Chapter 510 Do You Also Have a Hobby of Watching People Use the Toilet?
"Mr. Brown, Mr. Jackson's been here for a while."
Fallon heard the engine and had just come out to greet them when Thalia heard the chaos of cats and dogs fighting inside the house.
"What's that noise?"
"Mr. Jackson's here to pick up his dog. The cat and dog are fighting. Fallon said helplessly, wanting to stop them but really unable to.
Hearing this, Angelina said, "Are you stupid? Mr. Brown is angry right now. Someone's finally showed up to be the scapegoat, and instead of staying out of it, you want to get involved?"
Thalia thought that made sense and sheepishly shrank back. "You're right."
Inside, Nicholas had no idea what was happening and was happily watching the cat and dog fight in front of him. After about three to five minutes, feeling a chill on the back of his neck, he looked up to see William standing at the door with a cold face, staring at him icily.
"Don't want your dog anymore?"
Nicholas was puzzled. Before the dog could react, the cat ran toward William, tail up, rubbing against his pant leg, looking like it had been terribly bullied. It seemed to have forgotten that its mouth was full of dog fur right now. The poor dog's butterfly-shaped fur had been half pulled out by it.
William watched, his mouth twitching. This cat must have learned a thing or two from Thalia. William bent down, scooped up the cat with one hand, smoothed its fur, and looked at Nicholas and his dog with cold eyes.
"Get lost."
Nicholas jumped in fright, grabbed his dog's mouth, and smiled obsequiously at William. "I'm going right now." He quickly scrambled out to the yard with his dog, and saw Thalia and Angelina standing casually under a tree with their arms crossed, watching him. Nicholas was speechless.
........
At ten-thirty in the evening, someone knocked on the door of the Jimenez Mansion.
Stefan opened the door to see several people in police uniforms standing there.
"Can I help you?"
The visitors showed their badges. "Police, here on a case. Is this Sean's home?"
"May I ask what case this is about?"
"Someone reported him for rape."
Stefan was stunned. He didn't know yet what had happened on the yacht, but hearing this, he almost lost his balance. "Isn't there some misunderstanding?"
If this were true, if it got out, it would be nothing but harmful to the Jimenez family.
"We have witnesses and evidence. We have no reason to come bother you this late at night as a joke."
"Please wait." Stefan turned and went inside, telling Steven about this. The latter's face turned cold when he heard. Looking at Sean sitting on the sofa, he asked, "The matter isn't resolved?"
"The other party refuses to settle."
"Is there anything in this world that can't be resolved? Whatever conditions they're asking for, just meet them."
Sean's face looked unpleasant from Steven's angry rebuke. He raised his hand to rub his brow. "I'll go again."
"Hold on for now. Deal with the people at the door first."
Steven went to greet the people at the door with a cold face, treating them politely and courteously.
Besides, these years, the Jimenez family had become a declining presence in Regal City and didn't dare to be arrogant anymore.
"Let's get straight to the point. We need to ask Mr. Sean Jimenez to come with us for questioning."
"Is there another way to resolve this?"
"Whether there's another way, you need to talk to the victim, not us."
"Let's go!"
"Let me go upstairs to tell my wife, just a moment." Before leaving, Sean thought of something and went upstairs.
In the second-floor bedroom, Bella was lying in bed, breathing steadily, seemingly asleep. Sean stood by the bed near her, his gaze somewhat softer. He wanted to say something, but the words stopped at his lips. As soon as Sean left, the person lying in bed slowly opened her eyes, clear and bright, without a trace of sleepiness.
…………
"Honey, your phone's ringing." Thalia came out, drying her wet hair, about to look for a hairdryer, when she saw William's phone vibrating on the nightstand.
Walking over and seeing it was Steven, her eyes lit up.
She unplugged the phone charger and cheerfully headed toward the bathroom. As soon as she pushed open the door and saw the man sitting on the toilet, her words instantly caught in her throat.
The latter had a strange expression, looking at Thalia with an indescribable gaze.
"Thalia, you have a hobby of watching people use the toilet?"
Thalia was disgusted, closed the door, and was about to leave, then walked two steps and realized the phone was still vibrating. She turned her back to the bathroom and pushed the door open, one hand covering her nose and the other reaching the phone inside.
"Your grandfather's calling."
"Too far, can't reach it."
Thalia put the phone on the floor and kicked it in.
Not caring whether William's phone was an international limited edition or not.
William was speechless.
At the door, Thalia perked up her ears to listen.
She only heard William chuckle lightly. "I can, but that's a different price."
As the toilet flushed, the bathroom door opened. Thalia wasn't paying attention and almost fell, but luckily, William was quick to catch her.
"Don't try to pull the relationship card. Between us is a business arrangement. I never do deals without returns."
Hearing this, Thalia clung to William's arm like an octopus, not caring that her hair was still wet and not blow-dried.
Blinking her bright eyes like a little sprite, mischievous and cute enough to make someone want to tease her, and in fact, William did just that.
Thalia saw the person on the phone suddenly stop and stare at her blankly, and had a bad feeling.
She asked, "What?"
"Mmm..."
"You didn't even wash your hands after using the toilet, and you're touching me?"
"Don't think you're dirty," William answered evasively, probably not answering Thalia's question, pressing her head and kissing her lips.
"You have the nerve to call me dirty?"
William smiled broadly, clearly delighted to see Thalia angry.
"What did Steven say to you?"
"Asked me to help solve Sean's problem."
"Does he really not know, or is he pretending? Knowing full well that I'm the one who set this up, with all the gossip flying around outside, anyone with half a brain knows that asking you is useless right now."
"People! They all choose to keep only the information that benefits them."
