Chapter 33
"Fuck you, Keir," Octavia cursed, pointing a finger at him as she paced around, trying to gather her thoughts.
"You already did, the same way you fucked Atlas," Keir replied as Octavia stopped pacing around.
"I didn't fuck him; I told you we only kissed in the laundry room, and I panicked; that was why we were arguing because he thought he was too forward," Octavia explained.
"Really watermelon?" Keir said, walking up to her and standing close to her as he looked her in the eyes. "You can lie to yourself, but not to me; you fucked him; just admit it."
"I didn't; stop changing the subject! Octavia yelled.
"Just fucking admit it—that you fucked that bastard in the laundry room! Keir yelled back.
"Yes! Okay! I fucked Atlas."
"We are even in this," Keir pointed out. "All this whole fuck buddy thing is over."
If she could lie about Atlas, only God knows what else she has lied to him about in the past. He didn't want to picture her as a slut, but the thought of other men fucking her didn't sit well with him. It only made him more angry; it was best she just left right now.
"Of course it is over; you knew from the onset that you just wanted to use me," Octavia accused.
"We both agreed to this; you were even the one that suggested it, and I remember constantly asking you if you were sure, so don't you dare try to make me look like I forced you into this," Keir yelled.
Octavia stared at Keir. She had a lot to say, but she decided not to; she was too angry right now to even process her thoughts.
She walked out of his office without sparing him a glance; the sight of him felt repulsive to her.

~ OCTAVIA'S ROOM ~
"You did what? June yelled, staring at Octavia, who was smoking a cigarette.
Octavia couldn't remember the last time she smoked, but when she got home, drinking alcohol wasn't doing it for her; she needed something stronger. She took a grip on the cigarette, inhaling it and blowing what was left of it into the air.
"He was fucking his personal assistant; I am sure he had something to do with Rue, but he just decided to fool me by telling me it was Rue who forced herself on him," Octavia said.
Normally she would have been busy crying her eyes out right now, but she didn't feel like crying; she felt like smashing things in the air.
"He wasn't lying about Rue, but this whole Sandy thing, like, when did it happen? I never saw them together once," June said, also confused with Octavia. She tried to remember if she had ever seen the both of them in their usual positions, but she had never.
They were never seen together, and even when they were, it was always strictly business talk. Keir didn't even throw a glance at her; he never said anything about her, so how did it happen? When did it happen?
"How could he do this to me?" Octavia cried out, taking another drag of the cigarette.
So, he was now in a relationship, and she was what? June was right; she should have told Keir how she felt. She shouldn't have held back her feelings because she was afraid. Maybe things would have been different now.
She wanted to tell him in the office despite the fact that he had just told her about Sandy, but she was too upset by the whole thing. She was upset by the fact that he had lied to her all this time about Sandy; it was obvious he wanted to date her all along.
He was the one who had asked her to be his girlfriend, but why did it take him this long to do it? Why did he even pick her out of all the ladies he had been with to be his girlfriend? Why didn't he pick her to be his girlfriend since he so badly wanted to be in a relationship?
She had basically everything any man in their right senses would want; she was rich, hardworking, lovable, and a lot more. What was it that Sandy had that caught his attention so quickly? Was she better in bed than her?
The fucking Sandy girl wasn't even as beautiful as her; she was fine but not beautiful. What the hell did Keir see in her?
She took another drag from the cigarette while June tried to process everything. She could tell Octavia was really upset by the whole thing, and who wouldn't be? This was far worse than getting rejected; Keir not only rejected her. He was starting a relationship with another woman who wasn't even up to her standards.
"Did you really sleep with Atlas?"
"I didn't sleep with Atlas; I just said that because I felt so stupid for telling him I was only fucking him."
"So, you lied?"
"What the fuck was I supposed to do, June? I don't even fucking understand what the fuck I got myself into," Octavia cried out as June walked over to her, hugging her tightly.
"First of all, you shouldn't have lied about something like that, regardless of how angry you must have felt," June said. "But irrespective of that, you need to calm down; everything will be alright, okay?"
NEXT DAY
~ ON THE ROAD ~
~ KEIR'S CAR ~
"Was she mad at you about it?" Sandy asked, staring at Keir, who was driving to his mansion. She had been to his mansion a couple of times, but this time was different; it wasn't work-related. Keir wanted her to meet his family, and she felt like he was moving too fast.
He just asked her to be his girlfriend yesterday, and now he was already taking her to see his mother. She tried to reason with him that it wasn't proper, but Keir was adamant about it.
"I don't want to talk about Octavia; don't ruin the mood," Keir pleaded. He didn't want to hear that name or have to speak about what happened yesterday. The thought of everything was upsetting to him; he felt if he later told her about Sandy and his decision to call off their agreement, she would be happy for him.
He was wrong to think she would be; he shouldn't have even said anything about Sandy, but there was no way she wouldn't have found out about it anyway. It was a good thing he had told her himself, even though the outcome wasn't pleasing.
"I feel like all this is too fast for me to process," Sandy confessed.
"Like I said, meeting my mom is just me letting you know how serious I am about you being my girlfriend. It doesn't have anything to do with getting married or engaged," Keir reassured her. Marriage was the last thing on his list right now.
"Alright." Sandy tried to smile, but she was still nervous about how his mother would react to it.
