Chapter 19: UNWELCOMED VISITOR

Allis's POV

Will smiled, legs crossed and his back comfortably relaxing like he owned this place.

He wasn't welcome here, and I don't know how he was able to get into my office.

“Is that your way of saying you missed me?”

“We got a divorce and went our separate ways.”

He smirked, tapping his fingers gently on the table. “That doesn't mean I can't come around to say hi.”

“Who even let you into my office? I will call tbe security on you!” I roared.

“Why don't you have a seat so that we can talk properly?”

I glared at him, fuming with so much rage within my nerves.

The same man I regretted welcoming into my life…the same man who beat me to a pulp as his wife…the same man I was so happy divorcing, was sitting here and asking me to entertain him for a discussion.

What could we possibly be talking about?

I turned, walked towards my door and pulled it open.

“Please, I suggest that you leave this place now.”

“I didn't come here for nothing, Allis,” He replied. “I need you to hear me out.”

I kissed my teeth while shaking my head. “You've got to be kidding me, Will. We got a divorce without even talking about it. This is a very wrong time for you to come back into my life.”

“So you're asking me to leave?”

I nodded firmly. “Yes, of course. Please use the door right away.”

He looked into my eyes for a while, and then he stood up, walking towards me.

He glared at me, keeping a firm eye contact with me.

“Leave!” I barked, keeping a firm expression while I looked into his eyes.

“Say hello to the twins for me.” He walked out of my office and I slammed the door right behind him.

I exhaled heavily, pulling my hair together as I took a seat.

Why did he come to my office?

Who even allowed him to come near this premises?

Seeing Will sparked a feeling of deep rage which I have been trying so hard to keep under control today.

Olivia walked in, and her brows furrowed as she noticed the expression written all over my face.

“What's the problem?” She leaned in, placing her hand on my shoulder.

I sighed, shaking my head while I kissed my teeth.

“Talk to me, Allis. You're making me scared.”

I took a deep breath. “Will just left my office.”

She smiled. “You're joking, right?”

I remained mute as she looked into my eyes.

She gasped as her mouth dropped open. “You're not bluffing.”

“I'm dead serious, Oli. He just walked out after getting me all tense and angry.”

She rubbed my back gently. “Relax, Allis,” she urged. “You're not supposed to allow that man to put you in this mood.”

I gritted my teeth, slamming firmly on my desk. “I really felt like digging my fists into his face.”

“Did you ask him why he was here?”

My brows furrowed as I stared at Olivia. “How's that supposed to be important?”

“I know he didn't just come here for nothing.”

I paused, letting my nerves calm down so that I could think straight.

“He actually mentioned talking to me about something, but I was too angry to even let him speak.”

Olivia's brows furrowed as she rubbed her chin softly. “I don't know why I have this feeling that he didn't just come here to spine you.”

I snapped my fingers as I suddenly remembered something I didn't take note of earlier.

“He asked me to extend his regards to the twins as he left.”

“You didn't stop to think how he got to know about them.”

I pulled my brows together, leaning back on my chair as I rocked it gently.

“It's not a big deal. Literally everyone who knows me will eventually find out about my twins.”

“Allis, you're not looking at this whole thing from the same perspective as I am.”

“I have so much going on in my life right now,” I replied. “This whole drama is the least I would add to my list.”

“Whatever. I actually packaged lunch for you.”

She pulled out a food flask from her bag, dropping it right before me.

Damn! I'm so hungry and could really use a nice meal.

“Thank you very much, Oli. You're the best.”

“That will help calm your nerves a bit. You've been on your toes lately, and it's written all over your face.”

I smirked. “I don't have a choice, Oli. I actually asked for this when I asked to be given the position of CEO.”

I inhaled the sweet savor of the meal she had prepared…irresistible.

I grabbed the cutleries and started feasting like I haven't had anything to eat throughout the day.

I enjoyed the meal, finishing literally everything within the flask.

Just as I dropped the food flask, I received a call from the school.

I picked my phone as my brows furrowed.

It was unusual for me to get a call at this hour from my twin's school.

The management went ahead to inform me that there was a man who came to take my twins in the guise of their father.

I jumped from my chair, and rushed down the stairs.

My driver drove me with Olivia who kept up with my pace as we reached the school.

I rushed out of the car and got into the school building just to meet Will trying to get access to my twins.

“What do you think you're trying to do?” I roared, rushing over to him.

He turned and then a soft grin spread across his face as he set eyes on me, like a child who was happy to see her mother.

“Hey, Allis. I think I finally got your attention. Can we talk now?”

“What stunt are you trying to pull, Will?”

“I just needed you to give me a few minutes of your time,” he leaned closer. “I have come to take my children.”
