seven year old were astonishing!
The assistant approached, "Principal, that child really is brilliant, a rare genius. All the other children failed the difficult test, but he scored full marks in just fifteen minutes! Are you really going to miss out on a prodigy like this?"
The principal stood up and hurried out the door, but the mother and son were no longer in sight.
At the school entrance, Angela and Eddie, hand in hand, walked toward the bus stop.
"Mommy, will you be sad if I don't get accepted?" Eddie worried about Angela being disappointed.
"How could I?" Angela said. "The only fault lies with me for not being good enough to garner respect."
"Mommy is far from incapable!" Eddie argued. "Aunt Henna said it was to take care of sick Eddie that you gave up your career!"
Angela pinched Eddie's chubby cheek, "I'm so lucky to have such a wonderful son as you, Eddie!"
A smile illuminated Eddie's face, seemingly able to melt the coldest snow of winter. In truth, he had no interest in any elite school.
A year ago, he had already amassed a fortune of ten billion dollars.
To support Eddie, Angela juggled multiple jobs and occasionally dabbled in the stock market, where she had an account.
Accidentally logging into Angela's account, Eddie took up the challenge.
Within a year, he set the stock market ablaze with his investments in assets like Bitcoin and the Metaverse, skyrocketing his net worth.
Beyond that, he held controlling stakes in many multinational companies, including being the third largest shareholder in Magic Strategy Group.
Angela was unaware of these secrets.
To her, Eddie would always be her naive little baby, and he only revealed his worry free, innocent side in front of her.
When the time was right, Eddie decided, he would reveal all these secrets to Angela.
Walking ahead, Eddie and Angela were unaware that behind them, Sidney followed lonely, wagging his tail that had appeared, completely unnoticed.

"Sidney is missing!"
The call came through to the CEO's office at Magic Strategy. Carlos had just finished a meeting when he received the call from Woodberry School.
On the line, the principal stammered, "Mr. Murphy... Sidney has suddenly vanished! We've turned the entire building upside down and still no sign of him... we've called the police!"
The whole of Woodberry School was in uproar.
The principal and teachers perceived Sidney as a ‘child with cognitive challenges.’ He remained silent, was thought to have intellectual limitations, and typically sat in solitude in a corner of the classroom, avoiding energetic activities. Now that he was absent, their thoughts immediately gravitated towards the most alarming possibilities.
Carlos was furious. "How could you let this happen to my son!? How can such a small child just vanish without a trace?"
The principal broke into a cold sweat, his voice quivering, "We're clueless about how Sidney vanished! At that moment, all the children were in the nap room, and Sidney had been placed in a separate room. The caregiver had stepped out to the restroom briefly; who could have anticipated that the child would disappear..."
"Could it be a kidnapping?" Mike said, his voice shaking with fear.
Given Carlos's status, the possibility of Sidney being kidnapped for ransom from the Murphy Group was not unlikely.
Carlos glared at Mike. "Do you know how much I've invested in security at Woodberry School? How could a kidnapper even get into the school?"
The principal said, "Mr. Murphy, the police have already arrived and are reviewing the surveillance footage. We will cooperate with them to find Sidney as soon as possible."
Carlos hung up the phone with a grim look on his face and stood up.
In the CEO's office, secretaries and assistants lowered their heads in terror, not daring to make a sound upon seeing his grim face.
Carlos ordered, "Cancel all meetings for the afternoon. Notify everyone that no matter what it takes, I want Sidney found within a day!"
"Yes!"
