Chapter 8

After Siddharth ended his call with Shivansh, Shivansh harbored sinister intentions. He swiftly retrieved his phone and contacted Raha's personal assistant.

"Hello, I'm sending you a number. Trace that number and tell me where that person is," Shivansh instructed.

The personal assistant responded, "Understood, sir."

Shivansh added, "And ensure that the person being traced remains unaware of your actions."

"Of course, sir," the personal assistant affirmed before ending the call.

Later that afternoon, while Raha was engrossed in her work, her phone began to ring. She noticed it was an unknown number but decided to answer. Upon saying "Hello," there was no response. Raha tried again, but the caller remained silent. Frustrated, she said, "Are you going to speak?" Still, there was no reply, so she opted to end the call.

After some time, Raha received another call, but this time from a different number. She answered and said, "Hello," but once again, there was no response. Repeating "Hello" multiple times, she received no reply.

Growing increasingly frustrated, Raha decided to switch off her phone in an attempt to put an end to the strange and silent calls.

On the other hand, Siddharth had received Raha's number from Shivansh, but he was torn about whether to call her. He was concerned that she might feel uncomfortable if he reached out. The desire to hear her voice battled with his reservations.

After a mental struggle, Siddharth finally dialed her number, hoping to connect with her. However, the voice on the other end informed him, "The person you are calling is switched off." Frustration overwhelmed him, and he angrily tossed his phone aside.

To keep his mind occupied and avoid missing her too much, Siddharth busied himself throughout the day. He tried to focus on other tasks and responsibilities, attempting to resist the urge to call her. His day was filled with various activities to help distract him from his longing for Raha.

In the evening, while Shivansh was relaxing by his pool, he received the awaited call. Quickly emerging from the pool, he picked up the call.

"Hello," Shivansh said.

"Sir, I've traced the number. The person is currently at XYZ location," his personal assistant reported.

"Ah, I'm impressed by your work," Shivansh praised.

"Thank you, sir," the personal assistant replied before ending the call, a malevolent smile gracing his face.

Shivansh, to himself, declared, "I'm coming for you, my baby sister."

On the other hand, Raha was in the midst of preparing dinner, a task she always found enjoyment in. She had a deep love for cooking, and it was now 8:45 PM. Abhay had already left with checking on her.

Meanwhile, Shivansh made his way to Abhay's secret penthouse. As he approached the entrance, he was halted by one of the bodyguards.

"Who are you?" the bodyguard questioned.

"I want to meet Raha," Shivansh replied.

The bodyguard sternly responded, "No one is allowed inside without informing our boss."

Shivansh countered, "But I'm Raha's brother."

The bodyguard remained skeptical, asking, "How can I trust you?"

To prove his identity, Shivansh showed the bodyguard pictures of Raha with him. He even displayed photos from her wedding, including those where he was seen crying.

"Now, if you trust me, can I meet my sister?" Shivansh requested.

The bodyguard reluctantly agreed, "I will check with her first to see if she wants to meet you, and then I'll let you see her."

Shivansh, however, insisted, "No, I want to surprise her. I also have every right to meet my sister. What if she becomes angry with you later for not allowing me in? She might even convince your boss to fire you."

The bodyguard, fearing the consequences, relented, saying, "Alright, you can go inside."

"Good," Shivansh responded, and he proceeded to enter the penthouse.

As Shivansh stood in front of the main door of the penthouse, he waited for a few minutes before deciding to ring the doorbell. Inside the house, Raha was engrossed in her college studies when she heard the bell. Assuming it must be Abhay since no one else would visit at this hour, she went to answer the door.

Slightly opening the door, Raha was taken aback when she saw Shivansh standing there. Shocked and frightened, she immediately tried to close the door. However, Shivansh managed to stop the door with one hand, preventing it from closing completely. Raha pushed with all her might, but her efforts were in vain. Shivansh forced his way inside, further increasing Raha's shock and fear.

Raha's heart raced as she watched Shivansh step into the penthouse. Her initial shock turned into a deep sense of dread. She had been trying to escape Siddharth's control and find safety with Abhay, but now it seemed like a different threat was at her doorstep.

Shivansh's eyes fixated on Raha, and he grinned menacingly. "Well, well, well, if it isn't my dear little sister. I've missed you, Raha."

Raha's voice quivered as she replied, "What are you doing here, Shivansh? You shouldn't have come."

Shivansh's smile didn't waver as he taunted her, "Oh, dear Raha, you didn't think you could run away and hide from me, did you? You're not going to escape so easily."

Raha was aware of her dire situation. She had no idea how much Shivansh knew or what he intended to do, but she couldn't let him harm her newfound freedom. With a sudden burst of determination, she decided to confront him.

"You have no right to interfere with my life, Shivansh," Raha said, her voice growing stronger. "I won't let you control me anymore."

Shivansh's expression shifted from amusement to anger. He took a step closer, and Raha stepped back, fear creeping into her eyes. "You don't understand, Raha. You're mine. You always have been, and you always will be."

But Raha wasn't willing to be a pawn in anyone's game any longer. She tried to sound more assertive. "I've moved on, Shivansh. I'm with Abhay now, and I'm not going back to your control."

Shivansh's anger flared, and he lunged forward, grabbing Raha's arm. She winced in pain but refused to give in. She mustered all her strength and kicked him hard in the stomach. Shivansh stumbled back, his grip on her arm loosening.

In that moment of freedom, Raha rushed towards the door. She tried to pull it closed behind her, but Shivansh was too quick. He grabbed her from behind and, with a strong yank, pulled her back into the penthouse.

The struggle continued, and Raha knew she had to find a way out of this perilous situation. She couldn't go back to the life she had been trying to escape. As she fought to break free from Shivansh's grasp, her mind raced, searching for a solution that would ensure her safety and keep her newfound freedom intact.

Shivansh pinned Raha against the wall, firmly holding both her wrists with just one hand. He pressed his face against her neck, and a shiver ran down Raha's spine as he inhaled her scent.

"Darn, baby sis, you smell so good," Shivansh said, a tone of perversion in his voice that made Raha feel disgusted.

"Stay away from me," Raha pleaded, her voice trembling with fear.

"I will, baby sis, I will... but only after spending a night with you," Shivansh taunted, his words sending a chill through Raha.

Raha was filled with terror, and she cried, "You know I always wanted this... but I never got the chance. Look, today I've got you."

Tears streamed down Raha's face as Shivansh continued to torment her.

"No, baby sis, don't waste your tears here," Shivansh sneered, his voice dripping with malice. "Cry on the bed when I'm on top of you."

Raha mustered all her strength and pushed him away, but he responded by pressing his body against her even harder. She continued to sob, trapped in a nightmarish situation that threatened her newfound independence and safety.

With an eerie calmness, Shivansh lifted Raha into his arms. "I didn't expect you to be this lightweight... do you eat something?" he remarked, his words laced with malevolence. Raha's tears flowed even more as she felt helpless in his grasp.

As Shivansh carried her toward the bedroom, Raha's fear intensified. She was on the brink of desperation, not knowing how to escape this dire situation. In a desperate act of self-defense, she bit down on Shivansh's chest. He winced in pain, and his grip on her loosened. Raha seized the opportunity to break free from his grasp and fell to the floor.

Raha scrambled to her feet, running as fast as her trembling legs would carry her. Shivansh, shocked by her sudden resistance, chased after her. But before he could catch up, Raha reached the bedroom and locked the door behind her.

Shivansh pounded on the door with force, his voice carrying a sinister tone. "Raha, open this fucking door, or I will make things much more difficult for you."

Inside the room, Raha was consumed by fear. Her body was drenched in sweat, and she quivered with apprehension, not knowing what horrors might unfold next.

Raha was already overwhelmed with fear, not knowing what to do as Shivansh relentlessly pounded on the door. The force of his blows made her even more terrified. In her panicked state, she spotted her phone lying on the bed. She realized she could call Abhay for help.

Raha approached her phone with trembling hands and found it was switched off, as she had done earlier in the afternoon. Her anxiety grew as she struggled to power it on. Shivansh's relentless assault on the door added to her desperation, and her tears continued to flow.

After what felt like an eternity, Raha's phone finally powered up. She noticed some missed calls from an unknown number but chose to ignore them, thinking it was similar to the calls she received earlier in the day. She quickly dialed Abhay's number, hoping for his assistance.

On the other side, Abhay was in the middle of a shower, and his phone was left on a table outside the bathroom. The ringing went unnoticed, and Siddharth, who had just returned from the office, noticed Abhay's phone ringing. Initially, he disregarded it, thinking Abhay was in the shower. However, when the ringing persisted, Siddharth became curious and approached the phone. He saw that it was Raha calling Abhay and felt a twinge of jealousy. Siddharth contemplated whether to answer the call or let it ring, his emotions swirling as he held the phone in his hands.

Siddharth contemplated for a moment before deciding to answer Raha's call. However, before he could utter a word, he was met with Raha's trembling voice pleading, "Abhay, please come here. He's here. Please, please come."

Siddharth was taken aback, wondering why she was addressing him as Abhay and why she sounded so frightened. Confused and worried, he inquired, "Who, Raha? Where are you?"

"Please, he will kill me," Raha cried out, her voice filled with terror.

Siddharth's shock deepened as he questioned, "Who, Raha? Who is going to kill you?"

"Shi... Shivansh," Raha managed to say between sobs.

Siddharth couldn't comprehend why her own brother would threaten her life. "Raha... but before he could say more, the call disconnected abruptly, leaving Siddharth in a state of confusion.

Frustrated and angry, Siddharth tried to reach out to Raha again, but her attempts to call Abhay went unanswered as his phone had no battery. Siddharth's mind raced, filled with concerns for Raha's safety and the puzzling situation involving her brother.

Abhay emerged from his shower and was startled to see his phone in Siddharth's hand. He swiftly grabbed it back, and Siddharth's urgency caught his attention.

"Where is Raha?" Siddharth demanded to know.

Abhay rolled his eyes, initially hesitant to share information. "I'll never tell you," he retorted as he walked towards his room.

Siddharth was persistent, stressing, "Someone is with her right now. She called for help."

Abhay was taken aback. "What? Why did you pick up my call?" he asked.

"Because she kept calling you incessantly. When I answered, she was in tears, begging for help," Siddharth explained.

Abhay inquired, "Who is with her? I have tight security there."

Siddharth's response left Abhay stunned. "Her brother."

"What!?" Abhay exclaimed, realizing the seriousness of the situation.

Siddharth urged Abhay, "Let's go there; she needs us."

Abhay was initially hesitant but, understanding the gravity of the situation, he agreed. "Not us... just me. I can protect her. You can stay here." He began to make his way towards the exit.

However, Siddharth grabbed Abhay by the collar and delivered a powerful punch that sent him crashing to the floor. He asserted, "Don't forget, I'm her husband, and you're coming with me."

Resigned to the situation, Abhay agreed, "Fine, I'll go with you." He knew that Raha's safety was paramount, and he couldn't risk her life. She was his responsibility, and he was determined to do whatever it took to protect her.

With Abhay's readiness to accompany Siddharth, they left for Raha's location, their focus solely on ensuring her safety in this unexpected and dangerous situation.
