Chapter 180: Let Me Please You

Chapter 180: Let Me Please You

Early the next morning, just as breakfast was being set on the table, Lucas rang our doorbell.

Naturally, he sat down at the dining table.

"What are you doing here so early?" Marcus asked with a yawn, clearly annoyed.

Lucas was peeling a hard-boiled egg. After peeling it, he placed the egg on my plate and said, "I came to discuss something with Bella."

Marcus looked at him suspiciously. "What's so important that you had to come over at this hour?"

Last night, Lucas got emotional and wanted to take me away from the club right then and there, but with Gale and Marcus around, there was no way they'd let him have his way.

So last night I went home with Gale and Marcus. I thought I could avoid Lucas's jealous anger, but I didn't expect him to show up first thing in the morning.

While eating the hard-boiled egg, I observed Lucas. His expression was calm, as if he didn't mind what happened last night.

"It's about Beckett," Lucas answered calmly.

"What about him?" Gale drank his coffee, his sharp gaze sizing up Lucas, as if trying to see through his act.

"The Woods family has investigated and confirmed he really is Michelle's son. Although Beckett still won't admit he's the one who hurt Octavia, they found a piece of clothing in his room with Octavia's hair on it." Lucas spoke unhurriedly. "Beckett appears to have a mental illness—every so often he gets the urge to kill. They're also investigating other crimes he may have committed."

Marcus sneered. "I knew Beckett was no good."

Gale put down his coffee cup. "Done? Anything else?" The implication was clear—Lucas could leave now.

Of course Lucas wasn't willing to leave just like that. He looked at me. "There's something I want to talk to Bella about privately."

Gale looked at me. I hesitated for a moment. Under the table, Lucas's knee bumped against my leg, so I had to nod.

Gale didn't press further. Lucas, in a good mood, used his knife and fork to cut the bacon and vegetable roll into bite-sized pieces and placed them on my plate.

I suddenly remembered something and asked him, "That evidence you gave to the Woods family that day—was it real?"

At the time, I saw Lucas write a few words on the envelope he handed to the Woods family: "Catch him!"

Lucas had deliberately added quotation marks before and after, meaning this message wasn't just for Terrence to see.

Later, Terrence shouted "Catch him!" and in his panic, Beckett tried to take Gerald hostage, revealing his weakness.

That's why I had this question.

"The evidence wasn't complete. I just had him cooperate with me to bluff Beckett," Lucas said casually. "If we could bluff him, great. If Beckett didn't react, I had other ways."

I couldn't help asking, "Then how did you guarantee Terrence would cooperate with you?"

"The venue where the meeting was held was built with my money. The Valeri family doesn't need it anymore, so I put a deed of gift in the envelope. As long as they're not idiots, they'd know what to do." His tone was casual, as if talking about something trivial.

Marcus's eyes widened. "Damn! Isn't that a huge loss!"

Gale also raised his eyebrows in surprise, with a hint of approval in his eyes.

The next second, Marcus snorted uncomfortably. "It's not our money anyway, nothing to do with us. But Bella, stay away from idiots."

I knew Lucas did this for me, so I shouldn't criticize his approach, but I felt a bit bad.

Such a huge venue, just for one sentence!

Probably seeing what I was thinking, Lucas smiled slightly and said, "The Woods family isn't that shameless. They didn't accept it."

"That's good then." I breathed a sigh of relief.

After breakfast, Gale had something to do and went out. Marcus went back to his room to catch up on sleep. I asked Lucas, "The study?"

Lucas picked me up horizontally. "Your room."

I instinctively wrapped my arms around his neck. "What for? We just ate!"

"We just ate, so what?" There was a subtle smile in Lucas's eyes.

"We just ate, it's not good to exercise vigorously right after." I answered guiltily, then remembered the scene last night at the club when he picked me up.

His lowered brow, tense jawline, and the force in his arms all showed he was jealous.

"What are you thinking about?" Lucas acted as if he didn't understand what I meant. He walked into my room, closed the door with his foot, then pressed me against the door and kissed my lips.

I figured there was no escaping today, so I obediently responded to his kiss.

His kiss wasn't forceful, but left me nowhere to escape. As he lowered his head, his breath brushed my forehead, his voice low and husky, carrying suppressed possessiveness. "Did you have fun last night? Did you like that kind of show?"

I knew it!

He'd been holding it in all night. Am I going to be fucked to death in bed in a moment?

I immediately said seriously, "Last night Karen invited me. I didn't go on my own. I had fun, but it was because I was hanging out with friends. I didn't like that kind of show at all!"

"Really?" I couldn't tell his mood from Lucas's tone.

"Yes!" My eyes darted around, and I turned the question back on him. "What right do you have to be unhappy? You're a regular at those kinds of clubs too. You've seen plenty of those shows, haven't you?"

Lucas even owned a club like that. During the day it ran normal business, but after midnight, it turned into a city of desire that stimulated every urge.

But I also knew deep down that Lucas had never touched women from outside. He had emotional cleanliness issues and always felt those women were dirty.

Sometimes I wondered whether his obsession with me was because he truly loved me, or just because he was used to having me around.

Lucas chuckled softly. "Good thing I've seen a lot. I learned some things too."

I didn't understand. "Learned what?"

Lucas put me on the bed and looked around the empty space beside the bed, seeming quite satisfied as he nodded.

I sat on the bed, still not knowing what he wanted to do.

Until Lucas slowly unbuttoned his shirt in front of me, took it off, revealing his muscular upper body, then pulled out a bottle of orange blossom-scented massage oil from his pants pocket and generously sprayed it all over himself.

My eyes widened. "What, what are you doing?"

"I told you yesterday—what they can do, I can do too." Lucas pulled my hand and pressed it against his chest. Through his warm skin, I could feel his burning heartbeat.

"Next, let me please you."

The indoor light was bright during the day.

My gaze traced over his firm chest, solid abs, and continued downward to see his Apollo's belt disappearing at the edge of his waistband.

Every inch of muscle was full of strength, dangerous yet captivating.

His hand followed my gaze downward. The belt buckle clicked softly, and his two straight, powerful legs were exposed before my eyes.

I couldn't help covering my face with both hands. "Lucas, don't, don't play around."

"Besides stripping, I also learned full-body massage." Lucas pulled my hands down, licked my lips, and asked temptingly, "Want to try?"

Our breaths mingled together. I was lost in his gaze, and nodded nervously yet expectantly.
