Chapter 163 Leaving - T.J. POV
My eyes widen at the bruises on Madison's neck, and my first instinct is to go and fuck Miguel up. I might even lose the fight, but no one puts their hands on my family and gets away with it.
"What the fuck happened, Madz!" I demand to know.
She sniffles, avoiding my eyes. "Miguel was dreaming. Please don't tell my parents, he didn't mean it."
I look at her in shock. "You do realize what that sounds like, right?"
I knew something was off with Miguel, he is busy fighting demons that only he knows about, and that only he can fix.
"We're leaving today." I decide. "I will call Uncle for the jet, it's not safe to be around him right now."
I know it's serious when she doesn't even argue with me. She's pregnant for God's sake, he could've hurt her and the baby.
I find him exactly where I knew I would, slamming the boxing bag over and over. He stills when he sees me approach, his head hanging in shame.
"What the fuck, dude!" I push his hard shoulder, but he makes no move to shove me back. "What did you do to Madz?"
"I was dreaming, I didn't know what I was doing." His voice sounds anguished. "I would never do anything to hurt her, you know that."
"But you did." I shake my head at him. "You need help, whatever it is that is bothering you. We're leaving today, you clearly can't be trusted around her."
Again, it must be serious because he doesn't argue with me either. I walk to Simon's bedroom door, my heart rate picking up speed as I think back on the night before on the beach.
I kissed him, and he kissed me back, before he broke the kiss and stepped away from me, to tell me that this is going too fast for him.
That he thought I was straight and this was a little confusing.
That makes two of us.
One thing I do know, is that I'm not as straight as I thought I was, and I really loved kissing Simon. And I want to do it again. And again. And again.
We both might have thought that I was straight, but my attraction to him is undeniable, and I really want to explore that, even if it's unchartered territory for me.
He blushes when he opens the door, his elegantly sculpted torso bare, and light, cotton pyjama pants hangs low on his hips.
We are in an emergency, but I can't help but let my eyes burn over his delectable body, wondering what it would feel like if I kissed over every hard ridge and line. What would his skin taste like?
He clears his throat, my eyes going back to his face and I find the same heated expression there. This is happening. Confusion or not. It's just a matter of time.
"Something happened, we're leaving as soon as I can get us a jet back. Would you get your things ready?" He really has the most beautiful lips. "Please."
He frowns, and I want to wipe it from his face. "Is everything okay?"
"I'm not sure." I run my hand through my hair in frustration, happy that I came here in person to protect Madison. "Just get your things together."
He nods, and our gazes linger on one another. I want to go inside his bedroom, close the door and kiss him like my life depended on it, but unfortunately it has to wait.
"T.J." Madison calls me from the door of the bedroom she shares with Miguel.
I give one last look to Simon and go to her, walking inside and noticing that she's already packed.
"I can't go back home like this." She says urgently. "Dad already doesn't like Miguel, and this is just going to make things worse. If you call Uncle Alessandro, this whole thing will get blown out of proportion."
I check if she is actually sane right now. "Your boyfriend strangled you in your sleep. Do you even know how strong he is? He could've killed you, and woken up with no recollection!"
She runs her hand through her dark hair. "I know, okay! But it's not him! Something is going on with him, and I know it's best if I leave right now, but I'm not going to throw him under the bus like that."
I look at her in disbelief. Her green eyes look back at me with trust.
"You're putting me in a very difficult position here." I clench out. "My first priority is protecting you, and I don't care who gets hurt in the process."
"And you are!" She immediately chimes in. "We're leaving, just not to go home, not yet."
"You better know what the hell you're doing." I sigh, wondering if the type of love she's showing for Miguel right now, would ever find me.
